Definitely do not visit this dental office. You will be diagnosed with work that you don't need; they will bill you and bilk you insurance coverage for the same work procedures. The quality of work done by Dr Van are totally unprofessional and unsatisfactory. He will claim on work that you need when you really don't need until it's done and you will end up with your teeth out of alignment and ruining your smiles. Keep and stay away from this place. I received an excellent cleaning at Advanced Dental Care from Alison Caldwell, today. She was pleasant and professional.

I would absolutely not recommend this office. It took my husband 4 visits for a cavity and cleaning. I had to take time off on 2 separate days for routine x-rays and cleaning for myself. The technician talked about herself the ENTIRE time she was cleaning, but can't talk and clean at the same time so my appointment took way too long. I saw the dentist for about 2.5 seconds (she did a weird tongue-lasso thing without any warning) after the LONGEST x-ray session that left my mouth painful and swollen for days after. I can honestly say, that in 40 years, this was the absolute worst dental experience I've ever had. For billing, my husband was quoted one amount, brought it in cash to pay, but then was told it was going to be more. There were out-of-pocket costs after sending it to insurance and it took 5 phone calls and an unanswered email before I could get an answer and pay while final notices were coming in. read more

I definitely would not recommend this practice. My husband had over $10,000 worth of bridges and crowns done there. We have since changed dentists and our new dentist has advised us most all that work needs to be removed and replaced, bridges were installed on teeth that were not suited for them. Now More teeth need to be pulled, more crowns and partial dentures are needed. it's Going to cost us a lot more money, time and teeth. read more

Dr. Davis created a crown for me which catches on floss, and added what she called fillers to my front teeth to keep them from cracking. The fillers are uneven and affect my bite. She ground my right front tooth after asking me how my bite felt, but my left front tooth was numb from the Novocain, so I wouldn't let her grind that. This action also now affects my bite. I have never before had a crown catch on floss. She had wanted to pull a tooth and do an implant last year, but I went to a periodontist. The staff are nice, but I will never return. read more

I went there and had to wait +1.30 hour after that I was brought to a room and then wait another 30 min before someone came. The doctor was very disrespectful and she had a bad attitude. Then another worker and the receptionist had all bad attitude. They very rude and they will scam you. I got a quote from somewhere else where it is $2000 cheaper. Also they charge a $320 just for a consultation and not even a cleaning. Everywhere else they will give you the cleaning. So save yourself time and don't come here unless you wanna get treated bad. read more

I gave a negative review because the office purposely overbooked and left me in the waiting room 45 minutes after my appointment was supposed to commence. They said in response that emergencies happen and we should settle for being treated like cattle. Why could they not come to the waiting room and explain the situation? They say they have tried to contact me. That is a blatant lie. They have all my information. They contacted me at least four times before the initial appointment. I called to schedule a cleaning because my former dentist stopped taking Cigna Insurance. I waited 2 months to get an appt since I was a new patient, however when I went in I was informed I would only have an "evaluation" done and the cleaning would be some other time. The staff was friendly enough, but not professional. Their office conversation talking about other staff and patients was not professional. There was a steady flow of staff in and out of my exam room, but not much was being accomplished. At one point the person working the phone and scheduling starts looking in my mouth with a mirror and probe. She said she was just helping out. Again, not professional. When I inquired why it was taking over 2 1/2 hours for the evaluation I received a rude response of " oh do you have somewhere to be ?" I could add more, but you get the picture. Had been a patient at Advanced Dental of Englewood for over 5 years. Everything from routine cleanings to crowns to bridges. Has an issue in January 2023 with a broken crown. Had a bridge installed, paid my share after insurance and thought everything was fine. Went back in April for routine cleaning and was told I owed an additional $813 because my bridge was denied by Humana Federal Dental. Turns out Advanced Dental had stopped accepting Humana as of January 1st. Of course no one in either the Dental office in Englewood or the parent company had informed me of that change. They also said I needed 2 new crowns and another crown for an implant which was done earlier. Total cost since they did not accept my insurance over $8500. So see ya and found another dentist who did accept my insurance and had the implant crown done for $1200. And the new dentist said I did not need the other 2 crowns. Sent 2 emails to their customer service and got nothing back. Avoid Advanced Dental. read more

I usually don't complain but enough is enough. I had a root canal in Dec,2022 had to return 4 times to have the temporary replaced before the permanent one came in. In less then a year it broke, when I had it checked I was told it had to be replaced as well as the one next to it along with some other work. Well dumb me said okay. was told I wouldn't be charged for the one because it had been less then a year. Well now the really fun part (NOT) I have now been back five times.Yesterday being the fifth time. Today I was at lunch with my son so was not paying attention. When I finished I realized I had swallowed the cap. This is beyond my patients I am 81 years old and have other health issues. Needless to say I'm upset big time. Still don't have the permanent caps and they said they had to have my partial to make sure every thing fit. This was on Jan 12 2023. Still no permanent caps or my partials and now no temporary cap either and $1428.00 dollars poorer. Please if you value your money don't go here. I don't like people who are always talking about suing ,but I think I'm there. read more

Not a happy camper, have spent THOUSANDS of dollars at this office for dental work, have waited entirely too long for 2 crowns and a new partial. AS IN OVER 5 MONTHS!! Excuses, excuses, excuses and cancellations cancellations and blame the lab over and over and over. If the darn lab is that bad, why are they still using it?? The staff is very pleasant, but there is something direly wrong w/how patients are treated here and w/the quality of "lab" work. UPDATE: After my initial review, we realized that we were sent home with someone else's paperwork!! We we're not charged (thinking it had something to do with their way of apologizing, my fiance was told he was good to go and he didn't have a balance.) And was handed papers. Turns out they checked him out under a wrong name! And we were sent home with paperwork for a Diana B**s. Lol seems as though their HIPPA police officer was focusing her attention where it need not be focused. Wowwww! And we both received voicemails from their office saying please call because my fiance "forgot something". Simply rating them a 2 due to how extremely rude one of the hygienists was to me whilst I was walking back to my fiance's room to help him with insurance paperwork, which other workers were aware of. This hygienist said I was "wondering the halls" and that my fiance was in surgery and started quoting HIPPA (my fiance and I walked into the back together only moments earlier, but I took a quick pit stop at the b/r). Not "excuse me, do you need help with something?". Like a normal kind human being. I understand HIPPA more than most, due to my job in the legal field and did not deserve to be talked down to like an aimlessly wondering child. The dentist and another hygienist apologized for her attitude. But that was enough for me to start to consider finding my family another dentist office. After leaving, I expressed my frustration to my fiance and he mentioned how a different dental assistant acted towards him. She said if you smoke weed he need not puff too hard.. "Nudge nudge". My appt was with Dr Byar. I had a crown prep. He and the staff were very good and professional.

My husband made an appointment over a month ago as a new patient with this practice. Prior to the appointment he was contacted twice about our insurance, both times with routine questions. His appointment was today at noon. When he showed up, the person he spoke with told him that he had no appointment. He told her that he had made this appointment over a month ago and showed her the phone number that had contacted him about our insurance. She was incredibly rude and said..."I didn't talk to you"..."I didn't make that appointment"..."It's not my fault". She then confirmed that he was in fact in the system but there was no appointment. She told him that she could get him in on Thursday as if that was going to help the situation. She never apologized either...just kept telling him it was not her fault. We have been living in Florida for just over a year now and this is the first time we have had a truly bad experience. My husband will definitely NOT be making another appointment with this practice. Our advice...STAY AWAY! read more
