I was Very dissapointed with this Advanced Dental business, because they did everything they could think of, to over-charge me, although I had no work done at all. No work was done on my mouth. They never took an xray, or anything. I was charged because I canceled the appt. with them and then, I was given another charge, which I did pay both to get them out of my life. I liked the personality of the doctor, but the people who handles the business side, is just fishing for money. I would never go back for that reason. And I just got a text today,which is months later asking for more money, and I spoke to my insurance today to find that they sent in other claims. Unreal!!! read more

I have a tooth that already has a root canal. Was going to see if this tooth could be saved or needed to be pulled. Dr. Warren insisted I needed a ct scan of the tooth for $230 not covered by insurance. She came in and said maybe I can, maybe I can't, I won't know until I start working on the tooth. What the heck? I asked her why she didn't know. She said something about not seeing a crack. So if this was a complete xray, she should have been able to tell me yes or no. So then they drew up a plan for over $1,000. Why would I pay that much if I don't even know for sure the outcome. I finally called and followed up. The office person said Dr. Warren would call me back. Next day I get a message on my answering machine, I'm calling to schedule your root canal and you have an outstanding balance. No follow up call from the doctor. Complete waste of time and money. Would never recommend them. read more

I went here Friday for a root canal and let's just say Dr. Shobda Warren is extremely rough. As she was administering the numbing shots she was yanking my mouth hard and the shot that she delivered in the root of my mouth was so painful I cried. She attempted to tell me that one usually hurts but I let her know I had that shot in the past and it never felt like that. During the procedure I mentioned to her that I could feel pain in my nose and that my nose was starting to burn. She wanted me to believe it was felt in my head and not true. When her and her assistant stepped out of the room, I overheard her tell her assistant that "she feels everything". I literally walked out of the office crying I was in so much pain and she did not give me any pain meds nor any information regarding after care. I will never go back ever again. read more

Dr. Meyers is amazing, i was so nervous getting my wisdom tooth out, like shaking and almost ready to chicken out and leave and then dr. Meyers walked through the door with his goody personality and i took a deep breath and knew i was in good hands. He made me feel very comfortable . HORRIBLE!! when I went there for my consultation multiple staff members were having a verbal altercation with a patient, it was awkward and very tense. During my drive home, I received a call from the front desk, apologizing for the actions of their staff. Again very awkward. unfortunately, much of the staff, including the lady that works in the billing department are very much inapt. If given an option, I would recommend going elsewhere. read more

Absolutely awful experience. Was referred here to get my wisdom teeth out, and they were able to get me in that week. This should have been a red flag however I was eager to get the procedure over with. I was told they would not put me under and would only do laughing gas. After agreeing to laughing gas, I was then given a lecture from the dental surgeon about his personal religious beliefs and was "given time" to make my decision regarding laughing gas. Upon the start of the procedure I was ensured that I would feel nothing and that he had given me plenty of local anesthesia. That could not have been further from the truth. It was excruciating pain throughout the procedure. Then to top it all off, the surgeon was out of the door and on his way to catch a flight which he had told me about before I was even out of the chair. He made a phone call to his wife while he was working about her picking him up for the airport and then vanished immediately after he was done. Following surgery I was incredibly swollen and had severe bruising which was never mentioned to me as a possibility. I was in extreme pain for over a week and the swelling finally went down after two weeks even with following every word of his "post-op care instructions". I was told he would call to check in on me, I was told the office cared about post-op care. Again, could not have been further from the truth. The first time I received contact from them following the procedure was a month later asking for my insurance card which I had already provided to them twice before and the day of the procedure. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr.Meyers he did a great job. His personality was very entertaining for the procedure. He did a great job explaining the procedure before hand and during the procedure. He also followed up with a post op phone call, and a free post op follow up on 2-4 weeks. No complaints, I personally did no anesthesia or laughing gas, and was totally okay throughout the procedure. read more

I had an emergency root canal provided by Dr. Shobha Warren. She was very rough and heavy handed just administering the anesthetic, let along during the LONG process. She gossipped with the technician over my head, did not forewarn me of different aspects of the procedure, and left the side of my face horribly swollen for almost a month! I looked like I was hit by Mike Tyson. My worst ever experience with a dentist. I will NEVER go back and will advise against anyone going there, especially with her. read more

Horrible experience as a family. Rude comments were made and lack of empathy during appointments for years of being customers. Would not recommend if you want an enjoyable stress free experience. The staff treated my mom terrible when she went in for extreme tooth ache from a cavity they filled 5 weeks ago. Carol not only provided thorough information about my insurance coverage and my out of pocket expenses, but even loaned me her fleece sweatshirt while I was in the office...shivering mostly due to being nervous. Joanie, office manager, was helpful, knowledgeable, & efficient. Jakkara, dental assistant, was extremely knowledgeable & skilled in her role. She was thorough in explaining everything as well compassionate about tooth pain & nervousness being in the dental chair. Dr Chris Meyers is noting short of AMAZING!!! He is truly a gifted oral & maxillofacial surgeon. His honest, candid demeanor was refreshing. His keen surgical skills are top notch. Dr. Meyers removed a molar and he was great! I would return to him in a heartbeat. I had no complications, did not experience much bleeding, OTC meds for pain was all I needed and the pain wasn't all that bad. He numbed the area really well so I did not feel anything with the extraction. read more

Dr Warren is the worst dental professional I have ever encountered. While doing a root canal she left the work to talk to someone about time off in March, another time she left to do a consult with a future patient, and the 3rd time I do not know where she went. Stay Away!!!! bad service, too busy, no parking and an old cramped office. Dr's and staff are completly crappy except for DrMeir the oral surgeon and then its all downhill once again. No dedicated billing department and they coded my kids anethesia wrong and its been a billing nightmare. Thank god I didnt just pay the $1,300+ they tried to scam me with because of their temp service quality geniuses handling their front desk. Felt like I had welfare and not excellent dental insuarance. Never will go back and will tell anyone not to go. I am very disappointed in my wisdom tooth removal experience with Dr Meyers. What word(s) should be used to describe Dr. Meyers.. impatient, unprofessional, misogynistic, lacking compassion? I'll tell you my experience and you can decide for yourself.. At my consultation, Dr. Meyers seemed like a cool, chill guy with a fun sense of humor. I let him know that I have an anxiety disorder and that I am particularly scared of going to the dentist and extractions due to traumatizing experiences in the past. He explained that to save me money, and since I am a red head and at higher risk of reacting poorly to IV induction, he doesn't want to risk IV anesthesia. So we set up an appointment for basic anesthesia with a breathing mask/laughing gas, and he prescribed me diazepam to take beforehand. Now it's the day of the surgery, my appointment is at 2:30, so I take my Valium as directed and I arrive feeling anxious but accepting of what was going to happen. I wait in the waiting area for 50 minutes without a receptionist giving me any explanation. I ask if I am early or if I misunderstood the scheduling of my appointment, and the receptionist explains that Dr. M had an emergency and that I should come back in 45 minutes.. I can't drive home, because by the time I go home I'd have to turn around to come back, so I kill the 45 minutes around Mayfair and return later. By then my Valium is no longer in effect, and the staff members are now in a hurry to catch up on their appointments. I am put on laughing gas and try to do some deep breathing, but start to get anxious and emotional. Dr Meyers comes in and sees that I am quite nervous. He bursts out at me saying "what are we doing here? Are we going to do the surgery today or not? Because I've never started a set of wisdom teeth that I couldn't finish, so you're going to have to WOMAN UP AND DEAL WITH IT OR COME BACK ANOTHER DAY". Now that I am completely belittled in front of his assistant and yelled at as if I am less than human, I quietly agree that I can try to calm down and continue with surgery as planned. Any trust that I had in this guy is out the window at this point. During the procedure, I heard him tell his assistant "I feel so bad for girls sometimes because they just have to cry about stuff, and that's so exhausting!" Are you kidding me? Am I in the twilight zone?? I just keep thinking to myself "just get through the surgery so you can cry in the parking lot.. don't cry now". What a terrible experience. He finishes extractions, and says "we're friends now right? You won't go bashing me on social media will you?". He knew he was out of line. I left the office and lost control, the last time I felt like that was in middle school when I was bullied... If this is how he treats every paying client, it won't be long before his license is revoked or he is fired. I have never been so dehumanized by a medical professional in my life. As someone who works in the medical field myself, I would never lash out on a patient the way Dr. Meyers did with me. Did he think I would have fun at this appointment? Has he never dealt with someone with anxiety before, and if so does he feel the need to set them straight too? I thought I could trust him, but instead his anger was taken out on me all because he was feeling the pressure of being behind schedule. read more

Had to get a referral and then had to wait two months for my appointment. Get a call two days before my appointment that it was being cancelled. Carol gave me the line that they were short staffed and you know how it is with Covid. They didn't care that I was in tremendous pain only made worst by waiting for two months. I called another dentist who saw me in two hours and provided excellent service and treatment. I only gave one star but if I could have gone negative I would have given Advanced Dental Specialists Mayfair negative five stars! read more

If you're looking for an oral surgeon look no further, Dr. Meyers and his staff are the absolute BEST!!! After being in much pain with my wisdom teeth, Carol was so helpful in getting me in for an emergency extraction. His assistant was so sweet and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Dr. Meyers was very gentle and communicated with me throughout the entire extraction and yanked those bad boys out fast with no pain. He's very skilled at what he does and he always made sure I was relaxed and comfortable. I've never laughed so much at a dentist appointment. His personality and sense of humor was so refreshing that I didn't even realize he was done with my extraction. He even gave me a follow up call to make sure I was doing ok, which I really appreciated. Dr. Meyers and his staff definitely treated me like I was part of their family. Having had a bad experience with a tooth extraction years ago, I was very anxious about having to make an appointment for the extraction of an upper back tooth. For the last ten years I have slowly been conquering my fear of dentists. Something I made very clear when I went there for a Root Canal with Dr. Siobhan Warren. I asked for Nitrous, and had already arranged to pay for it. But she was in a hurry and didn't want to use it. About half way through the procedure I just about jumped out of the chair in pain. She decided to numb me up more. She started to do that, but I could feel the Novocane hit the top of my sinuses and start running down the back of my throat, into my stomach. I tried to tell her but she said "That's not possible." and kept going. They both apparently thought it was just the blood & medication (as if I cannot tell the difference) from the injection site, the assistant just put the vacuum deal farther back, while I was still having this stuff going down the back of my throat. I was in so much pain from that moment, which lasted for two days (Because they didn't even offer pain Rx), and she was extremely annoyed that I don't remember all of the antibiotics I had previously used. Now I cannot even pick up the phone to call my regular dentist. I had been to this office before, seeing someone else & it was fine. But this destroyed 10 years of trying to overcome this fear, because she wanted to leave for the day. Listening to me and an extra 20 minutes would have made world of difference. read more

I went to see Dr. Meyers for 2 extractions with bone grafts. His staff was very nice throughout the entire process. I have extreme anxiety about going to the dentist. His assistant Jonie was sweet as pie and Dr. Meyers had me laughing the entire time with the way he spoke. He was professional and explained everything that was going to happen before it happened so that I was aware of the process. My prior experience was with Dr. Meyers 7 years ago when he removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth. From what I remember he and his staff took great care of me. Okay, so I had to get my wisdom teeth out here because it was the place I got a referral to. I made the appointment, and they got me in super quick, like in two weeks. I made the decision ahead of time to get put under. I have bad anxiety and heard the sounds were awful. The dentist comes in and tells me he doesn't want me doing that. In fact he kept referring to a story of a 17 year old boy out east that died from being put under. He kept telling me he wanted to wake up. This was not helping my anxiety. I was bullied into staying awake for my extraction. I was actually happy it happened though. It saved me money and really wasn't THAT bad. Though it was loud, and did hurt a bit at times. Their billing was closed for the day, so I couldn't pay, but get this, I was supposed to have an upfront down payment. They never asked. Two weeks later I went in for my free follow up, which was literally just swirling some mouthwash, and was on my way out when I thought to ask billing what was up with my bill. They were confused as they looked at my file until I said they hadn't charged me. So I paid finally and left. read more

This place is clearly too busy to give their patients proper and courteous service. Called to make consultation appointment in April, gave them my insurance info at that time. They weren't able to get me in until July, which was fine. The day of the consultation appointment, they failed to call me to let me know they were running TWO HOURS behind. Then, one day before my scheduled extractions they called to confirm my appointment--the person who called me had the appointment time wrong. Then, she told me that they were out of network for my insurance!!!! Why didn't they tell me this four months ago when I initially called them and gave them my insurance information? Very frustrating and inconsiderate considering I had to wait four months to get the extraction appointment and had I take off of work for said appointment. Go elsewhere! Let me start out by saying Dr. Meyers is skilled, professional and does a great job caring for kids. Sadly, the billing process at Advance Dental Specialists is a HOT MESS. They do not properly code their work so it continuously gets rejected by the insurance companies. When you contact them about they agree to fix it but never do. I had a follow up dental appointment with Christopher J. Meyers, DDS on June 28th at 12:10pm. I had previously been there a month ago to have some extractions done and he asked that I make a follow up appointment a month later. That's all he wanted to do was make sure my mouth had healed well. I am no dentist but I believed that this would be a very quick appointment (he was only checking the healing of my mouth). I arrive around 12:08pm and checked in. At this time the lobby was quite empty. At approximately 12:20pm a gentleman walked in and I overheard him say that he had a 12:30pm appointment with Dr. Meyers. Around 12:45pm another gentleman walked in with an appointment with Dr. Meyers. Note: the gentleman that had a 12:30pm appointment inquired about his appointment again at 12:45pm the receptionist told him that Dr. Meyer was running a little behind schedule. Now there are 3 people in the lobby waiting for the same dentist. In my opinion - the receptionist knowing that Dr. Meyers has 3 patients waiting on him; they should have advised each of us (his patients) that Dr. Meyer was running behind schedule. At 12:50pm, I returned back to the reception desk to stating that I had a 12:10pm appointment and wondered how much longer before I would see the dentist. The receptionist told me she would go and find out. She came back right away and called me back and she walked me to the room. I sat in this room until 1:20pm and still had not seen the dentist. I'm beyond upset at this point but still thinking - I've waited this long (he's got to be coming in here soon) so I may as well wait a little longer. I'm no longer sitting in the dental chair I'm walking around the room (debating if I should just leave). I would have thought that since the dentist had not come in to the room that his assistant (or someone that works there) would have come in and updated me on my wait. At 1:25pm his assistant walks in the room (I'm not sure if she read my face or if she really knew how long I was waiting) and (if I'm not mistaken) she said that she knows it's been a long wait and that my appointment shouldn't take that long and the dentist should be in shortly. As calmly as I could be I stated how long is shortly (it's 1:30pm now), how much longer do I have to wait, should I be rescheduling? She said let me check with him, she left out of the room. I waited for an additional 5 minutes and then I walked out of the room. His assistant was standing by the next room and she said to me again how sorry she was and that maybe I should reschedule. Really, maybe I should reschedule? My appointment was at 12:10pm and it is now 1:40pm and I still have yet to see the dentist and maybe I should reschedule! I walked back to the front desk and the assistant followed me. The same person that took me back was still at the desk and she also apologized and started looking for a reschedule date. I told her I did not want to reschedule, that I did not want to come back there (at least not to see Dr. Meyers) and I left out. This was my 4th visit to this dental office and with every appointment I had to wait too long to be seen. With every appointment I had to wait much longer than 15 minutes to be called back. With the 1st appointment - when I was finally called back - I sat back there for at least 20 minutes before seeing the dentist. The dentist came back a few times and stated that she did not know how to access my files do to a new computer system. She was waiting for her assistant to help her. The assistant finally came to my room and apologized because she was helping out more than one dentist. The 2nd appointment I waited at least 15 minutes before Dr. Meyers came in and talked to be about the extractions (and to be honest - he didn't even look in my mouth). The 3rd visit my appointment was at 5pm (I had the laughing gas) and they did not put that on me until around 5:45pm. I didn't leave the dentist until after 7pm. What I will say is that Dr. Meyers is good. He did a great job and was very nice. But getting to see him to find out how good he is - is the problem. By the time the patient sees him - (if they see him) they are upset. This office tells you if you miss an appointment you will be charged for the missed appointment - so what happens when you make your appointment but they don't see you? I'm certain you are not charged for the appointment but what about the patient's time being wasted on an appointment that never happened? read more

Patients are not meant to feel like when they call in to pay a bill that they are interrupting or bothering the representative answering the phone. The representative that answered my call at the mayfair at location I believe her name was Carol spoke so fast that I had no idea if I had the right number. She could not process my payment and could not help me in any convenient manner to take my payment. She was extremely rude to me and made me feel like she had absolutely no time for me. I called on Monday to another location and they finally answered the phone and processed my payment. However the representative that took that payment was very cold very Blunt and not warm and welcoming whatsoever. In response to me asking how she was today she proceeded to let me know how short handed the office was and that's why the ring the phone was ringing off the hook. That to me as a patient is none of my business and so definitely not be the subject of our conversation especially when I cordially ask her how she is today. These are the employees that make the company turn, this is the front line. Doctor Sharma was absolutely wonderful and I love him and his assistant. But the front office has definitely put bad of enough taste in my mouth to go elsewhere for my care. read more

I would never recommend the endodontist here to anyone. I had a root canal done last week. The dentist was very impersonal, and the assistant didn't seem to know what was going on the entire time. The dentist yelled at the assistant multiple times for: "giving her the expensive needle when she could use the cheaper one" or "I NEED SUCTION!". It was extremely unprofessional and made my anxiety about this treatment much higher than it already was. After the procedure, the dentist left without saying a word to me. She came back and informed me I would have to make an appointment with someone there to get my wisdom teeth pulled and I'd have to be back in 6 months to visit with her for the root canal. I will never visit this place again. I recommend anyone to shop around and look at reviews for other places before considering this one. read more
