I further explained that I've got immunocompromised family members, some of whom have recently had surgeries, and that they actually seemed *offended* that I dare ask that they exercise caution. In a medical setting. In cramped quarters. Where they are extremely close. It was explained "We don't even have masks in this office." Pardon ???? The doctor, also maskless, quickly disregarded my concerns and audible discomfort explained how "masks are optional here". Clearly, I surmised as much. From there she became very combative, and I advocated for myself, while trying to comply with her directions, despite being treated like a dog. Additionally, I had an appointment for 915am, and another patient, who had an appointment at 930am was taken back before, me as well as other patients that came in after me, whose appointments were scheduled later. I wouldn't be surprised if that was due to the receptionist. After making me get up and down several times for my cards, and paperwork, after I advised that I had artificial hips and I was having difficulty, another woman, who could barely speak English came out, and told me they would not be treating me, and didn't give me a reason why. After the way I was treated by the receptionist, I was already contemplating leaving because this was not the way to start new treatment with a new doctor. So, instead of arguing, I just left. They clearly cater to the elective patients in Winter Park, and don't really care about the medically needy patients, or the hypocritic oath that the providers take when they get their license. Judging by the prior review, I'm not the only one to have this kind of experience, and I'm sure the positive reviews are the staff trying to CYA. They lost it the first time. To remind you of an upcoming appointment, they call twice to confirm. I prefer working directly with Dr. Moskowitz, due to better communication & better results with him in the past. He's fantastic. I trust his medical skills. I felt misled and extremely frustrated. I spent a lot of money based on their recommendations and saw no real results. My ophthalmologist confirmed it and recommended a plastic surgeon to help make a correction. It has affected my sleep, my confidence, I've had to put goop in my eye for the last 15 months to try and keep my eye moist. I've been back 10 times trying to get her to correct it and each time she gaslights me telling me to give it more time, and dry eyes is normal for my age (60). And that no one can tell, etc. but my eyes don't match. She did give me some Botox to try and help the situation. She is a dishonest person and there is constant turnover in staff.
