Called Eddy in desperation after our circuit blew and the fridge wasn't working. At 8pm, Eddy rushed over in less than 20 mins and handled the issue before any of our food thawed. This issue had to do with our older home and it's aluminum wiring. Eddy found the issue, which happened to be a sparking wire inside our outlet and fixed the entire problem in about 20 mins. He replaced some wiring with copper and even threw some new hardware on there. I was quoted 250$ from another electrician over the phone and Eddy did it for less than 1/3 the price. Called Eddy at midnight in a panic. The wired smoke detector was going off and nothing I did would solve the problem (alarm located just outside the kids' bedrooms where they were sleeping). I removed the battery -- it still beeped. I pulled the unit from the ceiling -- still beeped. I threw the freaking thing in the garage... beeping was coming from the ceiling. (WHY do smoke detectors only indicate low battery in the middle of the night!!!). Eddy was willing to jump out of bed a couple towns away to help me, but we first did some trouble shooting. Turns out, the flooring people that are working on our house this week unplugged the CO2 detector (apparently it beeps after a few hours of being unplugged) and left it in a place that gave the impression the sound was coming from the smoke detector -- tall ceilings, above a winding stairwell with acoustics any musician would love or hate. (okay, it was midnight, so I wasn't completely awake). What I really appreciate about Eddy is the empathy he expressed as he called me back 20 minutes later to be sure everything was okay. I am so thrilled to find a prompt, fair, knowledgeable, professional electrician - who is incredibly nice as well. It can be a challenge to find good service providers so when our neighbor (who is a contractor himself) recommended Eddie and Advanced Electrical Services I was hoping for the best but prepared to be disappointed. I wasn't. In fact, he exceeded my expectations. Eddie came out the same day we called him - on a Saturday no less, diagnosed the problem within just a few minutes (AC kept tripping the circuit breaker) and fixed our faulty circuit breaker in less than a half hour for a very fair price. I typically do not write reviews but in this case I am compelled to do so. I have now used AES twice. The first time, I had an issue with a pool light timer that several other electricians could not figure out. Eddy from AES was able to diagnose the problem and fix it within 15 minutes. The second time, power went out in 1/2 of my home. Again I called AES with Eddy arriving within 1 hour, carefully evaluating and diagnosing the electrical issue. He was able to fix the problem during the same visit and with a VERY competitive price. I HAVE FOUND MY NEW ELECTRICIAN FOR SMALL AND LARGE JOBS. read more

It is unfortunate that I need to post this update but the customer informed me that one of the new outlets that Eddie installed is not working. I contacted Eddie to let him know the outlet is not working and he replied via text, "It's impossible Check your Breakers. I replied back to let Eddie know it was not a breaker issue and I informed Eddie that the customer expects the issue to be fixed. Eddie never responded nor did he attempt to contact me to setup a time to resolve the issue. As a result, I had to contact another electrician today. The new electrician tested the outlet that Eddie installed and the new electrician stated that the outlet was NOT working. The new electrician informed me that the neutral line was loose and not connected. The new electrician connected the neutral line and now that plug is working properly. What is mind boggling is that when Eddie said he was finished and the work was complete, he told me that he tested the outlets and he said everything was working. Not only is there a lack of professionalism but there appears to be a competency issue as well. read more
