The professionalism started right from the first visit - Manuel came to our home, and rather than pushing expensive ideas and knowledge on us, he kindly informed us of all options, at times even suggesting ways to save money. We have a toddler at time, and had trouble with other sales folks keeping the appointments short and to the point - Manuel was very understanding and helpful. When comparing the quotes, they were the best balance of cost, quality and commitment according to references I checked, and we decided to move forward with them. Throughout the installation, Eddy, Luis and their whole team was very professional. They worked quite fast - we had quotes for 2-3 weeks for project, Power finished it it 5 days, not by cutting corners but by having more people - at times there was a dozen workers there. They cleaned up the surroundings everyday for 45 minutes at end of each day - and when we found a small nail in garden bed, went hunting for them till they got the last one. During the whole project, if I found a small change I wanted, any small imperfection I asked to fix, they got it done. They even corrected small tilts in the building (most houses in new england are not perfect) so it is not noticeable at all. They even painted my door (did not expect, was not on the state of work), and cleaned for hours in the end to make sure no debris is left. I consider myself a little particular about these projects - I found some small imperfections that were only visual in nature months after the project, and asked if they can do something easily. Eddy brought a small crew, and basically redid the whole area to fix it to perfection. I also benefited from their in-house electrician (Mario) who I hired to reroute wiring and get some exterior lightnings and cameras - he was very responsive, reasonable and worked well with the siding crew. Lastly, Danielle in the office is very helpful with scheduling, payments and other support as needed. Siding is a big project. There are going to be some mishaps - any contractor that guarantees that nothing will happen, is lying and will shake off responsibility of fixing things if something happens. Since the beginning, power construction team was clear that they will get the job done, and if something is bothering us, they will fix it. When I noticed that the ladders scratched a couple of boards on the deck, they got a decking crew to replace them with new boards. To me, that is the contractor I want - who will stand behind their work, take responsibility and deliver what they promised with quality and speed. In the end, I believe Power Construction is an excellent contractor for complicated projects and excelled in getting a new siding in our home. We get compliments from all our neighbors, and multiple people have asked for company's info - because one can just look at work and see the effort they put in. Can't recommend them more.

I have been building super insulated homes since the mid-70s. 10 inch offset stud walls with 18+" Fiberglas insulation in ceilings with six mill poly vapor barrier all seems taped. Fiberglass cannot compete with foam in the slightest. We were one of the first builders to use rigid foam insulation below ground. They came out and did a stellar job on my own home and greatly reduced my heating bills. I replaced the aging insulation in my attic that was 18 inches thick with an envelope-based foam system in the rafters. They did a really nice job thermally bridging all of the rafters. This greatly increased the amount of usable space and will have a large impact on our AC bill and the longevity of our roof as well. They were very careful with everything. They made sure all the foam had a great contact to sill plates and other very critical areas for air leakage. They did a great job on all the hard and tight areas. Extremely professional and courteous, all overspray areas were carefully sealed and taped off. The crawlspace into a cathedral ceiling was extremely tight. They did a fantastic job getting up there and sealing it extremely well. My HVAC guy said he had never seen a home foamed so well. I could feel the difference in the home immediately. Highly recommended. I would honestly not use anyone else. Especially because any questionable area has always been carefully taken care of without any problems. Prepared the area thoroughly and left the area clean. We had a small problem with the cable for our TV getting buried in the wall. I called Sol and he told us what we should do. Then he came back and repaired the area that we had to hunt around in. He also touched up areas around the windows as well. We would use them again. Considering it right now for the second half of the project...our attic.

Trying to get a contractor to come for a small job is extremely difficult, including the company from Waltham who sided my house that stood me up three times and then stopped answering my calls. When I was referred to JT Haffey, they called me right away, came when they said they would, explained everything in detail, took pictures, and treated me with kindness and respect. Couldn't be happier really…read more I had a handful of previous estimates but never pulled the trigger to get the work done because I didn't trust the companies that came out. They would arrive late, skip appointments or take two weeks to send the estimate. If I can't trust them to write out an estimate, how can I trust them with the actual project. When I called Westwood Masonry, I was immediately confirmed with an appointment. Roy, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. He gave me the estimate immediately after measuring and scoping out the project and discussing my needs. We agreed upon a start date and he told me the project would take roughly three weeks. Roy and his crew arrived a day early (of course after he asked if this was OK). I love it when contractors start their projects as scheduled and don't "ghost". He communicated continuously throughout the job and his entire crew could not have been more professional and with exemplary workmanship. You could tell they all took pride in their work and were true craftsmen. Roy finished in two weeks and a couple of days... finishing the project QUICKER than what he told me. I can't recall the last time this has happened with a contractor. Another thing I like is that Westwood Masonry did not require a hefty deposit to start the work. Frankly, they didn't require any deposit. I often feel that contractors grab a deposit and then you don't see them for several weeks. This job started and they worked every day until it was complete. The finished patio, staircases, walls and firepit came out EXACTLY as envisioned and it all looks fantastic. He did a couple of additional touches as an added bonus. I can tell this patio is going to last for a generation. The quality of work was outstanding.
