The amazing thing was the way Steven handled my inability to get a truck to pick up a large item I had purchased. He said no problem and returned my money. Very professional and ethical guy. They held a sale at my house for 2 days and then had someone take away everything that did not sell. I have been a seller for a long time, so I am constantly going to yard and estate sales. These 2 guys have estate sales outside of their home numerous times. I have never been bullied or made to cry anywhere and these two were horrible. There was a woman in the backyard and she told a woman ahead of me books were two dollars, then I asked her and she said two dollars. I spent 30 minutes picking out books and postcards, then went to pay and was told no. The man said no and implied that I was lying, he then called the head bully, so I waited to see what price he had. Not only did the first guy take away half my stuff but the others guy literally physically took the books and said I couldn't buy them. I was so shocked and mad, then he told me 40. On 5 books, I was crying and just paid and left. Everything I picked out was on the tables in the backyard, they said I couldn't buy what I picked out because it shouldn't have been there. Shows they are dishonest, unprofessional, on a power trip and hate women. They did not give any men any problem. They had no reason to treat me like a criminal and make me cry, I've been so upset for 2 days. The books in bad condition and we're not worth what they charged me, I don't know why I paid them, I was in complete shock. I would never treat a customer like this even the meanest. I have gone to many estate sales, and this is the first time I felt the need to publish my opinion due to such an unsatisfactory customer service. My daughter selected many pieces of fabric so she could make some customes for her pets and herself. Unfortunately, when attempting to pay with a credit card, we learned that payment had to be in cash. It would have been very helpful to see signs about this issue at the entrance door and other locations, not just by the checkout section. The total was $22 and when asked if they would take $20, the reply was in such a tone that anyone could think I was just offering $2. I would have preferred not to return, but my daughter was already exited about the customes she was going to make, so I explained I would have to return with the cash in a few minutes. When returned, it was approximately 4 minutes past 3:00 (closing time) and the door was closed, but I told them I was returning, so I rang the bell. Once again I had the same feeling of such a bad customer service when I was told they were already closed but they were (being nice) by opening the door for me. Due to the tone, it seemed as I really have to be very thankful for such a kindness. If the objects being purchased were just for me, I could have just left immediately so they could keep their ridiculous pieces of fabric. Unfortunately, my daughter was already exited with the idea of getting these fabric pieces. I love estate sales, but this was the first and last time I'll be going to one from this company. People who write negative reviews often express their frustration about their inability to give the object of their disappointment fewer than one star. Well, when it comes to my experience with Richard of Advanced Estate Sale Services, I sincerely wish I could give him more than five. Make that more than 10. A lot more than 10. Think of a quality you would appreciate in an individual with whom you do business, and Richard has them all plus a few extra ones he has invented for himself. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable, experienced, patient, responsive, and informative. To suggest that he treats his customers fairly is to speak in gross understatement. And, on top of all that, he is cheerful, friendly, and, in all respects, a pleasure to work with, the kind of guy you would look forward to going to a ballgame or having a beer with. There are essentially two types of people in this world: Those who do their best to make your life easier and those who don't. And then there's Richard who goes FAR out of his way to provide uniquely spectacular service, a trait that is all too rare in this age of telephone prompts and minimum wage employees who are too busy staring at their clocks to pay attention to you. I could write many more paragraphs about Richard without running out of superlatives. Suffice it to say that, as the majority of my other reviews demonstrate, I am not ordinarily effusive with compliments. read more

When your mom is deceased and your dad is suffering from Alzheimer's, liquidating their home and belongings is an overwhelming and emotional task! My goal was to clean out the house and make some cash. Steve and Richard made the process as easy as possible. They cleaned out a 2,800 square foot home full of stuff. I know some in this business have had bad experiences with families removing items prior to the actual sale after the company has done a lot of work. Therefore some companies are strict with a policy of not letting the family remove any stuff prior to the sale. I appreciated that Steve and Richard were flexible as long as we were reasonable. After all, they did find sentimental items buried in cabinets that I hadn't seen for years! The items were merchandised well. They brought in their own tables to set up. I think the pricing was reasonable, but I must say I didn't have a lot of antiques/collectibles. They have a guy haul away the unsold items so the house is empty and ready for new owners. This guy forgot a few things (mistakes happen) but the company came back the same day I called to remove them. I got my money promptly, within a week of the sale. Steve and Richard followed through on their promises. What more could you ask? read more
