They led me on for 21 months including just a few days ago when they stated the tops were being loaded onto containers at the end of this month when they knew that was not happening. BEWARE! In February 2022 (2.5 years ago), this company charged me the full amount of almost $7k for a Bronco hard top and indicated they would ship it in 12-16 weeks. This never happened. I followed up with them and then they began to make excuses and give consistent delays. In July 2023, They even told me and that they already had the hard tops and were just doing some finishing touches to improve the quality. Unfortunately, I've come to find out this was lie. As many others who fell victim to this scheme, I have learned the hard tops NEVER existed, they do not have them, and yet they knowingly led me on to think it was it still coming. And during this entire time, they have continued to advertise the Bronco hard top on their website while accepting new orders. Last week, I received an "blanket apology" from the company summarizing that they would not be fulfilling my order nor would they be providing any refund. Nearly $1,000 of the cost was for shipping & they won't even refund that. Then they conveniently removed the Bronco hard top Listing from their website. I wonder how many more people they've managed to reel in over the past several years and collected full payment from only for it to all be a lie.. I've just recently started shopping again for a hard top for my 2021 Ford Bronco and I came across the latest complaints against Advanced Fiberglass Concepts and wanted to share my experience as well. Simply put... ordering and communicating with Advanced Fiberglass Concepts and its owner, John, was a nightmare. Unfortunately, I too fell victim to their deceitful business practices. For nearly a year, I was strung along with false promises of delivery, misleading updates, and fake progress reports/timelines. They even sent videos of supposed "hard tops in production," "field tests," and delivery timelines--none of which ever materialized into actual products. It has become clear that Advanced Fiberglass Concepts knowingly and willingly misleads its customers. Please read the reviews, numerous people have been swindled out of their money with no intention from this company to deliver the product nor issue a refund. Thankfully I realized (convinced myself) this company was acting fraudulently in March of 2024, and was able to get my money back. Seeing so many others negatively affected by this company is completely unacceptable. If you've been scammed by John and Advanced Fiberglass Concepts, I urge you to take action: Report them to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to ensure they are held accountable. Contact local law enforcement in their area of operation to report fraudulent activities. Do not fall for their deceitful tactics. Now they will not refund the money that they required when we ordered the hard top. We ordered a hard top 12 months ago, and now John is blaming a subcontractor for being unable to deliver the Bronco Hard Top. I have the same story. Prepaid for a Bronco hardtop, $7084. This month I received an email and a video update that Advanced Fiberglass had a business deal that went bad. As a result, they cannot deliver the product ordered, and they aren't refunding any amounts paid. I really don't care why this happened, they should make their customers whole or they should be out of business with possible jail time. If they are going to sell other products, all those proceeds should go to making hardtop victims whole. Has anyone taken any legal steps yet? Fortunately ADV and APG are both in Orange County; I will be contacting the Orange County DA, and looking at media investigation on what happened here. read more

They took our money for a product that wasn't ready and they made decisions to give that to someone else and are now passing their poor judgement and business decisions onto us. Absolute scammers - do not spend a penny with them! Jon (or someone working for him) will post the canned response that they are just as disappointed as their customers are, that we're like family, yada yada. It's all a lie. They KNEW that the hard tops weren't getting built, but kept lying to their existing preorder customers with things like "I'm following your order very closely, it's almost done - we're just waiting on the rubber trim!" which is an absolute LIE because there NEVER WERE ANY HARDTOPS! They kept everyone's money and even continued pre-orders for unsuspecting victims well after they knew that APG had "stolen" their design. Please do not order from this company. We ordered a hardtop for our Bronco in October of 2023. We paid in full and we received emails saying the hardtop was in production. We waited months for updates - expecting the hardtop to be shipped in March, as we were told via email. Finally in June we inquired and we were sent another email saying "it was getting ready to be shipped." I have ALL of this communication, and happy to share it. In July we decided to cancel the order and asked for a full refund. We were told via email that our money would be refunded - that was on July 31st. Two days later we received an email that we would NOT be refunded and they were "Sorry". This is a clear case of fraud. We were lied to repeatedly via emails - and no one has bothered to call us directly to apologize or offer some sort of good faith and good business solution.
