This review will be for both the body shop in Orange, and their performance shop in Irvine. I was rear ended and was recommended by my BMW and Porsche friends to come and use them. Insurance was covering, so price really wasn't an issue dor me. They aren't cheap, but they do amazing work. Turn around time was laid out in front of me, and they met the goal. It was a LONG process (read 1.5 months); if I didn't have a provided rental it may have affected my rating, but I did have one. Everything with the insurance process, getting me to/from the rental location, communication with me and the adjustor, and workmanship were all top notch. Ran into some issues on first attempt at a pick up, but they rectified it with fixing the issue, as well as transportation and delivery to the Irvine location. I then had wheels installed at the performance shop in Irvine. Again, it wasn't cheap, but they met all expectations. I can see why this place has such good ratings! In search of an automotive shop to install some aftermarket parts on my girlfriend's car, I came across this place. It's conveniently super closer to where I live and the rating made me choose this place. I inquired on pricing on installing an exhaust piece and an oil change through Yelp and the business replied very quickly. Not long after I received my quote for the service and was pleased with the pricing. I made the appointment and I happened to drop it off a day prior since I ended up having free time. Later in the evening I received a text notification that the car was ready! I was surprised at how fast everything was completed. An awesome thing about the shop is they even have after hours pickup. There's a lock box outside where your keys will be kept in and you'll receive a combination for the specified box. The inside of the building is super clean and the waiting area is spacious, with couches and a bar style sitting area. Service was excellent. This was a few years ago and it still is amazing. More recently, I had the pleasure dealing with Mark. I reached out to him to install a downpipe and he was very professional and got back to me quickly with the quote. It was more than fair and it took them about a day to do it after making an appointment. They also reached out to me regarding other things they noticed on my car which is good information. If you have been here, they work on some pretty cool cars and specialized in a few different brand such as BMW which is why I chose to come here. SSR Performance is hands down the best performance shop I have been to. I have taken my BMW M340i to them twice and will continue to do so, as well as take all my future cars there. Mark, Rod & the SSR team give an experience that is unlike any other. They give consistent updates about your car, a great breakdown of everything, extremely fair pricing, and most importantly the quality of work is unmatched. I originally took my car in to have a Valvetronic Designs exhaust installed and the job was done absolutely perfectly & quickly. I live about an hour and a half away and was going to have difficulty getting my stock exhaust back home. Mark & Rod went above and beyond to source delivery of my exhaust to my house. The second time around, I had some performance mods, side skirts & paddle shifters installed and they did an absolutely terrific job. While my car was there the second time, I also asked them to check out my carbon fiber rear diffuser as a local shop in my town originally installed it and they did not do a proper job. The shop local to me blamed it on the fitment of the diffuser itself. When I told Mark this, he said they should have taken the bumper off to have it installed properly. Best full service auto shop in SoCal. Brought my brand new 2022 Tesla Model 3 Performance here. For the first job, installed Mountain Pass Performance coilovers, camber arms, and camber toes with a wheel alignment. They did a great job by dropping it to my desired height, adjusting the comfort/stiffness to my liking, and perfecting the dampening. They were quick and updated me on every step of the process. Came back a few days later to install my carbon fiber diffuser, diffuser, and side skirts. Very quick and professional. They even added extra 3M on the side skirts to ensure it was mounted properly. They also used their own hardware to do the install. Next, having my new rims shipped to them and they are able to get to tires I wanted for me. Overall - great shop. They have everything you need. Oh, and when you go there expect to see a Lambo, McLaren, or another beast. Yet they still treat your car as if it's on the spotlight. 10/10 recommend. read more
