One star is being generous. I chose this place based on location and insurance coverage -- seemed like a safe, practical choice. It was neither. The front desk ignored me when I walked in, though one was training the other, so I let it slide. What I couldn't let slide was what came next. I went in knowing I needed X-rays. The doctor confirmed as much -- then casually mentioned their machine was down. That's information that should have been shared before I drove over, checked in, and paid a visit fee for a problem that went completely unaddressed. I was also steered toward shoe inserts that a second doctor later told me I didn't need. When I noticed they were branded with the office's own name, the picture got a lot clearer. Now for the billing, which is where this really goes off the rails. I was told my out-of-pocket would be $50, paid it right then, and figured we were square. Two months later, a $115 bill shows up in the mail. I also found out they billed my insurance $700 for a 15-minute visit where nothing was actually done. Seven hundred dollars. For a broken X-ray machine and an upsell. It's hard not to wonder whether that machine was actually down or whether it's just a convenient way to get patients back through the door for another billable visit. I don't go to doctors often; but this place is great. Dr. Sgro is great; bedside manner is great; not pushy with just giving meds; really took the time to listen and diagnose my foot issue. Gave me options with my healing; I don't necessarily like to take meds unless completely necessary. She respected that and gave me a treatment plan. I've been doing great so far. Staff is friendly; and if you're not a fan of masks; they let you choose to wear one or not. Always a plus for me. read more

Due to a busy schedule I had to wait months to have the time to see a foot doctor. I did hours of research and decided on Dr. Lloyd. I made my appt 6 weeks in advance, they contacted me 4 times by phone, text and email to confirm my appt. Never bothered to mention Dr. Lloyd was no longer there. Took my money before going to the exam room where it was then they mention I'm seeing someone else. I find businesses with no regard to someone's schedule unprofessional and disrespectful. Advanced Food and Ankle uses unethical business practices. The doctor insisted that I needed foot inserts that I told him I doubted that I would use. However, his office staff said that they checked my insurance and the inserts were covered and my deductable met. The cost to me would be nominal so I thought I would try again for the small fee. However, either the office staff lied or was incompetent because my insurance did not cover the inserts and now Advanced wants me to pay the full price. I have been arguing with them about this for over 2 years but they do not care that they provided incorrect information. I am still battling them over this because I will not pay for something due to their incorrect information especially since I did not want the product in the first place. Handouts very helpful in exercises needed for my plan of care Great delivery of care and good chair side manner! Big plus, this practice houses footwear and treatment equipment ie; sole inserts, compression socks etc. Has state of he art imaging services & fast data sharing. SCAM. STAY AWAY. READ OTHER REVIEWS BEFORE GOING HERE. Ashley the head of billing, will CHARGE you for FOLLOWUP appointments, when the DR. checks his work, after your procedure. WATCH OUT. Neither her, the DR., or the front staff will inform you that they bill for follow up appointments. Her excuse is that. "medicare sets the rules", even if you don't have medicare, which I don't. In other words, the DR. WILL NOT CHECK his work, unless YOU PAY AGAIN. They will also wrongly code it, so they can charge again. She told me I can't have a followup, since I had my whole nail removed, which is a lie, I have my nail. The DR. took out an ingrown, coded it as something else, so I the patient, can be billed again for an office visit. Ashley, was rude and never apologized. Her front staff doesn't inform you that you will be charged for followup check on a procedure.. If you go here, WATCH WHAT THEY CHARGE THE INSURANCE CO. AND BEWARE OF BILLS FOR FOLLOWUP VISITS. This is the second time I needed a ingrown toenail removal procedure done on my toe and let me say going here was an amazing experience. The front staff were great and the Dr. silvers was very professional, great at calming me down as I was worried about the pain. I honestly don't get it. The x-rays they take are murky at best and it always seems to be a "let me sell you some really expensive shoes" you can get anywhere else and "here is your bill" only to get another bill later. Each time I have visited, I have asked point blank "is this the total bill and I will not have any other charges" with a response of "yes, sir. We do not like surprises like that either." I absolutely love the care my family and I receive at Advanced Foot and Ankle. We have been apart of the Advanced Foot and Ankle family for about 7 years and love both Drs. Hadfield and Silvers. I have so much confidence in these doctors and the practice that I have had two reconstructive foot surgeries (one on each foot) with Dr. Hadfield. I had a plethora of issues--windswept feet, flat feet that pronated inward, an Achilles tendon that was too short on my left leg, and a bunion and bone deformities on my right foot. Dr. Hadfield not only diagnosed my conditions, he explained everything to me in a way that I understood, not once, but multiple times since this was not a quick fix situation. I always had questions. Every appointment we'd recap and discuss my treatment, and viable options. The Drs. helped me manage the the "situation" up until I was able to have the inevitable surgery on my left foot in June 2013. A year later, in June 2014, I had surgery on the right foot. There is a night and day difference in my life now that I've had the surgeries. I am a busy mom with five kids and long story short, in the two years since the surgeries, I have done things I never thought I'd be able to do again--my "new" feet have a lot of miles on them and I have made some wonderful memories with my family. I am even running again in physical therapy utilizing the anti-gravity machine. I can't even type that without smiling a huge smile. Without Dr. Hadfield and Dr. Silvers, I would not have my life back. Even better, my children are being treated and receiving preventative care so they will not have to go through what I have had to go through. There aren't enough thank you's in the world for that kind of gift. If you are looking for a caring, compassionate doctors and practice who cares about their patients, then this is the right practice for you. read more

First visit i waited at least 1.5 hours past appointment time, I was only called back after I told them I would have to reschedule since I had another appointment across town. Dr. Lloyd was pleasant and his nurse was good. Second visit I was seen and in and out quickly. I was excited that I found a Dr that was so good. Went in for my third visit and was behind a car that was in a wreck. I was 3 minutes late, when I went to check in they had a new cancellation policy they wanted me to sign requiring 24 hours notice or they were charging a fee. It did not say except for emergencies and had no clause for any waiving of fees. I told them I was not comfortable signing this. Then a few minutes later I was called back to the front desk due to issues with my insurance. I had proof of coverage from the insurance company and they refused to see it or make a phone call to verify the information. I had to either leave or pay out of pocket for the visit and xray! Today I called and they were so rude and unhelpful I told them I am changing doctors. They are going to charge me $30.00 for my records! I still have to calm down because they have an almost $50.00 credit on my account I need to get refunded. read more

I took my son (13) here to have a procedure for an ingrown toenail infection. They were recommended by my pediatrician. I was so grateful at how kind and gentle and thorough they were with him. The doc explained everything to him and drew a diagram to make sure he understood. They took really good care of him. I was given an injection for my plantar fasciitis and bone spurs as well. They call to check up on you after your procedures even. I HIGHLY recommend the Prosper office. We are planning to go back soon to have some permanent procedures done for my sons toes. read more

This place is awesome! They helped my daughter with her stress fracture and my sons flat feet. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. Yes they are expensive (orthotics etc) but find a doctor that's not. We actually found the boot on amazon way cheaper and bought it there so it saved us some money. This office is so unorganized. I had an appointment that I called and rescheduled. I show up for the new appointment to be told the doctor is in surgery and I don't have an appointment scheduled (drove from Princeton area and wasted my time and gas). Today I get a collections call (from previous visits) because even though they called and verified my insurance they didn't collect the right amount. I told the person calling that based on my time and gas wasted (my opinion it's like a no show for the doctor), I will not be paying the balance due. I would not refer anyone to this office! This place was so disorganized and not attentive at all. I called them to set up a surgery for my daughter and practically begged them for a certain date so my daughter could be taken care of before school starts. They told me they had to get with my insurance and would call me back in 2-3 business days. I NEVER heard back from them. I should have known this would happen as I had been doing all the reaching out from the beginning. I don't know if they were just busy at this time or what the deal was as they have so many good reviews. However, if they were too busy to see my daughter, who was in pain, they should have just told me they weren't taking new patients and I would have moved on like I ended up doing anyways. The back office support staff leaves much to be desired. They consistently neglect to contact patient's when follow-up are necessity. Patient's pay money for service and medical advice. The doctor's do their part but it is very apparent the staff that is to support the doctor needs direction or at least be held accountable for follow-up. Not impressed. Scheduled an appointment for my daughter. Got a phone message from Vita (?) that my insurance required a referral from primary Dr. Not a problem. IMMEDIATELY called back to provide primary contact info. Yeah...then we have a problem. The message system for that office. Caveman. Typical "please listen to the message because menu may have changed" load of crap. So...I listened. And listened. And listened. Did not hear the name of the person that called me. So.....I listened again. Their system would NOT let you push 0 or anything. You HAD to listen to the ENTIRE freeking message. I am not joking....I spent 10 minutes listening to this BS message system. It is a three doctor practice.....so....boat load of menu options. So...I finally just opted to talk to ANYONE. Picked a name of an office Admin. But....it went straight to voice mail. Start over. Pick another. Finally.....human. She connects me to Vita's extension. Kinda. Voice mail. So. I leave all of the requested information with ZERO confidence. The appointment is in 2 hours. I will be damned. Vita calls me back. Says she is calling....again....needs the info....she has not heard from me. I tell her I returned her called and left ALL of the info on her voice mail. Then she dials down the smart ass attitude.....and says...."oh, well, sometimes the system doesnt work....and I dont get messages." No kidding. I provide the needed information......again. She calls back an hour later.....says I will need a referral from primary dr. Lol....I had already moved on to another specialist. I went to Dr. Hadfield for an ingrown toenail procedure. He is amazing! He is super personable, understanding, and did a great job on my procedure. I actually went to him from a long distance because he is the only person in the DFW metroplex who was willing to do in-office sedation. He is incredibly accommodating, in that if one of his patients asks for something, he will try his best to make that a reality. The nurses and staff are very sweet and polite. The words "thank you" just don't seem to be enough for what Dr. Loyd did for our family. Our daughter is Type 1 diabetic and developed an infection on her foot from hardware placed a few years ago due to an accident she was in. Our daughters foot started swelling with a considerable amount of pain about 8 months ago. We sent her back to the doctor that originally did the surgery and even sent her to get a second opinion from a new doctor but she was told that "she would just have to live with the pain and swelling". Dr. Lloyd was the only doctor that took the time to look into her problem, which led him to discover that she had an infection in the hardware. Dr. Lloyd cared for our daughter in a way that I have not witnessed in a long time by a doctor. The outcome for our daughter could have been very different if we had not found Dr. Lloyd! Went in with a sore foot and was diagnosed with a stress fracture. Doctor sold me a boot for $275 that was not covered with insurance. Also tried to sell me $800 worth of laser treatment and $500 orthotics. None covered by insurance. Felt like the whole experience was just trying to get more money out of me. Went elsewhere and was very pleased with another doctor. On top of that, got a bill a month later for another $30, apparently the boot was 305, but they only charged me 275 at the appointment. Sorriest excuse for professionalism I've ever seen. The receptionist told me I had the wrong appointment time and the doctor was already gone. I would be very curious to know how I heard 3:15 when she said I was told 2:10. I'm not hard of hearing. Then, they had the audacity to tell me they had called my cell phone and home phone to tell me I missed the appointment. There was no such call on EITHER phone. Seeing Dr. Hadfield for a planter's wart, took 2-3 months to treat. His bedside manner isn't the best, that's for sure. He's a very direct-and-to-the-point dr. No pleasantries at all! I finished up my last treatment, he said "wart is gone" but he had me wear duct tape over where the wart was for the next 30 days to make sure it didn't come back. My last appt was going to be on the 8th of Dec., my insurance changed on the 6th. Dr's office called me to process new insurance, and I gave them my new info. I was paying $30 each visit with last insurance, but this next visit, where he was going to simply look at it to tell me if it's 100% gone or not, was going to cost me $82.78! Now I know insurance is insurance, but are you kidding me?! You can't simply look at it after all my visits there and the money you made off me, and simply tell me, "yep, it's gone!"?! unless I pay you $82.78 after all this?! I look at it (where the wart was) and it doesn't look like it's there at all, so I'm saving my money and going to risk that it is gone, completely. For me, some things are just principle. Terrible customer service. Requested that Dr Silver MA submit an authorization request to my insurance company in Sept 2015 and she said she would and would take 7 weeks to get notification from insurance. So 7 weeks goes by and no phone call from doctors office and they tell me there is no record of it. So I called back 2 more weeks later and she told me it was denied. Flat out lie as I called the insurance company and they never received a request as it would have been approved if Doctor submitted. Then I asked her for proof of the request she sent in 9 weeks ago and nothing. She now refuses to call me back because she NEVER submitted the authorization to the insurance 3 months ago. I have been in pain and they don't care. Now 2016 will come and I will have to pay for services because deductible starts over. TERRIBLE CARE FOR PATIENTS.
