The front desk ignored me when I walked in, though one was training the other, so I let it slide. What I couldn't let slide was what came next. I went in knowing I needed X-rays. The doctor confirmed as much -- then casually mentioned their machine was down. That's information that should have been shared before I drove over, checked in, and paid a visit fee for a problem that went completely unaddressed. I was also steered toward shoe inserts that a second doctor later told me I didn't need. When I noticed they were branded with the office's own name, the picture got a lot clearer. Now for the billing, which is where this really goes off the rails. I was told my out-of-pocket would be $50, paid it right then, and figured we were square. Two months later, a $115 bill shows up in the mail. I also found out they billed my insurance $700 for a 15-minute visit where nothing was actually done. Seven hundred dollars. For a broken X-ray machine and an upsell. It's hard not to wonder whether that machine was actually down or whether it's just a convenient way to get patients back through the door for another billable visit. Either way, I won't be one of them. Find somewhere else.

They were able to check me in very fast. Everyone in the office was super nice. I liked the doctor and her assistant. I explained my situation and she was able to help. The procedure was quick and painless. My toe feels so much better now. They provided instructions for my after care treatment. But then she tells me ..hey why don't we get a simple lab test to determine if it's really a fungus before you're spend that kind of money. ok... sounds reasonable. They take the sample and I get told they'll follow-up once the lab tests come back....here's where it goes downhill. - A month passes and now one calls me. - Then the lab sends me a bill for $1300+!!! I called their office and said hey...what's with this and why haven't I been called for the lab results. So we schedule the f/u visit. - Dr Freeland says good news ..simple fungal treatment and no laser really necessary. Prescription is $150 a pop...but at least it's not laser. - show her the lab bill...she agrees that it's looks to be way too much and her staff would look into it. - two weeks go by...I call back to her staff...they claim they will talk to Dr Freeland. Still no call back. - call again and now they tell me they don't handle this and call their main office for billing. - billing says they don't handle it and there's no way they will help with the bill - billing says they will talk to Dr Freeland about perhaps relief for forgoing the Dr visit costs - weeks of calls...still nothing It seems the business could care less about the financial burden they put onto me without a single call from anybody much less Dr Freeland...just constantly stating that "we aren't responsible for what the lab charges"...and apparently they aren't responsible for recommending a very costly test that could have done in a local clinic for $50. Whatever you do...don't allow them to order tests...you will pay for their carelessness .
