When I walked in, it was 15 minutes before someone greeted me. When someone finally showed up, she said my appointment was canceled. I didn't cancel the appointment. She looked at it and said their system must have canceled it. I got no notification. She said they could see me another day which is a bit ridiculous since it was their own error. I do not recommend going here. They'll cancel your appointment inconveniencing you and then make it more inconvenient by having you come back another day read more

I seriously cannot say enough amazing things about Advanced Foot, and Dr Nelson. I found this place here on Yelp after reading reviews of other podiatrists in DFW, and my first appointment - 20 minutes in - i was seen, Xrays done, and everything. I came to Dr Nelson with issues with my big toe after smashing it a few years ago. Other ortho Dr's told me to wear orthotics, or take pills forever, but Dr Nelson said "nah it's just a bone spur, we can fix it." So a week or 2 later I had foot surgery, and it went SO great. Dr Nelson is amazing, very smart and thorough, explains things well, and really did an amazing job with my surgery. I saw Dr. Garrett Nelson at Advanced Foot and Ankle Center in McKinney, Tx He was so nice and took his time on examing my ingrown toenail. He explained what he could do to make it better. He gave me 3 options. I decided to have it removed. I could never imagine having your toenail removed was a pleasant experience. He used a freezing agent on my toe and I did not feel anything on numbing the area or feeling the removal of my toenail. He seemed confident on his skills and he did a great job. Ok for all of us that is afraid to have an ingrown toe taken care of, well I have the answer! I was too terrified or too vain to take care of my ingrown toe nail. (I've seen some botched ingrown toes) This toe had bothered me for over 10 years. I finally had had enough of my pedicurist having to do surgery every time I went in for my pedicure. So I searched and searched and found Dr. Witt right in my back yard! So happy I finally had this procedure. My toe nail looks just as it did before (only better) the procedure but no pain! Honestly you can not tell. I now have a whole closet full of shoes that I couldn't wear! I'm 2 weeks out still no pain. Recovery was easy. Can't wait for sandal season! Don't get me wrong, i love doctor lloyd. I had great assistance, and felt cared for. I had surgery with Dr. Lloyd this time last year. Here i am now about to have a mother surgery. A couple months after the surgery i had taken and MRI, recommended by Dr. LLoyd. He looked at it and told me my foot was just inflamed from surgery. It was a whole year after my surgery when i decided to go to a pediatric specialist and they told me my tendon was split and shredded. They looked at my mri and whispered to the other doctors "Oh her tendon is shredded!" and now i am having another surgery, to get a tendon repair. So since oct or we of 2021 til April of 2022, i've been walking on a torn tendon, and running, and it's gotten progressively worse. Please get a second opinion before doing surgeries guys. I got 4! They all said different things. Go to a specialist! read more

Dr. Silvers "diagnosed" me before my x-rays were even finished. He wanted to blindly give me a steroid injection before he even knew the issue. And rather than solve the problem (that he never diagnosed), he wanted to sell me $20 cream and $40 inserts. And he wasn't even the one to tell me about the shot! Terrible customer service. Requested that Dr Silver MA submit an authorization request to my insurance company in Sept 2015 and she said she would and would take 7 weeks to get notification from insurance. So 7 weeks goes by and no phone call from doctors office and they tell me there is no record of it. So I called back 2 more weeks later and she told me it was denied. Flat out lie as I called the insurance company and they never received a request as it would have been approved if Doctor submitted. Then I asked her for proof of the request she sent in 9 weeks ago and nothing. She now refuses to call me back because she NEVER submitted the authorization to the insurance 3 months ago. I have been in pain and they don't care. Now 2016 will come and I will have to pay for services because deductible starts over. TERRIBLE CARE FOR PATIENTS.
