The best doctor's ever I had gone to the hospital with my ankle dislocated and a broken fibula doctor's there said they fixed it and to make an appointment with a foot specialist I already was planning on it. When I went to Dr. Su he had me take some xrays and was shocked to see how bad it was broken. Dr. Su explained everything he was going to do to fix my problem. He was great I was not able to walk for 3 1/2 months he told me NOT to put any pressure on my foot I listened. So 8 months later I'm finely going back to work. Without a doubt the worst clinic. When the little tech with a nose ring had no clue which xrays needed to be done and we had to tell her. When a tech was to perform laser and had to ask which leg, really. Several visits with the doctor always seemed the same, well come back in two weeks, always very nonchalant attitude. We had brought test results to the doctor from a previous clinic, during the last visit, it was asked about them, he had not even looked at them. He got up went somewhere, was back in less than 3 minutes, oh they all look fine. Sorry, way to fast for us. My wife was in a boot and was in a wheelchair, at not time did they ever offer help in and out the front door, since it was an electric door. They neve offered any help for her to get from her wheelchair to the exam chair. I had a short meeting one day with the office manage, she was suppose to call the next day, that call never can. And final, what clinic nowadays does not have a patient portal. I hope others have a much better experience. read more

Dr Alex Stewart is exceptional. I have been going to him for over 10 years . He owns his own practice. He did my bunion surgery and you truly need to look real close to find the scar. His bed side manner is second to none. Dr was at foot and ankle in Ahwatuke. The office called me to remind me of an appointment I had with Dr. Stewart but told me he wasn't with their practice. But another Dr, so and so was picking up all Dr Stewart 's patients. I refused to see any one else. I asked where did Dr Stewart go? They refuse to disclose that information. So I told them I will not be going to that office and I will find Dr Stewart. I found him!!! So happy I did!!! read more

The staff is rude, they over bill you for services after they have quoted you what your costs will be, they over-charge you for prosthetic devices you probably don't even need or can buy from Amazon for a fifth of the cost. I am also very disappointed in the doctors. Dr. Su spent maybe 5 minutes with me and never took the time to consider any of my input, concerns I had or answered any of my questions. He made a quick evaluation, had the tech take X-rays and automatically recommend buying there Prosthetic boot device and orthotics for an un-godly amount of money. I spent $1,700 and still have the same issues as when I entered their office. Never going back and would never recommend them to anyone else. I have had the best experience with Advanced Foot and Ankle. I recommend Dr. Laurino to anyone who needs a podiatrist. I had a foot injury due to running. Dr. Laurino is so knowledgeable and patient. He explains everything in a way that is understandable to all of us who aren't doctors. I ask a lot of questions during each visit and he makes sure each question is answered and that I understand everything. I ended up needing surgery due to a bone that wouldn't fuse. He performed the surgery and my foot has healed nicely. He helped me create a plan for recovery that helped me return to running. You need to follow his instructions. He does take a conservative approach but I respect his knowledge. And it worked! Dr. Laurino made custom orthotics for me. They are exactly what I needed to put in my running shoes. I feel bad that I never left a review before now. If you need to see a podiatrist, he's great. read more

I was referred to Dr. Su for a broken bone in my foot. They were able to get me in a couple of days. Dr. Su took time showing and explaining the issue and also pointed out break in the X-ray. I had a few X-rays in my lifetime, very, very few of those doctors actually spent time explaining and showing the X-ray as Dr. Su did for me. He was through and discussed my job and recommended time-off so I could heal properly. The MAs filled out my leave and sent it to be processed by my company. My follow-up appointment, he spent time reviewing the X-ray with me. The office staff were WONDERFUL. Always polite and friendly making sure my needs were met. I can truly say, ANYONE, I mean ANYONE with foot problems and ankle, this is the PLACE you want to go. read more

Calling and scheduling is very difficult to do as the wait is long. I left this office very confused as Dr. Freestone recommended custom made orthodics for me but when I received them, they were anything but my size. I was very confused with my new orthodics as they are supposed to have been sized and formed to my foot but they are a good 2 inches bigger than my feet. I questioned the technician and he said that's normal and if I am crafty I can cut the soles out of my shoes and trace and cut my orthotics. Hhhmmmm this sounds crazy to me, these things are nowhere near my size and I am not going to ruin my shoes trying to figure out how to be crafty and fix the fit on "my custom made orthodics". Needles to say I will not be returning and wish I had not wasted my time at this place. read more

He did an amazing job for Son a few years ago. I went in today to have a few old issues looked at. Curtis was amazing on getting me back and taking history and x-rays, the from office staff were patient and funny, and Dr. Su was as amazing as I remembered. He was straight to the point. This office will not take me as a new patient after 6yrs, claiming the doctors refuse any patients of previous doctors from the office. This made me feel like I did something wrong, by being a past patient to their office. The office is near my home and wud have liked to continue treatment there. The front office made me feel unwanted, even made me feel like perhaps they don't want certain types of patients??? They are being selective of who they want to and not want to provide care to. Is this legal? I will be notifying my insurance about this awful treatment. Was it because of my race? Because I'm a woman? I could almost sense some other underlying excuse. 1st they said, "you will be considered a new patient due to being inactive", the following day after they check my insurance, "we are sorry, the doctor does not want to see old patients of previous doctors". Unless you enjoy the idea of highway robbery when it comes to medical care, stay away from this practice at all costs. I have had equally terrible experiences at both offices within the past year. First off, the front office staff there are extremely rude to the patients. I have actually seen one of the girls behind the desk at the Dobson location lash out at someone because of a mistake that SHE made on the billing side. Secondly, the "care" given by my podiatrist at the time, Dr. Wilde, was slipshod at best. I would arrive early to my appointments and still be waiting at least 30 minutes to be seen by him. When I did end up seeing him, he rushed through our appointments and kept pushing all of these expensive and unnecessary services for my feet. The very first office visit alone, with insurance, was $300 out of pocket...and it was only a consultation. He tried to push steroid injections for the minor pain in my feet, which would have costed $125 per foot. The orthotics that I got for my feet ended up totaling $750 altogether. These aren't some fancy ones either. They are the basic black speckled ones that you will see at any chiropractor's office for literally A TENTH OF THE PRICE. I only had two options to choose from here, so it was either that one or an equivalent of a Dr. Scholl's insert from Wal-Mart. It seems like many others have had similar experiences when it comes to this place. Hindsight is always 20/20...go to a chiropractor or do more research on your local podiatrists before you make the mistake of coming here like I did. I have definitely learned my lesson. read more

I originally came in here in January for a dislocated big toe that happened over the weekend and have been here a total of 6 times at $35 co-pay each time. Every time you show up for your appointment, expect to wait 15 plus minutes in the lobby and another 5-10 minutes to see the Doctor once you get a room. My last 3 appointments I see the Dr probably a total of 5 minutes each time. I'm satisfied with the initial care in resetting my toe, but these last few appointments have been a waste of money and time. After my sixth visit, the Dr also recommended a customized orthotic to fix the way I walk, I honestly didnt think I have a problem walking, but the custom orthotic cost $550 that was not covered by my insurance. Needless to say, I passed. P.S. My brother also went there for a fractured ankle, after his surgery procedure and after many follow up visits, the doctor also recommended orthotics to him as well. read more

Dr. Su is the best! He knew exactly what was going on with both of my feet even though I was misdiagnosed by another specialist and an emergency room. I really like that he's not quick to prescribe medication, instead he will use a natural route or natural products if available. He has a lot of knowledge about alternatives to standard medications. Not only is he very professional but he's also very nice and attentive, never rushing you. His assistants (especially Curtis) and office staff are all equally wonderful. So naturally I show up at the "wrong" office and get told to either wait 2+ hours for a different doctor or hie over to the "correct" office. I was thoroughly disappointed with this company and their services. I went in because I was experiencing pain in my left foot. They recommended orthotics and a steroid injection in my foot to help with the discomfort. I was apprehensive about the injection they assured me the only side affect was minor redness and irritation the next day. They also told me my insurance would cover it. I mentioned that I work with doctors and maybe I should wait, but they strongly recommended it. I purchased my orthotics out of pocket and the injection ended up not even being covered by my insurance because they ran the code through as a surgical procedure. After $600 for my orthotics, $60 copayment for 3+ visits, another $150 for the injection my foot is still in pain and has divots in it from the strong steroid they used. My foot looks deformed and has major atrophy (fat loss). I even referred one of my clients to them when I initially went and she also forked over $500 plus and she was treated very poorly from the beginning. I mentioned all of this to them and said that I would like them to take a look at what they did to my foot but I am not paying anymore out of pocket. They refused to even see me, stating that this was their policy. I couldn't and still cannot believe the lack of concern this company has for it's patients. They're not appreciative of referrals and paying clients. They are not willing to work with or even see their clients to remedy a situation that was made worse by people that are supposed to be helping. I feel I was treated like a number, and the money is all that counts not the issue at hand. All in all, my foot is very much still in pain and now looks horrible! I would give this company zero stars, this all coming from a medical care professional. Do more research before deciding to go with them. read more

I won't be back. I was disappointed with everything from the complex recording when you just want to call in to make an appointment and all the way down to the attitude of the staff, their odd "policies" and the general lack of urgency in wanting to get your issue taken care of. If someone is having problems with their health or body, the last thing you want is a doctors office that draws out every appointment and takes forever to get you your orthotics or whatever else you need to get on with your life. They don't seem concerned with trying to get you well. It's as though they are doing you a favor and you are supposed to shut up and be grateful for what they're doing- even though you're the one paying them to do a job that they're obviously not proficient at. The doctor himself was fine, although I've seen better. Wouldn't recommend this place to others. And since I just finished my last appointment there recently, I can tell you- I won't be back. I'll do more research the next time I choose a podiatrist. Hope to save someone else the hassle of dealing with this office firsthand. Don't learn the hard way like me, just avoid this place- this location... and their location on Val Vista is no better. Had to go to both- according to where they could "fit me in". Some of the staff are not so bad i suppose-, but no one cares one way or the other if you come back again- that's for sure! I have been going to the Chandler office for over 10 years now, seeing Dr. Laurino, he is a great Dr. but the problems I have been experiencing over the past few years with the office staff and also with Jessica has become overwhelming. They are very rude and always try to demand payment for the current visit even though I make it clear each time what the process is that my insurance requires them to follow. They make a very big scene each time and then after calling or reading my insurance card they finally agree but never apologize for the scene they caused. When I showed up for my last Dr. appointment, the girl at the desk told me I had an outstanding payment of $49, I told her I had paid it online a few months back, she tried to call the billing dept. but they were already closed so I told her I would definitely call them the next day to understand the conflict so she provided me their contact info and we that was settled for the moment. I got to the examine room and they went over what the costs would be for today's visit (about $10 - $5 for a cortisone injection & $5 for x-rays, my deductible was paid and my fees would be 10%) they had me sign that I was ok to pay the $10 that day but I told them that my insurance requires them to bill first and then I would pay after the costs are negotiated with the insurance, then they continued to harp on the outstanding balance and told me I would have to pay that as well before the Dr. could see me. I ended up paying the $49 but it felt like they were holding a gun to me to get me to pay, Jessica wouldn't let up or agree to let me settle this the next day with their billing dept. Again, I've been seeing Dr. Laurino for over 10 years with no issues and keep coming back as I fully trust him but today I have gone to my insurance web site and have found another Podiatrist, so sorry to have to go this route but I was treated so badly by Jessica and the office staff that I refuse to return, it was so offensive and I felt so belittled after walking out. So sad that they are willing to lose a long time patient for an outstanding balance of $49. read more

Orthotics remade and still not providing support to feet for problem for which they are prescribed.
