He indicated achilles surgery might be needed. Then he joined a medical group, and we sort of wandered away. The second podiatrist went straight to surgery, which we consented to. Basically, detach the achilles, file down the spur, and reattach. After all that, the problem isn't any better than it was. Enter Dr Rowe. He evaluated the foot, and then ordered a series of MRI images to be taken. In hindsight, I have to wonder why the previous guys didn't do that! His conclusion: of course the achilles surgery didn't work because the calf muscle is a bit too short. So the spur is growing again because the underlying problem wasn't fixed. The calf needs to be lengthened. He was very up-front, very friendly, and not rushed. He stayed until all our questions were answered. We've declined for now, but I was impressed that he wanted detailed pictures to see what was really going on, and then made a suggestion that made sense. I think we have a new podiatrist. I suspect that surgery will happen, but for now we're going to live with it.

They argued that there was no record of my paying and wanted me to take care of it. I provided them with proof...No apologies nothing. Fast forward to a couple of years ago. I had a copay and paid with a debit, got a receipt. Got a bill in the mail for payment. Again had to prove that I had already paid. Frustrating. Will be finding another foot doctor.

When I went to Dr. Su he had me take some xrays and was shocked to see how bad it was broken. Dr. Su explained everything he was going to do to fix my problem. He was great I was not able to walk for 3 1/2 months he told me NOT to put any pressure on my foot I listened. So 8 months later I'm finely going back to work. However, they changed billing companies and I received a bill in 2026z When I called them to let them know, the response from the front desk guy was " our previous billing company did not do a good job, and I don't see any notes." They didn't try to resolve this and the front desk person was very rude and acted like I was lying. I'm not a fan of medical practices who blame the patient for billing issues, especially since it has been 2 years since I've even received a bill and thought this was taken care of.

Quality of Care 5/5 Amelia was very skilled and understanding of my ankle injury and custom brace. She reviewed accommodating footwear options, her recommendations and also formed a set of three custom orthotic inserts which all work well together. Office 5/5 The Chandler location has Podiatrists and related services and separate staff for custom orthotics. The office is towards the back of the business complex. Now for meeting the new Dr. Dr. Katy Statler came in the door, on time, with a smile on her face, introduced herself and I felt like I knew her forever! Very down to earth. Dr. Asked questions, reviewed Xrays with me, asked my concerns and discussed further actions. We even had time for some laughs. I left with a great feeling, had all my concerns addressed and it was a wonderful first visit.
