Two hours later they messaged me that my CT was canceled because my Doctors at Columbia Presbyterian did not get back to them with a prior authorization. They never told me this was needed, and then never told me they were having problems contacting my cardiology group. I called because this must be a mistake and the absolute rudest woman spoke over me for the entire phone call and then told me that I'd have to reschedule. I asked one question which was if my appointment was filled for tomorrow and she yelled at me for talking over her; which is ironic and hysterical. And then she HUNG UP ON ME. Thanks AMI. My appointment was initially scheduled for two CT scans, but when I arrived, I was told I couldn't proceed because no one had informed me that I needed to drink a contrast solution beforehand. Later, I received a call canceling my rescheduled appointment due to a supposed lack of insurance authorization--despite the fact that I did have the authorization. I tried calling the office to sort it out, but it took over 30 minutes for someone to answer the phone. I finally drove to the location in person and was given a new appointment. On the day of that appointment, after following all instructions and drinking the preparation solution (which was unpleasant), I showed up only to be told that my appointment had been canceled again. First, they claimed I had already completed the test. Then they said I still didn't have authorization. After sitting there for an hour and getting nowhere, I offered to pay out of pocket just to finally get it done. Initially, they said I couldn't--but then changed their mind and accepted my payment. I ended up paying $390 for a test that should have been covered by my insurance. This facility clearly struggles with communication and coordination. They rarely answer calls, and the third-party service they use for scheduling is completely unreliable. Stay away if you value your time, money, or sanity.

I have two friends that had that same procedure done about a year and a half ago, and they both went there and said very positive things. In the interim some friends that I spoke to said that they would never go to Community for various reasons. My experience !! It was seamless. We pulled up to the entrance and somebody was right there to valet our car, I was directed to the lab area, and had all my tests done, it was so easy. I met a nurse there I believe her name was Liz and she was so friendly and comforting. But from the time I checked in at the desk to the time I left everybody that I came in contact with was wonderful!! I had my surgery on February 26th and I went home on February 27. From start to finish it was a very pleasant experience. I just now wish that I hadn't been afraid to do it and I put it off for way too long. My Dr is Dr.Nugent and he is absolutely the best. So absolutely no complaints if I had to do it over again I would certainly go to your hospital. So with the choices being wet himself or go to the bathroom he chose the latter. When the girl came out to get him he told her he just went. Instead of being understanding, she was rude and condescending. Needless to say he got the prescription and we left. We will never again go there for a test.

I had questions about my scans and he didn't have the results in front of him. What an idiot. They don't like being questioned. They don't like reading what the radiologist comments on an mri, which mine stated sinuses based on the scan. I did the four tests and all normal. Everything is ms. Don't go here. The machine was not the completely open one, as on the website. However it was larger that a typical MRI scanner. I was in feet first so it was bearable. Had it been head first, I'm not so sure. Be sure to ask which machine you will be having if that's an issue did you. It was very quick. I was in and out in about an hour. I'd go there again if needed.
