I just had a HORRIBLE experience with AMI. I was set to have a CT scan of my brain tomorrow. They messaged me to upload the script which I did immediately. Two hours later they messaged me that my CT was canceled because my Doctors at Columbia Presbyterian did not get back to them with a prior authorization. They never told me this was needed, and then never told me they were having problems contacting my cardiology group. I called because this must be a mistake and the absolute rudest woman spoke over me for the entire phone call and then told me that I'd have to reschedule. I asked one question which was if my appointment was filled for tomorrow and she yelled at me for talking over her; which is ironic and hysterical. And then she HUNG UP ON ME. Thanks AMI. Had an appointment at 12:15 got thete about 1205 sat for half hour asked how long I was in pain can't sit up long told them I would reschedule no their coming waited 15 minutes asked again she said their coming waited again 25 min took me in back and left me sitting again the pain was too much so I left talked to office mng told her what happened She then writes in my folder I was late that's why it got rescheduled HUH? Great place to go for any testing.Staff are very concerning about your needs and make you feel very relaxed for whatever proceedure you are there for.Happy to have them in my area where I live.There is never making an appointment with them a issue, they accommodate. read more

Went here with an eye infection . Was in and out in 30 minutes . The PA ( Simon ) was very knowledgeable and professional . The entire staff was very courteous and helpful . The only shortfall was no X-Ray capability and very limited technical support ! read more

Not vascular surgeons 'more like an assembly line and the goal is to get them in and get them out. Prep room and procedure room does not feel sterile. Dr Chang isn't qualified for complicated issues. I always have had nothing but pra.ise for Atlantic Medical Imaging especially the one on Route 37 in Toms River . However today I am livid . I needed to get a copy of a disc which was previously ordered at the Hooper Avenue location . They close 4:30 my brother-in-law went to get it for me. He finishes work at 4:00 and he ran to get there . He got there at 4:26 and lo and behold they were closed . As he was getting out of the car he saw a couple of ladies walking toward their car which I'm assuming they closed about 4:20 or so . That is wrong wrong wrong . People work and you have no right closing prior to 4:30 . It's inconsiderate and selfish . Really put a bad taste in my mouth . Have always had imaging at AMI, but lately It's Unreal with the GateKeeping when trying to schedule a mammogram and other US/Radiologic services, by different doctors. How can the scheduling department know more than the ordering doctors? Multiple attempts to schedule appointments resulted in many hang ups by the "know it alls" working the phones! You give them ALL the information from the prescription and they are still arguing the reasons why they were prescribed?! Seriously???!!! Totally unacceptable! read more

Script for CT-Scan. filled out paperwork online prior, arrived on time, showed credentials, waited five minutes, boom scan took 5 min Max, staff friendly. Total time 30 min in and out. Two noteworthy things: the CT-Scan was very fast and quiet, yes quiet, no ear plugs needed. Avoid the crowds and get the 1st possible appointment you can. read more

If you have an implanted loop recorder stay away. I wanted the upright MR since I am claustrophobic. I asked if it was compatible with my loop recorder. They checked. I was left a voicemail, YES! I called, again YES! I changed several appointments to get this scan. Later in the day, I was called and told NO! I asked over 4 times if this scan is compatible. I have to wait 1 month now to get to my dr since I gave up the appointment I had. Oh, and no MRI!! I'm so frustrated with these people!! read more

This was my second visit to AMI. The office is a challenge to find, even after being there the year before, I made the same wrong turn and turned too soon so I had to turn around and retrace my steps. Staff is friendly and helpful. Waiting room chair arrangement is a bit odd but in keeping with 6' separation rules. My appointment was fast and efficient and waiting for copies of the CD were quick and professional. My results (review by the doctor) were in my chart the next day. It could not have been easier or a more pleasant experience. read more

Horrible office, staff and location. I understand the new protocols due to Covid but I literally sat in the waiting room for over and hour before being called back for my CT scan. I observed the office staff literally arguing through the plexi glass with an elderly caretaker of another elderly and apparent mute gentleman. this was after making them go outside and wait to be called in. And if you don't want to see and hear office staff making comments and faces about patients this is not the waiting room to be sitting in. Very uncaring and unprofessional. I could go on and on but easier to just not return or refer anyone else to. read more

I had a 9 am apt. I was told to get there at 8:30 to fill out paperwork. The paperwork took 10 minutes to fill out. At 9:10, I was informed the tech was running behind and the wait would be another 25 minutes. At 9:45, I went in for my MRI. This total disregard for my time, coupled with the absence of any apology for the unexplained hour long wait, is inexcusable. I will never go back. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. My husband and I arrived around 5:30 to fill out necessary paperwork and his appointment was at 6. We waited very patiently from the time we arrived. A woman came in after us with a 6:30 appointment and got called back before he did. When asked about it the secretary dodged the question made a phone and said it will be 2 minutes.It wasn't until 7 o'clock his name was finally called For him to go back. read more

My experience with the staff conducting the actual MRI was extremely pleasant. Very nice and attentive, made the session and atmosphere extremely comfortable. Front desk was quick and easy as well. My only complaint is I think they are a little too much with Covid, between the temperate taking and all the questions, to the waiting room set up, its just a little overboard. Other than that I think they do a great job at making your testing quick and easy. read more

We were told that the facility could not, or were not capable of carrying out the Provider's Script for an Upper GI on my 94 year old father. I requested that they reattempt the procedure with my verbal assistance. I explained that I had had similar difficulty with his inability to maintain balance, but by using creative alternative means, achieved a successful outcome. The Provider would not consider my advice and rejected my offer of assistance. I am an EMT, and have had the role of PCG and POA for my father for over 10 years. If there was anyone else who could be able to work through these difficulties successfully, it would be me. Liability aside, best practices are the norm. Non-the-less, we will not be coming back to AMI anytime soon. Disappointed!! read more

I had appt on May 31, 2022 for Mammogram. I waited over a month to get this appt. I live about an hour away from this facility but was recommended by a friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer so I made the appt. An hour before I left my house, a Jackie called me to inform me that they needed my last test results and if I did not have it, they would not be able to see me. I asked why they waited until an hour before I was to leave to inform me of this. They stated a note was in the file stating they had reached out to me which was false. No one called, I stated I would find the report and was headed to the office. I gave them a copy of my last report but not the CD since I could not find it. I waited almost an hour in the waiting room to be told they could not perform the Mammogram. They could have informed me two weeks prior to my appt. I complained to the manager, Colleen ,she apologized and stated that I should have been informed at least two weeks prior and that she would speak to the staff of about changing the way this was handled. They should make it very clear to the patients that if you don't have your past results you will not be seen. Front desk was not friendly. I would definitely recommend the facility in Brick. I do not recommend this facility or their staff. read more
