The receptionist greeted me warmly and immediately set a positive tone for my visit. The doctor was not only pleasant but incredibly thorough. He took the time to listen and made sure all of my concerns were addressed. I felt HEARD and truly felt like my care mattered. Unlike many ER experiences, the doctor didn't just see me once and disappear. He returned several times throughout my visit to discuss results, answer questions, and make sure I understood everything. He made sure I had an after care plan and explained that all as well. Nurse Pam was absolutely amazing. She is caring, gentle, knowledgeable, and exceptional at what she does. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood what I needed to know before leaving and she was pleasant to talk to. Jackie, the CT technologist, was also wonderful. She was kind, warm, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. She explained everything before we started so there were no surprises. She was also very pleasant to talk to. I would also like to recognize the young lady who was shadowing. She was kind, professional, and attentive throughout my visit. She asked important questions about my medical history, drug allergies and did a wonderful job making sure I was comfortable. Her compassion and professionalism were evident, and she has a bright future ahead of her in healthcare. Before I was discharged, the staff made sure I had all of my results, understood my next steps, and had every opportunity to ask questions. I never felt like I was being rushed out of the door. The facility itself was clean, organized, and well-maintained. Most importantly, every person I encountered treated me with kindness and compassion. I am truly grateful for the outstanding care I received. This facility is staffed by genuinely great people who CLEARLY care about their patients. Then billed my insurance for surgery which then I had to pay a deductible for. They don't even answer their phones when you want to dispute it. On top of everything, the NP wrote incorrect notes which made my insurance claims a nightmare to settle. So many other urgent care options in Houston, don't go to Neumed.

Every single staff member I encountered was friendly, compassionate, and professional. Having to go to the ER can be a traumatizing experience because you are already worried about what is going on with yourself. This ER made sure I was tended to with the utmost care and compassion, which made all the difference. Dr. Sherry and Nurse Jackie were absolutely incredible. They were attentive, patient, and never once dismissive of my worries. They took the time to really talk with me, understand my history, and explain everything thoroughly. That level of care and communication is rare and so appreciated. Even though The Heights Emergency Room is a stand-alone ER not tied to a big hospital network, they are impressively well equipped. Their rooms are spacious, comfortable, and as clean as any hospital ER I have ever seen. They also have the equipment to test for a wide range of issues on site, and my labs were drawn and processed right there with results coming back quickly. That kind of efficiency gave me real peace of mind. Since I was there most of the day, they even arranged Chick-fil-A for me, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. It really made me feel cared for as a person, not just a patient. After a very negative past experience at another hospital, this visit was a complete 180. I will absolutely be coming back here for any and all emergency needs in the future. Hands down, this was the best ER experience I have ever had.

The horror of horrors is that they charged $479.75 for a "PT Eval Low Complex 20 min" session. Granted, my insurance chipped in; but when you run the numbers, $479.75 for a '20 min' session would be the type of numbers a Manhattan attorney would salivate over! More disturbing, when I googled average PT costs with and without insurance, the average numbers were much lower than what this location billed. My advice, visit here only if you have the cost nailed-down in advance.
