I have had great visits with the NP's there. They will give you appointments last minute and are very nice to work with.

Most of the negative reviews on here are five years or older. I would like to think that this…read moredoctors office took a 180 turnaround. I have been coming here for almost 6 years now. It's the only pediatricians office I've ever taken my kids to. I absolutely love the staff, they greet you at the door they help you carry things to your car if you don't have enough hands. And I think the doctors at this office are more than understanding and they go above and beyond to take care of their patients kids. I see Dr. Michael O'Donnell and he is absolutely fabulous. He takes the time with each patient to make them feel special and takes their needs into consideration. One of my sons's a little bit below the spectrum, Dr. O'Donnell well demonstrate things to his stuffed animal before he does them to him. Extremely sweet and caring, I wouldn't want to take my kids anywhere else. I read all the nasty reviews of this place but like I said I'm pretty positive this place did a complete 180. Please don't let the negative reviews turn you away. We live all the way in Woodstock we drive to Schaumburg whenever we need to go to the doctors office. And for the negative reviews saying that sometimes they have to sit on hold when they call that happens everywhere. But I've never had to sit on hold for longer than 10 minutes and that's only when they are extremely packed usually around vaccination time.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this pediatric clinic…read more At my newborn's first appointment, just two days after being discharged from the hospital, Dr. Michael O'Donnell examined my baby. My baby had been delivered with vacuum assistance after a difficult labor lasting more than two hours, which resulted in a small scalp abrasion and some temporary head molding. Every doctor and nurse at the hospital had reassured us that the injury was healing normally and that everything looked fine. However, Dr. O'Donnell told us that our baby needed to go to the emergency room immediately and suggested the situation could be very serious. As new parents, this caused enormous stress and panic. We dropped everything, rushed to the ER, and after a full evaluation, we were told that there was nothing seriously wrong with our baby. The entire ordeal felt unnecessary and created significant anxiety during an already difficult postpartum period. What was even more frustrating was the behavior of the front desk staff. When we brought our newborn in for an early pediatric visit, the staff refused to allow the appointment because our baby did not yet have insurance (she did not have Social Security Number as she was not even a month old baby at that time). Any parent of a newborn knows that obtaining a Social Security Number takes time. Despite this, the staff insisted that our baby could not be seen. Only after escalating the situation did a doctor step in and confirm that the appointment could proceed normally. This experience made me feel that the staff either lacked proper training or did not understand standard newborn insurance procedures. The doctors may be knowledgeable, but the unnecessary emergency referral and the extremely poor handling by the front desk left me with little confidence in this clinic. New parents deserve accurate guidance, professionalism, and compassion! NOT confusion, stress, and obstacles to receiving care.

I've been bringing my kids here for years with no problems -- until this week. Because of the…read moregovernment shutdown, my newborn's insurance hasn't activated yet. The DAY before his 2-month checkup, the billing department calls to tell me they won't see him anymore until it becomes active. I explained the situation, reminded them my older child is insured through the same plan, and even offered to PAY OUT OF POCKET. Their answer? "We can't see him without active insurance." For a WELLNESS visit. For a newborn. I couldn't believe how little they cared. No options, no effort to help, nothing. Just "no insurance, no visit." Thankfully my baby wasn't sick, because apparently they wouldn't have seen him anyway. This whole situation was completely out of my control, and the lack of compassion or common sense was unbelievable. I've never felt so dismissed by a medical office. I've already switched to a new pediatrician who actually prioritizes patient care instead of hiding behind insurance policies.

My daughter needs to take medicine she's a newborn and needed a refill. Monday The original prescription was sent over but not filled due to the dosage changing. Called them back to have the correct dosage sent over and I don't believe message was ever relaid to doctors or they might have been gone for the day. Tuesday Called later afternoon to request status of refill being sent over. Was told doctors out of office due to Jewish holiday and to call back the next day. We were never told that doctors would be out of office and never given an oncall number to get script corrected. Also, no notes in our daughter's file from the call on Monday. Wednesday Called first thing in the morning to talk to doctors. Was told doctors were still off for the holiday, which didn't make sense in why we were told to call the day before. We were now told to call the other office location tomorrow as doctor was going to be there. Also, there still were no notes in our daughter's file of what needed to be done and still no oncall number provided. Thursday Called again (second office location) first thing Thursday morning. Explained the situation all over again as there were no notes in the file. Was told we should of called the (original office), which we then had to explain again the situation. Script was finally sent over correctly to be refilled. Due to the inadequacy of the staff we decided we were going to leave this practice. I called to have the records sent over to the new practice. I was told I can come in to fill out the request form or I can email them. I asked to be emailed the form, so I could fill it out and send it back. They told me they couldn't send over the form and just write it on a piece of paper. They also do not have the forms on their website. I call the new practice 8 days later to find out medical records haven't been received. Call here again to find out they didn't see the email/overlooked it. Even though I told them I was sending it the same day I got off the phone with them. Explained I need records sent over that night or following business day as daughter has appt at new practice in two business days. Following business day no medical records at new practice. Called them again and they still have not sent over the records. Was told their fax was not working. Finally get a call back and it magically worked. It took 11 days and multiple calls to get the records to the new practice. Needless to say the front office brings this office to one star.
