Guy was a very attentive and enthusiastic PT that helped get me back on track after a dislocated…read moreshoulder and torn labrum. He did a detailed intake when we started to assess where I was in recovery and what exercises to start with. He always explained in detail how each exercise was beneficial and what muscle areas and type of exercise it was addressing (I.e. mobility, strength). He was also open to ideas I suggested for additional exercises and even ended up adding a few based on my ideas. He sent me updated exercise programs every week highlighting any changes to the routine as well as links to tutorial videos demonstrating the exercises. He remarked how quickly I made progress through the exercises at first but didn't hesitate to hold me accountable when certain areas fell behind (I.e. range of motion) and suggested doing additional repetitions in the lagging area to help get me back on track. I kept him up to date on updates I received from my doctor via post op appointments, and while my doctor erred on the side of caution when discussing my long term functionality with my injured shoulder, Guy was more optimistic that I could regain my pre-injury form as long as I worked consistently at it. Additionally, Guy was very easy to talk to and we'd go on tangents talking about bike riding, hiking, our childhoods, etc while he was helping loosen up my arm in the beginning of our sessions. I think that definitely made me feel more at ease with navigating my recovery, and we were able to wrap up our sessions in just six months. Guy made sure to send me off with a home program that I could build off of and also offered to answer any lingering questions I might have with a quick email. As for the practice itself, Renew Physical Therapy was one of the only practices that accepted my insurance and also made scheduling/rescheduling/cancelling appointments quite easy. Whenever there was no availability their waitlist system was straightforward to use (although cancellation appointments did fill up fast). Great practice, great guy (pun intended), would recommend for your physical therapy needs!

Trying to regain my form after a year away from running, I'm seeing a huge improvement in my mechanics. They've given me free speed - faster for the same perceived effort - and a better understanding of running mechanics. If you're a runner, triathlete, or whatever, this will definitely help. Core, leg, and upper body strength sessions with excellent oversight. Nicole is extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and helpful. She's amazing.

I've been seeing Giancarlo Centeno at GSPORTS Physical Therapy for about six weeks, and the…read moreprogress has been fantastic. They've helped me address long-standing issues on my right side -- especially my foot, but also my hip and shoulder. The pain is gone, and I'm back to playing tennis two to three times a week with only limited discomfort after really tough workouts. We're still working on building even more strength and mobility, but the difference already feels huge. They diagnosed the issue quickly and built a program focused on strength, mobility, and flexibility. The exercises take time but are absolutely worth it -- I've developed control and awareness of muscles (and even my toes!) like I haven't had in years. The whole team has been great -- not just with the exercise guidance, but also with the behind-the-scenes details that make scheduling and continuing treatment easy and stress-free. I never could have done this on my own with internet research. Highly recommend!

Carlie is amazing with scheduling and insurance -- efficient, warm, and a clear communicator. The office is so lucky to have them! The space itself is always clean, not too big or too small, and all the equipment is really well maintained, regularly sanitized for every client. The office does get busy, so my very first appointment took a little time to schedule, but after that, everything's been smooth and regular. Overall, a friendly, professional team that makes the whole process of healing to be pleasant, manageable and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Prior to going to my sessions, I was skeptical about seeing a PT, but her approach changed my perspective. She taught me way more than I thought I'd walk away with. What first caught my attention was the information available on the website and how they claimed to "not be another" physical therapy office. As any intrigued customer would, I called and was greeted by a very friendly, competent, and helpful administrator, Toya. Toya provided a lot of great insight about the company and even called my insurance provider (Blue Cross Blue Shield) to ensure that my insurance would be accepted before scheduling my initial visit. Toya really is awesome and is one of the reasons that I chose Therapydia. Upon arrival to the Embarcadero Center, where the office is located, parking is available in the underground structure and Therapydia validates parking. Instead of paying $18, I only paid $4. The actual office is upstairs between a hair studio and other business. The office was very clean, inviting, and provided enough privacy that other patrons wouldn't know what's happening. I was originally scheduled to meet with Allison, but, I worked with Marcus instead. Marcus was friendly and knowledgeable. I'm looking forward to rehabilitating my shoulder at Therapydia and recommend them for any physical therapy needs.

Her approach to body work is extremely special and unique, combining advanced techniques and principles from a variety of disciplines, like structural integration, myofascial release, energy work, and Neurovascular Release. Incredibly effective and unlike anything I've ever experienced before! I've seen acupuncturists, massage therapists and chiropractors for years and have seen more results in just a few sessions with Christine. She is really passionate about her work and it definitely shows. Christine is a true healing partner and so pleasant to work with.
