Next day, Cabe arrives, no spiel but an honest assessment, good information, no BS. He was knowledgeable, friendly, had an easy humor. And he listened to us! Next week he installs the toilet and bidet, and on his way out I ask him to look at the faucets in the laundry area. They were pretty bad, and as I had already thought, should probably be replaced. Give me a quote, I say, and when he does I ask when he can do the work. Right now, he replies, pending clearance from the office. Clearance granted, he replaces the faucets with new quarter turn ones. Yes, he had to cut into the wall, and while he wasn't obliged to patch it up, he put it back together fairly well. Not long after that we called about a leaking shower. Again Cabe shows up. Replaces the cartridge, but while the leaking stops, the shower handle spins 360 and doesn't check the water from reaching scalding temperatures. But he doesn't support that brand of faucet. Nevertheless, he needs only a few parts - he actually hunts them down at the local big box store! When he leaves, we have a working shower that won't burn our son. He didn't have to do go to all this effort. But he demonstrated a concern for our son's needs. We were the focus of his attention. Excellent service and a real nice guy. Cabe was outstanding, a real gem. Trustworthy. He's like a good friend. I can't recommend Smith's highly enough.

We had no idea who to call, but saw their website that says "if water runs through it, we do it" so we called them and they stuck to their word! The problem was a compound fractured pvc pipe and broken clean out adapter. They worked with a local company to repair the pipe from the inside (and behind the brick wall) saving us thousands from potentially cutting through our remodeled bathroom. Jamey was responsive always returning texts and calls promptly, and really cared about the work. He made sure they weren't going to stop until the problem was absolutely fixed. Do not use Tim Ferguson for any Generac/Generator servicing. Used them for a general service and…read moretake care of a simple error code. The tech changed the oil and serviced the generator but did it before fixing the error and then proceeded to not be able to clear the error. Therefore the oil couldn't cycle through to prevent further damage because the engine wouldn't crank. Supposedly the service manager couldn't troubleshoot either or they just wanted to charge me $200/hr for diagnostics and the error which they thought was the control board. I do not know if they didn't know how to fix or if they just wanted to charge me more money. Simple google search said change the battery and I did that myself and generator cranked and no issues. Was trying to find a reputable company so I don't have to maintain it myself but Tim Ferguson is not that company. Very disappointing given their supposedly good reputation.

$$$$$$ I called them…read moreup for a job and they WAY over quoted me. Another BBB A+ rated plumber did the same job for less than 20% of what they quoted me. (They were overpriced by 80%, compared to the other company.) The guy who came out to quote the job started off confident and nice and then he ended very wishy washy and told me they try to be right there (pricing) with Hiller Plumbing and some of the other big name companies (rip offs) in town. When I received the quote, I saw that he was right. They were Wayyyyyy overpriced. They quoted me a "two man job for two days" at approx $2,200. I found another great licensed plumber who completed the job for $417 out the door and he completed the job perfectly in about 2 hours. The Traditional plumbing guy who quoted me, also told me he had multiple bosses (like 3 or 4, I can't remember exactly) that needed to all call him back individually asking the same questions. It didn't instill much confidence and it only appeared that they either wanted to price gouge me, or... they didn't know what they needed to do so they over quoted, just in case. Either way, no thanks. I'm into hiring quality, honest people for a fair price for both of us. I'm not into writing blank checks and paying outrageous unfair prices.
