I explained my daughter is having an emergency tonsillectomy surgery this morning @ physicians regional Hospital because her throat is bleeding and she couldn't breathe Tina the horrible front office staff person just argued with me and told me that's their policy. even after knowing it was an emergency tonsillectomy, her position remained the same. I'm done with disrespectful doctors who treat people like second-class citizens. We aren't impressed that you went to medical school if you never learned empathy, kindness, compassion, or how to treat another human being with respect. Apparently Dr. Stepanenko either wasn't taught, or doesn't believe in, bedside manner. Because she has none. I watched her treat the medical assistant like he was beneath her right in front of me. I watched her back a lot too, since she spent much of the appointment sitting and typing at the computer rather than looking her patient in the eyes. She couldn't seem to remember what she said to my face by the time she turned around to type it five seconds later, then was rude to the medical assistant when he did his best to remember for her as she demanded he repeat what she had just said so she could enter it into her laptop. When she asked me what had worked for me in the past related to the issue I was experiencing, she yelled at me that she doesn't prescribe some of those things. I didn't care whether she did or didn't. I was simply answering her question, yet she responded with a level of hostility and contempt that was shocking. She never properly examined me or put her hands on me to determine what might be going on. Instead, she made a series of assumptions and ordered unnecessary tests. I know those assumptions were entirely inaccurate because I went to see another practitioner who helped me resolve the issue in a single appointment with no testing needed, and who was appalled when I shared my experience with Dr. Stepanenko. Her behavior was unacceptable and inexcusable. I will never return to Jaffe. It has become a revolving door of doctors, and patients deserve better. I will go out of my way to save others from wasting their time here. I sincerely hope you don't waste yours.

I was not told of risk factors prior to…read moresurgery, had a "spontaneous" femur fracture 7 days after surgery requiring complete revision surgery, was told that the cause of the fracture was due to my age and weight (but never told of this risk prior to surgery). In rehab, nurses, caregivers and therapists could not reach him or his office staff for follow-up instructions. I was unable to reach the office on several occasions, even when my question was urgent. My star rating would be a -2 if possible. Beware.

if i could give them a zero i would.... reckless and…read moreirresponible..... severe lower back issue...... after getting mri i call them per doctors recommendation... meet with the therapist...we talk...it's cordial then he has be do some exercises.... mind you lower back pain that radiates down your back, into your thigh, calf, foot and of course lower back is still tender.... then he has me do some exercises......the pain climbs and is getting serious......then i ask, did you read the mri report? the answer was, we don't have it! i ask if they will get it, after all it was a $4000 mri....seemed all old guys have the same problem and they are all treated the same... this was on a thursday late in the day. monday at 4:30 pm i get a nasty phone call from the office, advising i missed my appointment fot 4 pm.....and i better show up for my wednesday and friday appointment. this is all news to me, nobody set and appointment with me, everyone up front already went home when i left with the therapist on thursday..... then i ask if the got a copy of the doctors report on the mri, that was a big inconvienece for her majesty on the phone. she agreed to do it then call to set an appointment with me. never did and it's been almost weeks. needless to say, the pain and tightness is still with me, but next week i have another appointment with an office that gets a copy of the mri. as far as this place goes, i'm done with them.
