I was referred here for my physical therapy after seeing Dr. David Greifinger (see corresponding…read morereview), whose office is located on the same floor. I was diagnosed with tendinitis and frozen shoulder, and was going to require physical therapy for several weeks to try to reduce the pain and regain by range of motion. Diane is the physical therapist on staff. Although we had to play a rigorous game of phone tag to get an appointment over a period of two days, it was worth the wait. I had already obtained a prescription from Dr. G for what I needed and they had my file. This made things easy. In addition, Diane had confirmed that my sessions were authorized by my insurance and the amount of the co-payments I needed to pay. I showed up for my appointment and received an additional exam. Diane confirmed what my range of motion was as a baseline. I started treatment and she kindly explained what I would do the first day, and gave my exercises to do at home. She was encouraging and explained what I shouldn't do initially while I am healing. Magazines were provided while I was waiting for the TENS treatment to finish. I was given the option to pay by credit card or check (I supposed I could have paid has as well) for my co-pay. There are also places to exercise (which didn't apply to me). Before he left he mention to me that I will be seen by another physician. The replacement of the Spine Surgeon was a Physician Assistant (PA). That Physician Assistant who saw me was absolutely unprofessional, rude and sarcastic. I will never forget his name, Daniel PA at Oasis-Brooklyn Office. This man practice the lowest level of health care and ethical standard. He shows no respect to patient, poor assestment and do not review health records from the my previous Spine Md. Today, which was the second time that he saw me, cale late again.Daniel displaced his anger to the person who assigned pts to exam room. Daniel shows his anger by rushing us to go to the room and as soon as he gets in to the exam room telling me to remove my jacket without even expalining to me what he will do. Unaaceptable behavior and rudenes by telling me your the patient and I am the Physician, which was a lie. He is Physician Assistant. He is telling me how come I dont listen like the other patient that he just saw before me. Oopps, totally wrong, you cannot discuss nor share to me what you just did to other patient. HIPPA violation. Discussing to me he will do an MRI. Another red flag ! I already have an MRI and it is on my file. Overall, unsafe practice for Daniel (Physician Assistant) to be seeing patients. Healthcare is about knowing your patient and safely treat them. Doumentation is another thing but kindly know your patient before going to the exam room. No eye contact to patient which tells me alot of things. Unprofessional and rude. Healthcare has already improved. Do not come to work and tell the Patient, you are the patient and you must do what I say. We are better than that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Daniel (Physician Assistant) and Oasis is accomodating his attitude and unsafe practice. Staff were intimidated when he comes in. This does not exist anymore in healthcare. We the patient have the rights to ask questions and demand explanations, we need to know right treatment. We are own self's advocate.

Dr Koppel had initiated my treatment after a motor vehicle accident left me unable to work for and…read morebarely able to move. I had gone from working & going to school full-time to being unable to attend a even a single class reliable and made it impossible to work, sleep, or move normally. When numerous other physicians failed to provide relief through meds or attempted procedures and gave up; Dr Koppel developed a treatment plan and we started investigating other procedures that may help. Even though we didn't find a solution over night Dr. Koppel kept trying to find options and eventually found procedures in my neck and back which allowed enough pain relief to develop a new treatment plan and I was able to slowly return to work and school. Dr Koppel has enabled me to return to work full-time and to finish the bachelors degree that had been missing just two semesters. I've now returned to being a functional member of society thanks to Dr Koppel's expertise, experience and compassion.
