My wife had an appointment today for an ear cleaning with Dr. Klarsfeld, and the conduct of his assistant was completely unacceptable. This individual was dismissive, cold, and unprofessional to the point of being hostile. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident. We experienced the same behavior during my wife's previous visit, which made today's interaction especially frustrating and disappointing. Given that history, it was hard not to conclude that the behavior was intentional rather than incidental. To make matters worse, the assistant did not return to complete my wife's care. That lack of follow-through only reinforced our concern that patient treatment and professionalism are not being taken seriously. Because this issue has now occurred more than once, we have decided not to return to your practice. I wanted you to be fully aware that this decision is based entirely on repeated, unacceptable interactions with this staff member. read more

Dr. Jay H. Klarsfeld MD I went to see this doctor in this practice for an ear problem. Not only did he not fix my problem but his assistant made it worse by trying to flush my ear out with water. I told the Dr. before I left that my ear was plugged up and he said it would go away in time. It did not! I had to see a different ENT 2 days later who informed me that there was still wax in my ear (which Dr. Klarsfeld assured me he got it all out) and that I had an ear infection from the assistant putting water in my ear, so I am now on antibiotics. I would not recommend anyone see this doctor, his bedside manner was terrible, his assistant should not have attempted a procedure on me that she was not qualified to do and I my appointment was 30 minutes later than scheduled and I was told to be there 15 minutes before my appt. so I spent an hour there before I was ever seen! read more

Waited 40 minutes to be seen by a nurse that told me I did not need an ear cleaning and refused to do the cleaning. The nurse left the room twice to speak to the doctor who did not even come in the room to see me. Left before even being seen by the doctor. Do not waste your time at this office! read more

I Waited a long time after asking "will I be waiting long, I have work after this," only to be told to use sinus sprays. Dr. B seemed very easily agitated by my asking questions. Even though he answered them, there was some sort of tone of belittlement for asking for more information on my own terms, I think I saw him hold back rolling his eyes at me. He was however flexible to my request to not overuse antibiotics and referred me appropriately to an allergist. He was knowledgeable. I made an appointment 3 months ago with a plastic surgeon at my last appointment only to get a call the morning of my appointment which was today to be told it would be cancelled bc the Dr. had a delayed surgery. However, they wouldn't have any availability to reschedule until after Thanksgiving over 2.5 weeks out!!! How is it that ok to do to a patient? To make a patient wait over 2 more weeks, almost 3, for another appointment when the Dr. cancels the same day!! I am furious, seems very unprofessional and not patient centered. Ginny (Virginia) is the brightest, cheeriest, most upbeat and positive person I have ever encoultered in a doctor's office. My mother needed plastic surgery following the removal of a tumor near her ear and Ginny had her smiling, joking, and just feeling relaxed while we were anxiously waiting for the Doctor. She was also very helpful when we needed to coordinate appointments with various physicians in the ASC group of medical practices. We went here for Hearing test for my toddler. I had to complete the paper work before they checked us in. Doctor was friendly and explained us the process. I asked for the print out of the report which they gave us and faxed the copy to my pediatrician. Setting up an appointment was quite easy. They have plenty of parking available. read more

This is the worst place ever! Stay away from Advanced Specialty Care! I love Dr Egan and have been a patient of his for 15 years. When he sold out to this business, getting to see him has become a nightmare! They don't answer the phone. When you leave a message, the instructions say they'll call back within 2 hours, they never do. They have cancelled my appointment on me.with no explanation or apology. While I really appreciate the doctors and care I have received in the past I have an issue with their billing. I was quoted a price (based on codes that would be used) but the price came in almost $450 higher (because they used a different code). When I complained I was told that there was nothing they could do because the doctor did more work. Huh? He only used 25 of the 30 minutes allotted. That is an unfair business practice. I will be looking for different doctors and I will not recommend them to my friends any longer. read more

I had hand surgery there in Nov. 2009 for a ruptured tendon. Performed by Sohel Islam MD. He fixed the problem I went in for but created a worse one. The median nerve in my left arm was injured (I believe from the anesthesia or nerve block) and painful for months. My left thumb was PARALYZED for 9 months. I did not have the use of my left arm or hand most of that time. I was unable to work. I was told that total recovery would be 1 month. When I went to him to discus the problem he took no responsibility and said it must have been something that I did. After 9 months my thumb started to move and I began physical therapy and have now regained about 85% use of the arm and hand. Very bad experience!!! read more
