I use this laptop every day in support of a small mom and pop business and it was dead in the water. I spoke to several people in the area and they recommended their service. I spoke with them and we developed a fix. I would have to have the screen and ports replaced, but, given the age of the laptop, it was not worth it. I did not have a recent backup, so I was in a bind. They gave me prompt service and great advice as to cost, given the age of the laptop and whether it was worth the effort. He did mention more advanced (and very expensive) recovery options, but I wish the limits of what he could do himself and the cost if nothing worked had been clearer up front.
