Bruce and one of his technicians showed up yesterday afternoon to check out the lay of the land for an estimate to replace the 20+ year-old unit that I've been expecting to fail at any moment... Imagine my surprise when they traced the problem to a burnt circuit breaker and cable in the unit and got me up and running with the promise to return this week to install a new breaker... It's difficult, to say the least, trying to navigate the trades these days, trying to figure out who's honest and competent, and a pleasure to have found both in these guys at Advanced Texas Air Conditioning... I can't provide enough positive feedback about Bruce and his business to do him justice. He is professional, honest, and hard working. This is the only air conditioning service I would recommend to anyone in Texas. Instead of being charged hundreds of dollars he fixed my problem for $35 because the only thing that was wrong was faulty wiring of my thermostat after two different companies told me I needed to replace expensive parts and pay $60 per for every 15 minutes if they were there plus a $60 service call I truly felt like I dodged a bullet. We called Bruce to troubleshoot one of our two air conditioning units at our house in Wylie. From start to finish, it was a pleasure to meet Bruce on the phone and in person when he moved things around to come out and check out, then repair my system, in the rain. To be fair, it was a simple repair. The start-up capacitor on the compressor had gone bad, but he kept it simple and even found the freon levels to be fine.
