I called Advanced Tree Care hoping to get setvices from a knowledgeable company to trim trees and bushes in my yard, rather than just have my grass people do it. What a disappointment! The trees were barely trimmed - when I asked about it, they said they are only supposed to take the deadwood off. Guess what - now that there are leaves, you can see that the trees are full of dead branches. They left a bunch of cut branches in the bushes, I am having to spend hours taking them out, and it turns out that the way they trimmed privets will lead to bear branches only with greenery on top, not a nice hedge I was looking for - I will have to have someone else cut it again. Another set of bushes appears dead after the pruning. I feel like I threw a lot of money away. read more

Advanced Treecare was hired by our neighbors for some clean up on their side of the lot line. Their team disregarded the lot line and ended up taking a big part of our bushes out, leaving a complete eye sore behind. I tried to work with the arborist to get it rectified, but Mike's complete lack of professionalism was disappointing, to say the least. He claimed they did no wrong. This is the first negative Yelp review I have ever written. We understand mistakes happen, but we don't understand their complete disregard on trying to make it right. The crew just left and not only are they a fun and polite group, but they did such a nice job.  They cleaned up every twig in both my yard and the adjoining neighbor's, roofs included.  If a tree part landed hard and left a divot or equipment scarred the lawn, they worked diligently to put things back in order.  A disciplined and kind crew (some even helped a neighbor catch a run away dog!) can only mean good service from the top.  This was the most reasonable quote we got, and I couldn't be happier to pass their name on. So far so good. We needed a 35 ft tall diseased Austrian Pine removed from our front yard. Advanced Tree Care was very responsive. After one of their arborists (Dee Lee) came out to assess the situation, we were able to have the tree removed within a few business days later. They charged us a VERY reasonable rate (about 30% less than the lowest of the other three quotes I got). I was worried about the cost due to the size of the tree. I learned that there are many other considerations that factor into the cost of removing a tree. They probably could've jacked the price up on me, and I would've been none the wiser, but they didn't. Overall, a very efficient operation, which seems to help them pass some savings on to the customer. read more

I am very pleased with the service they have provided. We just moved from a HOA community to a single family home, where we have to take care of pretty much everything, from mowing the lawn to trimming and pruning trees. We interviewed a couple other companies, and although they were just as courteous and professional, Advanced Tree Care Service offered more competitive quotes (without knowing what others have offered), so we thought we would give them a try. Plus, Mike, whom I spoke with directly, was very knowledgeable in tree care, which gave us assurance that they'll do a great job, and sure they did, for a fraction of what we might have paid had we hired the other service. I had two dead Ash trees to remove (Victims of Emerald Ash Borer). Had been writing down the names of services working in the area for a few weeks, check all out on Yelp, Got four quotes. The Advanced quote was almost the lowest, and it looked to me like they had better equipment and more professional approach. We had them come out recently to look at an old oak tree in our yard that has fungus growing out if it. We were worried we would hear it needs cutting down followed by an expensive estimate. We learned it will go at some point but it's ok for now. Mike, who we spoke with, was honest, informative and very professional. Advanced Tree Care was wonderful! They were the ONLY ones who immediately answered my emergency call. On a Friday afternoon my 50' tree had a limb split. One half covering my yard and a 40' branch on my roof! I placed an emergency call to two companies and no one called me back! On Sunday I called Advanced Tree Care - MIchael returned my call in five minutes and within two hours, Mike, the arborist, came by to check out was necessary for the job. The whole team was there by 8:00 am on Monday morning! They were professional and cleaned up afterwards - even sprayed a hornets next for me that they found on the roof in a vent! Did a great job, despite a scheduling issue. We recently bought our first home and had to have a few trees removed based on the home inspector's findings. Advanced Tree Care provided the best quote for a large silver maple that was about 6 feet away from our house and also sat right up against our neighbor's wood fence. On the scheduled day, I didn't learn until 2pm in the afternoon that the work wouldn't be done that day, and they wanted to reschedule for the following week. As annoyed as I was, overall I'd let it slide because they did a wonderful job when they came out to the house. Given the size of the maple tree and the complexity of the work, a limb could have come crashing down on our roof (or our neighbor's!) at any point. Our yard has many other large trees that will need maintenance down the road, and we would definitely use this company again. read more

I was a loyal customer for 22 years with a very popular company (SAT) out of Palatine. We had an appalling incident with the company and they refused to remedy the situation which cost us thousands. Therefore, I searched for a new Tree Care company. I hired Advanced Tree Care a few years ago after reading reviews, and could not be more pleased with them with treating our trees. Today, we had them shape, prune dead wood, and thin out 5 large trees. I didn't expect much since the trees had been neglected for years before we bought the property. I came downstairs and saw their trucks leaving, I looked at the trees and noticed one of the crab trees wasn't what I expected I started to call the company to let them know, and the trucks came back. One of the workers had lost something and came back to find it. I asked the foreman "Ryan" if they had forgotten to trim up the crab, and he didn't know what I was talking about. I told him, and he immediately had his crew unload and redo the crab tree. It was a misunderstanding on the work order. It was the hottest day of the year, but they took the time to fix the problem and got behind on their day for over an hour, fixing it. WOW...they completely transformed all the trees into absolute gorgeous trees again. Plus, I didn't even know they were here with the clean up!! I can not thank them enough on such a GREAT job!! Advanced Tree came out to remove a large maple tree in my back yard. Due to the location, they had to climb the tree, rope and cut. I cannot compliment the staff enough on their work ethic, professionalism, and friendliness. The tree took nearly all day to bring down on a warm day. They barely took a break. When they finished, the yard was spotless and the only way you can tell they were there was by the missing tree. They even removed a couple of bushes by the tree for me, saving me a bunch of time and energy. Their quote as about 25% less than the bid from another large outfit, so overall I am well pleased with their service. I highly recommend them to anybody needing tree service. read more

Very happy with the service and work provided. I had a lot of tree work done last fall including removing a significant part of our conservancy. This spring when we went to seed, I wasn't happy with some of the stumps on the buckthorn. Mike had his crew come back out and ground the stumps. GREAT IN AN EMERGENCY! Mike and his crew showed up on a late Friday afternoon as the sun was setting to find our Honda van with a 60 foot tree on it and a Honey Locust limb on our home's roof.
