We are new to Chicago, straight outtaNY! The 1st year of a move like this one is "endless culture shock". Finding Advanced Urgent Care was one of the VERY FEW experiences that SIMPLIFIED an otherwise mind-altering first 3 months! Whoddathunk that a place w/URGENT&CARE in its name was fully set up to be our PRIMARY CARE DOCS&NURSES???!!! They ARE.And much more!!! We always phone in for actual appointments during what used to be considered " reg.business hrs" While they have insanely long OPEN hours, I try to leave those hours {between 5pm and 8am} for those inflicted with the flu, broken bones, etc. Seems as though everyone I meet in my under 10 minutes of sitting in the ~Whoa!NOT~TOO~SHABBY wait room has a favorite CAREPERSON.Mine is their most recent addition, HEIDI BUL Heidi has a very sweet and very smart personality. That's a combo I rarely find anymore! I have had to see 1 other doc there, and he was lovely. What's really impressive is the support staff! Sweetest, most respectful, thoughtful folks! Having said all of that, I *RECOMMEND THEM OFTEN,TO ANYONE I.S.O MEDICAL PEOPLE. *APPRECIATE their kindness, quality &ability to recall my nickname. *AND, WOULD DRIVE 100 MILES IF NECESSARY, TO REMAIN THEIR PATIENT.

The sign in process is somewhat of a pain so if you can plan ahead and do the paperwork online you will benefit. They ran three lab tests, strep, flu and COVID. All were negative. She had a item on one of her tonsils she wanted them to look at but they said they couldn't see it. So we left without any diagnosis or treatment. She remains ill so we suspect a bad cold. Overall I would have to say that I am not a fan. I would return though if my other options re not available, which was the case this time.

It is the Primary Care Center for Palos Community Hospital. We saw a few reviews that slam this place because of its ER center - well this place does not have an ER center. The ER is in the hospital in Palos Heights ... and once again this is not the hospital in Orland Park. With all that said, this place is a series of doctors' offices who have admitting rights at Palos Community Hospital (PCH). This place also has a Primary Care Center (PCC) staffed by PCH doctors who can treat things that don't belong in the hospital ER. Like cuts that need stitches, etc. We also brought our son here to the Immediate Care when he was dinged playing little league baseball. The facility has an x-ray capability at the other end of the building, so they can do x-ray work also. They also have a medical center where they can draw blood and samples and the like for procedures you might be having at PCH. All to say, PCC works very closely with PCH, but is not the hospital. You may find that your particular doctor has office hours here and that is very handy. We have seen a pediatrician, ophthalmologist, and skin doctor here over the years and were very satisfied. They also have a pharmacist here to fill your scrips. They also sport a rehab center where one can do their rehab under the guidance of trained professionals. Give this place a try when you don't have an immediate care need. Good place, nice staff, and many options.

Thanksgiving night, I lose my balance (give me a break, my center of gravity is a little off these…read moredays!), topple, and essentially jam the hell out of the thumb on my right hand. Ow. Ow, ow, ow, ow, OW. My husband, a firefighter/paramedic, took one look at my thumb and noticed my obvious lack of range of motion, and decreed an x-ray was in my future. Sigh. An x-ray. At, like, 8 PM on Thanksgiving? An ER visit. Really? I wasn't feeling it. Like, at all. The pain was pretty intense (and trust me, my tolerance is higher than most) so I packed up and headed to Ingalls despite my reservation about urgent aid-like places. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, the visit was smooth sailing. Color me impressed. Registration was a breeze (even though I'm right handed and my writing was, well, a little sloppy, to say the least). The nurses were great, the x-ray tech was fabulous (she double gowned me--something I greatly appreciated as I was 28 weeks pregnant at the time), the ER doc was gentle and proficient and explained everything very, very thoroughly. While the x-ray was clean (YAY for no broken bones!), the odds of a torn ligament were very, very high. The nurses braced me up and the doctor sent me off with a referral for an ortho in the area for an MRI if I wasn't entirely pain-free in a reasonable amount of time. Start to finish as far as time spent at said urgent aid facility? Roughly one hour. ONE HOUR, people. I was anticipating three times as long. Coupled with the amazing staff, quality of care received, cleanliness, etc.? I am a fan indeed. Ingalls Urgent Aid Family Care Center, you are full of win, my friend.

There was one nurse in particular that would have you thinking she used to be one of the nastiest school nurses around, or that she was too nasty of a person to be allowed to work at a school as a nurse. Pretty sad, right? I spent nearly two hours in an empty waiting room. They would not let me in with my sister while she waited for the doctor, despite her adamant requests that I come in. The nurse talked down to me, and when I'd pass the "nurse's station", I'd see the jerk reading a goddamn magazine or gossiping with the receptionist. Overall disappointing. If you need quality medical care, go to Christ Hospital or one of it's off-shoots.
