I am 70 yrs old ,Ive had many pets over my life time and have delt with many veterinarians. None were as incredible as the doctors, techs and ancillary staff at this clinic. I would like to start off that I once praised this place but then I took my yorkie there and he…read morecame back with kennel cough, no big deal, it happens but then fast forward 2 months, I took him for doggy day care and he really did not want to stay, I just felt something was wrong so upon picking him up later that afternoon I walked to the back kennel and saw my boy desperate to leave, long story short we all know our pets very well, this wasn't a "hey happy to see you" it was like a desperate plea to get him out of there, now to be fair before I point out the disgustingly dirty kennel and lack of supervisory, they leave the small dogs mostly unattended, even though my dog was attacked by a bigger frenchie and I had voiced my concerns, Today I had to rush my doggie back to the vet with a serious case of kennel cough to the point he is having trouble breathing. I will not be taking him back, ever. There is so much more to the story as I have talked to other dog parents about kennel cough at this place. Seems like a couple of other reviews mention this. I have taken him to another daycare when I lived near Elmwood Park and I have never had this issue and right away I notice that this other daycare always had someone watching the dogs at all times and their cameras always worked . Having to make the decision to put him to rest was heartbreaking, but Dr. Mini handled everything with such compassion and care. She never pressured us in any direction and was so gentle and attentive with our dog. Blood work had some unusual numbers so Dr Elia suggested an ultrasound, done the next day. That showed nodules on her spleen. The staff was so nice and called around to some places for availability and they were all far out. Dr Elia went the extra mile to reach out to a colleague she knows and they were able to get us in quickly! Our pooch is healing nicely and we are hoping biopsy results are ok. Couldn't be happier with the care, professionalism and overall service here!
