Our ancient central air unit suddenly stopped working during a 90+ degree week in South LA and we needed help asap. Checked Yelp, took a shot on Advantage. Juan was not able to get to our business for two days, till Friday, but when he got here he quickly diagnosed the problem and supplied a reasonable quote for the repair. I had prepared myself for the old "these parts are extremely hard to get, it'll take xx weeks" but Juan was able to get them for installation on Monday. Fabulous customer service personality with follow-up from start to finish. Visited our repair twice a day. Please!!!! Ask for Kyle to handle the sales portion! Installers: Pedro focused on the air conditioner. His workmanship was beyond the best. He found a worn a/c hose that needed replacing. If not found, additional work would have been needed in time. That would be additional cost. He saved the original cement block from the old a/c which we gladly used for our patio set up. He communicated the work to be done, what was done, and walked me through the new program thermostat. He is truly an asset to this company! Ernesto: Quiet and fastidious. He never missed a beat with superior workmanship and pride. He continuously used his wet/dry vacuum to keep the dust to a minimum since the furnace was in my kitchen wall. The job took 1 full day and 1/2 of the next day. At the end of each day, he would vacuum and even wiped down the walls with a spray cleaner. You'd never know this type of work had been done in my house! A very kind individual. I could go on but felt this covered it all without making it a novel. I purchased my home, with it's antique central air conditioning unit and new furnace two years ago. I chose Advantage Air based upon their YELP ratings, and they have exceeded my service expectations. I have a technician come out spring and fall to inspect/ tune-up either the AC or furnace, and I find the technicians to be professional, thorough and honest. Juan is generally the technician that I receive, and I appreciate the consistency, as he is familiar with my units now, and takes the time to answer my many questions. As a side note, I carry an appliance and systems warranty for my home, and would rather have Advantage Air diagnose the issue and provide a price quote before calling the warranty company. I called Advantage Air Heating & AC simply because of their reputation and quality of service. Recently, my AC stopped blowing cold air. I googled some remedies but more than likely I was going to need AC tech. I spoke with Milan Chawla and assured me that he would get one of his guys to my home as quick as possible. Not only did the tech inspect my AC, he also did a thorough cleaning in my furnace. He noticed a simple mesh screen (filter) and highly advised a standard filter to be used. Did it. My AC's compressor had blown out and it was replaced. I also had a tune-up performed on it as well as my furnace. Unlike Long Beach Heating and Air (who failed to show for 2 scheduled appointments) Eric with Advantage Air showed up! Eric came out for the first appointment to diagnose, I was hoping for an easy fix but the transformer needed to be replaced. He was able to get the part rather quickly for a holiday week and was back out to replace it at a time that was convenient for me (which I appreciated, particularly since I had already taken time off from work for the no show flakey afore mentioned company twice ). Eric was thorough in his diagnostics and knew fairly quickly what the problem was. Another great thing about Advantage Air, they apply the diagnostic fee towards the cost of the repair which is helpful if you're trying to save money. Eric just replaced the transformer and I'm happy to say we have heat again!! Yay! Eric is knowledgeable, personable and efficient. My relationship with Advantage Air started in April 2018. When the furnace at my rental property needed servicing, my property manager suggested her vendor. Turned out that the person she had always dealt with had left the company, and the owner quoted an exorbitant fee to do the job. After my research and several phone calls later, I selected Advantage Air. Their frontline staff is top-notch, whether Stacy or Jessica. We had the furnace serviced on a Saturday, and Juan arrived promptly and did the job. The price charged was excellent! It was not because of the furnace servicing that warrants the 5 stars for Advantage Air. Here is where I would like to segue to why Advantage Air deserves 5 stars in my book. In mid-August, my tenant contacted me because the A/C was not functioning properly. There was air coming out, but it wasn't cold at all. I arranged for Advantage Air to go out for a diagnosis. Juan was dispatched again, on a Saturday. It was a fruitless trip as it turned out the A/C unit was housed way up high on the rooftop (townhouse complex). It would require at least a 30' ladder to get up there. Advantage Air did not permit that kind of work. Understandably so; it is a huge liability. Later, I found out that there was a safer way to access the A/C unit, through one of the neighbor's attic. Arrangements were made, and Advantage Air (Juan) came out again. It wasn't meant to be yet again. The attic hatch leading to the rooftop was sealed completely shut with putty all around it. Juan attempted to force it open, but it wouldn't budge. Yet another wasted trip to add to the books. When we found out that there was a boom lift that could transport a service provider to the rooftop, I embarrassingly called Advantage Air a third time. Juan was willing to come out again, but unfortunately, their insurance policy did not provide coverage for such an endeavor. Through all of this ordeal, I have to commend Advantage Air for their professionalism. They never complained, never had an attitude, and never uttered the need for any nominal payment, even if the service was not performed. And this is why they deserve the 5 stars! read more

First impression starts with who greets and assists you on the phone...Nancy was extremely courteous, positive, most helpful with listening to our needs and providing helpful details on the right service and scheduling...As well as follow up calls to confirm appointment and, on day of service, the time when the technician (name provided) would arrive with 10 minutes or less...Nice! Our technician, Juan, was equally outstanding. His easy smile and approachable demeanor was welcoming. He viewed our HVAC system (We had our HVAC system papers ready for his review.) before starting his hands on maintenance inspection. Though our system was only a year old, he showed how to access the attic heater filter and, while checking the burners for proper flows, discovered some excess metal pieces that were blocking one burner's flow that was diverting fire in the direction of critical wiring...Whew!, glad he found that in time before to avert unnecessary problems (Note: Original installer from a different company did not properly clear away then unused metal pieces.)...Thank you Juan for your "catching" this with your expertise. With our new HVAC service package (saving a bit with their coupon), my wife and I look forward to hearing Nancy's greeting again while requesting Juan to return for our air conditioning system check up this summer. I own a home in Fullerton, and needed a new air conditioner since it's been incredibly hot these past few weeks. My old AC was 20 plus years old and it finally went out on me leaving me and my roommates sweating in our sleep. I researched, made some calls, and found four different companies to give me a quote for a new AC unit. Two companies came out to my home and actually gave me a quote, one company gave me a quote over the phone and the other said they were going to come by my home to give me a quote but never showed up. I was able to then narrow it down to two companies. The first company (shall remain nameless) came out, and I never got a good feeling about the sales representative. Their warrantee was only two years, and tried to get me to sign up for their credit line instead of paying cash for the AC and installation. An Advantage Air consultant came to my house and I was very impressed by the professionalism and tact he used when entering my house, and talking to someone who knows nothing about air conditioners. I never felt pressured and he even gave my dog some doggie treats which I thought was super random that he had it, but pretty cool that he did. I ended up going with Advantage Air and was also impressed with the installers/electricians. They came right when they said they would, 8am on Tuesday, so I just worked from home that day. They finished in a few hours and were gone by noon. I thought it was amazing, and was able to go back to the office after they left. I had an issue with my AC unit where the motor was getting power but the fan wasn't kicking in and no air flowing through the house. I called advantage air and they sent a tech out the next day. They checked the unit (which is 25+ years old and never been serviced). All of the electronic components had seen better days and he refurbished all of them. It wasn't cheap, but a lot less than what I was expecting. The tech was very friendly and explained everything in detail. He showed me the issues with the parts he replaced and was able to do so rather quickly. A month later, the owner calls me to let me know they had a special running at the time that the tech was unaware of. He credited me back the difference. That is excellent customer service! Most companies would just keep it and nobody would be the wiser. I highly recommend them if you need HVAC service or repair! read more

My family and I had a great experience working with these guys. We first called in because of an airflow issue we were experiencing, but upon checking our system out Juan let us know there was asbestos and issues with the ductwork. We were not aware of the asbestos so we were glad to know about it. Juan was just amazing from start to finish. He was patient with us as we were figuring out if would fit in our budget and worked with us throughout the process during financing as well.
