    I had a fantastic experience with Thomson Air. I needed a repair on my system, because it was turning on and off during literally the hottest week of the year. We inherited our system from the last homeowner, so we really had no idea what the issue was or how to go about fixing it. I had 2 other companies try to check out the problem, and 1 tried to re-do my whole HVAC system for 15k, and another never arrived when I scheduled an appt. Thomson felt like our last hope, and the technician Tom showed up, found the problem immediately, and fixed the issue in less than 15 minutes. It was just a simple clogged pipe that he needed to clean out. He also gave me a quick lesson as to how to prevent the issue in the future. It's hard to find honest people who want to actually fix a problem vs sell you something you didn't ask for. I'm happy I came across them, and the issue has finally been resolved!

    Now, full disclosure, been using thomson for 3 years now and I have to say, the people are great. Professional and polite. They are pricey but I was ok with that because they've been doing a good job and I was happy with their level of services. I have introduced this company to 3 of my friends and family. I will be sharing this review with them as well. That being said, I recently purchased a new home and despite the company my agent recommended, I decided to hire thomson to do a close inspection on the hvac system. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE. I made the inspection a week out and since we had to coordinate with the seller, I called 3 times throughout the week to confirm the time, EMPHASIZED that I was purchasing a new home and that this inspection was crucial to me. I also emphasize that thomson had to make it during the time frame as the seller was going to be leaving the house. I trusted them because they've been on time every other appointment. Needless to say, they were late. On top of that, they sent a newly trained employee for inspection. Now, I do not believe just because you're new, doesn't mean you're not qualified but that being said, I specifically requested someone more experienced. Regardless of what I said, there they were, the new employee to quote me for what is a huge purchase. Oh and due to the late arrival, the seller, of course, came back home. Embarrassing and unprofessional. Once the inspection was completed, there were some confusions around the quotation. I spoke to the technician twice and then the service manager once who all confirmed that the quotation was THE ONLY thing I needed. So the quotation was submitted for negotiation. Now, the house has been closed, done deal, I hired thomson to come perform all the services that was quoted and I found out on the day of the service that my duct work is falling apart. They initially insisted that the duct work happened to start falling apart after the inspection in which I had to go back to the original inspection report and found all the pictures. Then they said they were going to be providing a "competitive quote" where they literally quoted me more than double of what my "final quotation". Then to add the cherry on top, they were going to give me $500 off for my "inconvenience". This is all going to be costing me out of pocket now but do they care? Nope. Because Im just one customer and what was important to me was not important to them. They just provide a service and they do not own up to their mistakes. I found someone to fix everything for half the price by another company in half a day. Don't waste your money, go with someone else.

    We had a great experience with Thomson AC. Brandon came out to do the estimate and gave us a very thorough quote that showed how thorough and knowledgeable they were. Flexible alternatives for payment, and not at all pushy or steering us toward more expensive options. The price was very reasonable overall. When it came time to do the actual install, James and Fayco were the main two installers and worked in parallel on the inside and outside portions. They laid our protective tarps to reduce the mess and protect the floors. They kept us updated as they were progressing and gave us a run through after showing us what to look out for. We were fortunate that their office/shop was close to our home as whoever a part didn't fit or they needed extra hardware, they put a call in and 10 minutes later another Thomson AC employee came by with the part that was needed. They tested the system for us, made sure it met specs, and were very efficient in doing the work. They stated a bit before 8am and finished about 3:30pm or so. This was for a Bosch heat pump and ADP air handler. The work is nearly done and everything very professional looking. This was our second time using them. Both great experiences!

    A few days ago, we experienced a power outage, and my air conditioner stopped blowing air. After…read morereading several reviews, I decided to have this company come and check my unit. I was informed that the diagnostic fee would be $89, which would be credited toward any necessary repairs or services. Devin came out to assess the situation. He discovered that a fuse was burned and replaced it. He also checked the AC capacitor and noted that it should be within 5% of 12.5 volts, but it was slightly lower, so he recommended replacing it. He quoted me $169 for the service and the capacitor. While checking the unit, he mentioned that another capacitor on the roof also needed to be replaced, quoting $285 for that part. Additionally, he clarified that the $169 service fee did not include the cost of the indoor capacitor, which would be an extra $165. I found this pricing quite unusual and expressed my concern, to which he replied that these parts are generally expensive. The total came to $589, but Devin said he provided a discount, bringing it down to $500. I asked him to leave the old capacitors for me to inspect. After doing some research online, I found that one capacitor was priced under $20 and the other slightly above that amount. I have included pictures for your reference. Essentially, the initial issue was a burnt fuse, and the two capacitors were replaced because they were old and potentially damaging to the unit in the future. However, the pricing for these parts feels dishonest. I had read many positive reviews about this company, particularly praising Shawn's honesty, so I am left feeling disappointed. It's disheartening to think that in our community, some may take advantage of others simply because they can. I believe we should treat each other with respect and integrity, especially when it comes to services we provide and receive. Unfortunately, my experience here has led me to feel that my trust was misplaced. I would not recommend this company; integrity is not something you can sell. AC unit is working all right as it did before.

Kirk was FANTASTIC! Our unit is 20 years old, we have never really had regular maintenance on it. He showed up super early (they asked if that was okay, and YES thank you). Before he arrived they sent a text with his name and photo. I absolutely love this! That extra safety is so important. Kirk looked at our unit and asked some questions. He explained all they do with the "family plan" so we signed up. I am one of those that needs to be reminded of scheduled upkeep so this is perfect. He gave us the estimate before he started and I asked for a very rough estimate of a new unit (having no idea) so we decided to go with repair and hope for the best. The repair wasn't cheap but considering all the work that needed to be done as well as it being an older unit, I feel it was a very fair price. I think we did have the best with Kirk. He was able to repair our unit and give it some much needed TLC for our AC unit and furnace. He even installed our pre-purchased thermostat! Kirk was polite and considerate. He took time to answer all of our questions and ensured us that we could reach out with any questions, I believe him. Service people can often be rushed, there is a lot of work out there, but not Kirk. He didn't waste time either, I felt like he was in and out in no time at all. By the time he left we understood all that was done and what we need to do to get some additional service from our current unit. I could not be happier with the call I made this morning. I picked the right people to call!

    Received a mailer of a "pre-paid" heating/furnace tune up & a water heater sediment flush…read more My heater recently went out so I called them out. They sent another company, I didn't get any "pre-paid" service but was quoted $3,300+ to fix it. I was graciously offered a short term fix for $1,000+ and charged $89.00 for coming out. Bait & switch, I'll get my heater fixed by another company.
