His mannerisms are professional and his recommendations have thus far proven to be completely on point. And if that wasn't enough, every member of the team is wonderful, and it feels like a visit with friends more than a visit to the dentist. Additionally, I look forward to my visits with the hygienist (Dr. Laurel) because she genuinely cares for not only the health of my teeth, but my overall well-being. I told them in no uncertain terms that I had NO money and that all I had was dental insurance (primary and secondary). I was assured that barring any complications, it would be covered by both my insurance companies. So they took an imprint and ordered my dentures. When I got the call that my dentures were ready, I returned and they proceeded to pull my remaining teeth (not many left after Crohns disease) and insert my new dentures. During this, Petersen hardly said 2 words. No courtesy, no smiles, no compassion. He was as animated as a rock. On my way out I was told I owed them $400. When we started the game of "but" ... they said it was unforeseen costs back at the lab. (They would provide me with no proof of that) When I told them I didn't have $400, Gail (the office manager ... and what a piece of work SHE is) went straight for the jugular. She stated that she would attach my income. No: "Let's see if we can work something out" or "Can you make monthly payments?" ... nothing. I advised her the only income I have is $900 a month in SS Disability. With that she LAUGHED and stated she was an "expert" at attaching SS Disability. I asked to talk to Dr. Petersen and Gail informed me that she would not allow me to do so. I had to borrow $400 and even to this day, they have kept my molds and will NOT allow me to have them. Stay away at all costs. I'm not the only one that has been a victim of Petersen's bait and switch. Watch out for evil that is named Gail.

I let them know he did as well--it was the entire point of us going there, but it I didn't say that. The receptionist said okay she'd call us but it's been six months and the only communication from them has been a happy birthday email. Why would they accept us as new patients if they don't even have capacity to provide services? I can't help but feel like some judgement was made to deem us unworthy customers. I'd also like to note that I've been on OHP (Medicaid) for a while so I'm used to having health issues ignored and getting subpar care from providers, which has not been the case here. After several trips back, they still didn't get it right. We gave up working with them after the 4th fitting. Now my mom has uppers that look like Buckie Beaver and lowers that fit so poorly that she sounds like she has marbles in her mouth when she speaks. Forget about chewing food with either! She is back to using her old upper that may break any time, and going without lowers. To top it off, we have asked for an adjustment in price, ie a refund, over and over yet they still bill my mom for the products and services that she can not use. At one point they gave her a $90 refund, and now they are billing her for that refund! Nice as the staff is, save yourself a lot of heartache and go elsewhere! Update 7/25/20. We were contacted by Advantage Dental after this review. They gave my mom a partial refund of the price of her dentures. While she would have rather had usable dentures , we are satisfied that they at least returned some of her money.

The staff were great with our kids (more patient than their parents, perhaps). Also, they sent us home with very nice new patient "swag bags." Drs. Dr. Parsley, however, is a big part of the reason that even though I'm a full-grown woman, I cry every time I need dental work. I went to Dr. Parley a few times, and it was awkward every time. He would make inappropriate jokes and I dreaded going. Then, the final time I went to him, I had to get some fillings, and he had a hard time numbing me up. Instead of realizing after the first try that I would need more lidocaine than the average person, he tried drilling into my not fully numbed tooth FOUR times! I was in agony! His response: "Patients like you are the reason there is such a high suicide rate among dentists." I never went back. Thankfully, I have found a different dentist who actually cares about her patients and doesn't have a problem getting me numbed up. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Parsley unless you are looking for a sleezy dentist guaranteed to make you hate going to the dentist for years to come.
