When you pay for the DMV Test they let you use their car for the actual dmv test?

Yes. If you sign up for our DMV Test we pick you up 1 hour before your scheduled test time, give you a one hour brush up lesson, then take you to the DMV office and wait while you take the test in our vehicle.

We were willing to pay additional funds to help our daughter competently manage the responsibility of a car. We paid for 82 hours of lessons beginning 6/18/25 to 10/18/25. All of our payments were made directly by request to Mack (real name: Mohsen Khaziri) and not Beverly Driving School. The number on his website is his cell phone. Mohsen was aware our daughter had learning disabilities and we were convinced he had the training and skills to help someone like her. Knowing that he was a father gave us even more confidence that she would get the security she needed. And the fact that we invested a significant sum of money is a testimony to our commitment to get her the help she needed. On our initiative, my wife and I did ride-alongs with Mack and our daughter because we put our trust in him as a professional. When our daughter started giving us feedback that her motivation for continuing was lacking, we didn't take it too seriously since it's been a challenge for her to stick with things. Later, we realized the discomfort wasn't the process but was with Mack. Our daughter told us she was touched inappropriately on multiple occasions. He repeatedly asked to meet with her outside of lessons and requested it be kept secret. I confronted Mack by phone on 10/18/25 and after asking directly, he acknowledged viewing pictures of her on her phone. I also asked him directly about touching her thigh and he said yes - apparently because she moved her seat too far forward. Lastly, I asked him if he had ever behaved inappropriately and he denied it. He did not apologize for any of this but changed the subject to her upcoming driving test. My wife and I have taken further steps with the police about this. We filed police report P25-291-0621 with SJPD Officer D. Tran #5131. He took advantage of a person with learning disabilities and it doesn't matter what age. It was one of the most deplorable things one can do. It was done from a position of immaturity and he could have told us this was going on but he didn't say a word. We do not want this behavior to be repeated with anyone else. In addition, at the end of summer, Mack also asked us for a significant cash advance because he "needed it". We refused. I also repeatedly asked for billing statements and after repeated entreaties, received a hastily typed word document. I'm still waiting for a summarized statement of our lessons.

The course was informative, interesting, and well laid out. My son was able to navigate and complete the process totally on his own. He only missed one on the final practice test and feels well prepared and ready to take the DMV permit exam. The icing on the cake, though, was the great customer service we received when we found ourselves in a bind and the local manager went above and beyond to assist us in dealing with a time sensitive issue. However, it didn't take long for us to realize how warm, professional, and thoughtfully run this daycare really is. At first, we did have a small concern that the number of children seemed a bit high compared to the number of teachers. However, during our meeting, the staff clearly explained that the daycare strictly follows California's teacher-to-child ratio regulations. After spending some time here and observing how experienced and capable the teachers are, we quickly felt reassured. It became clear that the team knows exactly how to manage and guide the children in a calm and structured way. One thing that really stands out is Perl's leadership. She is very hands-on and actively involved. She organizes events and is often outside observing the children while they play. If she notices any inappropriate behavior, she steps in immediately and gently corrects it in a calm, professional, and patient manner. As a parent, it is incredibly reassuring to see someone guiding the children so thoughtfully. Another detail we truly appreciate is that the director's office is intentionally located along the drop-off and pick-up walkway. Because of this, we frequently see Perl or the assistant director, Marissa, when dropping off or picking up our child. We can easily say hello, have friendly conversations, and talk about how our child is doing. At some daycares, if you ask the director about your child, they might just tell you to ask the classroom teacher. Here, that's not the case. She understands that every family has different backgrounds and situations, and she approaches each child with patience and care. Under Perl's leadership, the teachers are incredibly kind and caring with the children. Each teacher has their own style, which we really appreciate. Some are firm when needed, while still being warm and sweet with the kids. I was especially impressed when I read one teacher's profile card explaining her philosophy that every child has a different personality and should therefore be guided in different ways. That level of thoughtfulness really stood out to me. Other many teachers also show a very genuine love for the children and treats them almost like their own. The outdoor play area is also fantastic. In the afternoon, it naturally gets shaded, which helps the kids stay comfortable even during warmer days. The staff are also very attentive to the weather and will bring the children indoors when it gets too hot. The daycare also does a wonderful job celebrating diversity. There are many family participation events, such as St. Patrick's Day celebrations, that reflect different cultures and backgrounds. In addition, the children participate in daily educational activities that support their development. You can really see the experience and thoughtful structure behind their curriculum. In addition, the daycare offers extra activity classes such as dancing, soccer, and baseball. These are wonderful programs that give the children opportunities to stay active, explore different interests, and simply have fun while learning new skills. They also offer a monthly "Parent Night" on Friday evenings. For a small additional fee, they care for the kids until around 10 PM, giving parents a little breathing room. The kids enjoy movie nights and fun group activities organized by the teachers, and our daughter always comes home excited after these evenings. We feel very lucky to have found this daycare. If we have a second child, we would absolutely choose to bring them here again without hesitation. For parents who may still be deciding where to send their child, I completely understand how difficult that decision can be. Choosing a daycare is one of the most important choices for your family. All the teachers--not just our daughter's--are so gentle and caring. It means so much that they all greet her by name and even come out of their rooms to say goodbye. The facilities are clean, and we love how much time the kids get to spend in the big outdoor play area. All the kids seem happy and well cared for. The administration is also top-notch. When we had a paperwork issue initially, the director went above and beyond for over a month to get it resolved, providing regular updates along the way (thank you Ms. Pearl!) Part1: Instructor Long is experienced and effective. I had one lesson with him, and have already scheduled the next two sessions! During the first session, he quickly identified the areas that I need to improve upon and provided detailed, to-the-point instructions. His instruction style is amicable but well-organized. Price and availability wise, it is definitely worth it. They are relatively more flexible than other schools, one to two weeks ahead of time is acceptable. Some other schools have a one month ahead booking policy, which can be sometimes challenging. Highly recommend it! Part 2: I got my driver's license card TODAY! And I am updating this long-overdue exit review for instructor Long. I had another session with him on July 6, which was also the date of my behind the wheel test. During that day, Long helped me going over the lessons taught before, and graded me as I drive around. In this case, I could improve on the spot, with immediate results. He started out by letting me not only remember but also drive with those key points; and he was extremely meticulous in terms of covering every possible little detail that I might run into during a driving test; thirdly, he helped me tremendously in keeping my nervousness at bay so that I stayed calm with full confidence getting into my car to take the test. Guess what, I passed with only 3 points off! Thank you, amazing instructor Long! Last but not least, for passing the driving test, just keep practicing daily while remembering the key lessons taught by your instructor (hopefully you got Long). I wish y'all best luck! read more

An absolutely fantastic experience. Let me preface this review with a bit of background. I'm a fairly lazy seventeen year old teenager who's had next to no experience with driving aside from maybe once or twice in a parking lot when I was younger. The key word in that sentence? Lazy. However, in my glorious sloth, I still felt the urge to relay my experience to the community with this driving school. My instructor was Dan Padilla, and let me just say, this guy actually made driving fun. I mean, I've seen tons of television shows and movies where the reluctant teenager goes to the driving school and the teacher is boring or unresponsive or kind of inhuman, but Dan was the absolute pinnacle of the opposite in all cases. My first lesson with him, he was very understanding of my lacking experience in driving (as a teacher should be), but more importantly, he explained Blind Spots better than either of my parents or friends could when I had previously asked them. He was supportive and very forgiving of my originally rough stops, which is a good thing because originally there were quite a few of them. A brief digression, I've got to say that under Dan's instruction I actually saw drastic improvement with not only my driving skills, but my confidence as well (not to the point of over-confidence, but to the point where I feel that I can merge instead of being crippled by fear). Dan seamlessly merged conversation with driving instruction, creating both an informative and fun experience and I cannot recommend either Advantage Driving School or Dan Padilla as an instructor highly enough. read more

Gilberto Mercado, Noel Estillore, Jose Velasco, and Michael Alcala - each of them brought their unique strengths to the table, making the learning experience not only thorough but also enjoyable. Gilberto had a remarkable ability to break down complex concepts into easy-to-understand steps, ensuring I grasped everything clearly. Noel's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to ensuring I was fully prepared for the test truly paid off. Michael's patient and encouraging approach was invaluable, especially when I felt nervous or unsure. Jose's clear instructions and practical advice made navigating the roads and understanding the rules seem like a breeze. I have been driving for about a year with a permit before I signed up for advantage. I felt very comfortable upon meeting my first instructor Dan. He explained everything we would be doing and also took the time to learn how much experience I've had. I thought this was so professional and immediately I felt at ease. the second day of my lesson Dan showed me how to merge on the freeway. this was my first time on the freeway and I was very nervous but the little tricks he showed me and the advice he gave me were EXCELLENT! we spent about 15 mins learning to change lanes and getting me used to the freeway flow. I am so confident now on the freeway because of Dan's great advice. The day of my behind the wheel test I had a different instructor take me named Jeff. I had no problem with this because I already felt confident with advantage. right away Jeff made me feel at ease at very comfortable. he was very friendly and gave very positive feedback. he picked me up an hour before and went over the things they might test me on. come test time I was very very confident because of advantage and I passed! I'm encouraging all my friends and family to use advantage driving school because the customer service is incredible and amazing! they make you feel like a friend rather a student or client. I am not from the US and am staying here for a few months, wasn't able to finish my driving lessons in Holland. So I decided to get them here, it took me three times to pass the exam but that definitely wasn't because of Advantage. I took the adult driving lessons which is a total of 6 hours and it was worth every penny, all the instructors I met are just awesome. I started out with Erin who is great of making you feel comfortable driving, and takes you over all of the basics. My second lesson was with Hassel he is perfect for preparing you for the test, he does 3 practice tests while you are in the car and he is just as hard on you as the DMV. This makes it perfect to get yourself prepared for that exam. In the end I rented the car for the test through the school and Carl took me there, he was great in making me feel comfortable. The only thing you need besides Advantage is a nice examiner. A few tips for getting your license quickly: 1. If your appointment for the driving test is a long wait. Login to the DMV site at night and see if someone cancelled a earlier appointment. 2. Avoid the Santa Clara DMV it is crowded and the examiners are horrible. 3. I just wanted to thank Erin for an Excellent job well done. She is truly amazing. My son was really concerned about getting an instructor that he would not understand due to the language barriers here in California. He was raised in South Carolina and is a English speaker. Erin is very knowledgeable and communicates well with her students. She makes the student driver feel at ease and comfortable for the optimum learning experience. Erin is punctual and dependable. She keeps the parents informed on the progress the student driver is making and ways the parents can help. Erin provides positive feedback and improvement techniques to the student driver to create an encouraging learning environment . She is always a phone call away if you have any questions or concerns. On the day of my sons behind the wheel test he witness several drivers that failed their test. My daughter had a wonderful experience working with Advantage. The ease of scheduling our appointments online and the ability to access feedback was fantastic, great job Advantage! Noel was prompt to the scheduled sessions, he was was very descriptive at to what was going to be covered before the sessions began and followed up just the same after the lesson was completed. His very professional and calm demeanor about him makes him an excellent instructor. I mean, being a parent in the passenger's seat isn't the most relaxing position anyone would ever put themselves in...it's downright suicide! Hahahaha...he wouldn't say but you could just see the relief in his eyes when they would return from their drive. Hahahahaha....just kidding, Noel never broke character, but smiled kindly just the same. I'm glad he mentioned the subtle minor thing my daughter needed to work on and in recognizing them help me to affirm to my daughter, that I wasn't just being overly cautious (wiping the sweat off my brows). Advantage driving is an incredible driving school for teenagers looking to complete their 6 hours of behind the wheel. Advantage Driving are quick responders and return your phone call within a day or two, they are very flexible to accommodate your schedule. They are affordable and provide excellent service. My instructor was Erin and she was amazing. She is highly knowledgeable and taught me tricks for my drivers test. She is very patient and explains things clearly, she is able to answer any kind of question you may have, and she makes sure her students feel safe driving. I never had a problem with her and I truly enjoyed learning from her. You should request her because she does a great job at making sure you know everything you are suppose to. During your training she communicates with her students to get them comfortable talking while driving and this is very important since the majority of us are teenagers and are going to begin driving with our friends. Signed my son up for 12 hours of driving lesson plus the driving test session. Everyone was wonderful and helpful, especially Joy who would assisted me in making all the appointments for my son as well as scheduling the driving test appointment. Our instructor was Carl and we was wonderful. Always arrived early or on time. He told me a about my sons progress and that he was doing good. He even told me that my son was ready to take the test after the first 6 hours of driving, That was great to hear. But i just wanted to have more practice and information for my son. After we completed the 12 hours of driving, Joy gave me info so that i could schedule the driving test appointment. I called her back the and we scheduled the behind the wheel test. Carl picked up my son early they practiced for an hour and the they took the test! My son passed and i was so happy. Thank you Carl and Joy for making this such a successful and pleasant adventure. Let me begin by saying that Beth is a miracle worker. I had been a life-long transit enthusiast, so realizing that I needed to get my license at the age of 30 was pretty much terrifying. Having moved to the States from Canada not long ago, I also didn't have anyone to practice with, so I was convinced I was doomed to fail my test at least a few times before I could drive. Luckily, I got Beth. The best thing about Beth is how much fun she makes driving. She takes all the fear out of it, even when you make mistakes, and makes it something you look forward to doing. Beth is patient, friendly, and an outstanding driver -- she can drive better backwards from the passenger seat than I can forwards in the driver's seat. She also makes sure you know your stuff -- I went from never having driven to passing my test on the first try, only a month and a half later, with six lessons. So if you're going to Advantage Driving School, definitely ask for Beth, you will not regret it! :D read more

I recently relocated to California from Massachusetts. In my 15 years in MA I never needed to drive and never bothered to get a driver's license. A month before my move I had 17 hours of driving lessons with a school in the greater Boston area but did not really feel comfortable behind the wheel. Once I arrived in California I signed up for lessons with Advantage driving school. I had all my lessons with Tai. He was very calm and extremely patient. He also explained things very carefully and he carefully designed the lessons so I got repeated practice working on the areas of weakness he identified. After just a few lessons with Tai I started to feel very comfortable behind the wheel. He really worked on my weak spots and got me to a point where I now feel I can handle any situations that may arise on the road - be it local roads or highway. Michael Alcala is, without question, the most reliable and effective driving instructor I could have asked for. He has the calm confidence of someone who truly knows what he's doing, and it shows in the way he teaches. I would compare him to Tom Cruise in the sense that he is always composed, completely in control, and fully committed to making sure you succeed! Hey you guys out there, if you want to take driving lessons whether your a newbie or mature drivers, I am recommending you LONG!!!! This guy is very pleasant and have a wonderful personality. He will make you feel comfortable and guide you in every way he can. I am a mature driver and somehow I lost confidence because it's been like 15 years or more that I never drive back home in my country. When I got my permit here I am very scared to practice to drive. I took 2 lessons at advantage but with 2 different people . They are good too. However , when I met Long, seems like I found the real deal. He corrected every mistake and always reminding me the most important points in order to pass the actual driving test. I learned a lot from him and gained more confidence . I attended their driver's education course held in a classroom setting, which was not behind-the-wheel training, but covered everything you needed to know to pass your driver's knowledge exam at the DMV. Adrian Vo was THE BEST. He kept the whole class (of over 100, mind you) interested in the topics covered, and kept us all enjoying the class. He detailed what specific things the DMV would be looking for, and incorporated many of his own experiences when it came to several things you should worry about such as insurance, simple car servicing you can do yourself, what you should do if an officer stops you, DUIs, and what is required of you if you get into an accident. He has an amazing sense of humor, and was honest. He was amazing and everyone loved him! What a great job he did, because a majority of the class passed the "final exam" we did on the last day of class. read more

Took Gilberto M. as my instructor. Overall, I had fun. I learned new things I haven't learned from my parents. I had learned bad habits from my friends this whole time when I realized my instructor told me very specific things to do when making right turns especially on a red light. He even showed me several demonstrations himself when it didn't "click" for me. I'm more of a visual learner and I'm glad I was able to see what he was doing so that I could emulate it myself after. He never got annoyed or raised his voice at me but instead laughed it off when I did something wrong. He told me he laughs when he gets nervous so I guess that's better than yelling. I have always been nervous of driving, but at 22 years old I decided it was high time for me to learn how as It is an essential skill I had to learn. This place has been amazing for me in finally getting my driver's license. I have never driven a car outside of a parking lot when I started my first lesson with Adrian and I learned a lot on how to operate a car in that first lesson. I had 2 other lessons with him as well and they were all fantastic. I also had one lesson with Anton who took me out to the highway, which is what I wanted in that lesson. For my DMV test I had Long who really helped me pass my test the first try with important information and skills in the brush up before the test. Our only problem with Advantage is they did not show up for the very first lesson after making an appointment by phone a few weeks before. We gave them a call and they somehow missed our scheduled lesson (we didn't get a text reminder the day before); no big deal, we just made an appointment for the following week. You will get a text reminder from Advantage the day before your lesson. If you don't get a text, then you should call them to make sure there wasn't a mix-up with your appointment. Taylor and Noel are both excellent instructors; they were patient, helpful, and attentive during the entire lesson. I highly recommend making your appointment with either of them! Passed the driving test at ST DMV with 0 errors on the first try thanks to them! read more

I have taken 4 lessons total with Advantage Driving. Very first lesson was with Elizabeth last year. She was super nice, patient and helpful when I needed pointers. The last 2 lessons were with Leisa. She made the experience so comfortable, warm and relaxing. She was super patient and when pointing out mistakes/concerns, she did it in such a way that I didn't feel stupid or inexperienced. My final lesson was today, along with my dmv test-in which instructor takes the student and they use the Advantage Driving School car for the dmv test-again with Leisa. I had a wonderful experience with Advantage Driving School! I had Beth as my instructor and I can't imagine passing without our lessons. She is extremely good at what she does, and she diligently prepares you for the road. She breaks you out of the bad habits you might have picked up driving on your own with your parents or whoever else and consistently reinforces the safe and correct ways. I would also especially recommend having a final lesson a day before your exam if possible since everything will be fresh in your head. I was referred to Advantage Driving School through a couple of friends, and was fortunately set up with Krystal as my driving instructor. From my first lesson, Krystal made me feel comfortable and at ease while sitting behind the wheel. She answered all my questions and gave me many tips on what I should be doing to not only pass my test, but be a safe and well rounded driver. She always reminded me of what I should be doing while driving and taught me everything I needed to know. Not only was I able to pass my test because of Krystal, but I also passed with zero errors on my first try.
