My first experience with this company was great. Months later I needed a job done so I called and the receptionist gave me the email of Dan who I was supposed to contact for the job. I waited 10 days with no word back on the email from either Dan or the receptionist who I cc'd. So, I called back again and spoke to Chad. Chad said he would let Dan know so he could get back in touch with me. After waiting several more days with no word back, I called again and spoke to Chad again. Chad, once again said he would let Dan know to get in touch with me. I asked if there was a manager I could speak to about my experience and Chad informed me there wasn't technically a manager, but Dan was a co-owner and he would be the person to take this up with. The problem is I can never get ahold of Dan... I asked if I could talk to the other owner, Robert, and Chad said no and that he could not give his info out. As a business owner myself, the problem is obvious: broken systems of follow-up and communication + bad customer service. As a loyal client of this company I gave them multiple opportunities to at the very least respond back. Chad mentioned one of the reasons Dan may not have gotten back was because he may not have been interested in the job. I would have really liked to know that so I didn't waste so much time! These guys are prompt and professional, but too expensive. I needed an electrician to run power for a hybrid water heater. I looked around a bit and found these guys through a quick internet search. A quick call had them coming the next morning. The electrician came out during the time the appointment setter indicated and quickly assessed the project and gave me a cost. After agreeing to terms, he set to work and finished up by 1:00. He even helped me unload my water heater when I brought it home. The work was very well done as well. My only quibble is the price. 3 hours of work and maybe $100 in materials shouldn't add up to $750. Maybe that is the going rate, but it just seemed a bit high. We just had Zachary and Advantage electric replace the knob and tube wiring in the attic of our older home and upgrade a bunch of outlets and some other smaller things. What impressed me the most was how great the communication was! I got updated daily as to the arrival time and Zach kept me informed on issues he was seeing and addressing as the job went along. Oh...and their bid was nearly half of what another electrician gave a few weeks earlier! The office staff was friendly and prompt in sending receipts and communicating with the field staff. Great service to repair a botched circuit breaker job in my older house with mixed wiring. I got a quick appointment, Clayton came out and within a few minutes had my problem resolved and repaired. Because it was such a quick fix, I got a break on the diagnostic fee. He was friendly, gave me some good tips and didn't even mind my very nosy collie puppy exploring his equipment bag. Clayton came out to have a quick chat with me about our electrical problems. He did a quick walk through was very kind and professional scheduled a time for an electrician to come out a few days later. Lee came out the following Monday and was so great! We lost power in the entire front of our house and had a few other problems he checked out. He was here for a while and inspected everything and fixed the problems! We now have electric working and feel safe in our home. Prices are fantastic it was a flat fee for everything no surprises and he took the time to explain everything to us even gave us some advise on options for our bathroom fan and central fan system. We had Advantage Electric rewire my 1930 home I had just purchased. We knew it had some knob and tube wiring but we did not know how much. Brian was our electrician and he turn the house upside down to get all the wiring through the attic and wall, fishing it in and out through walls ,ceiling , floor, and attic. I got so much information during the process and Brian came up with different options and ideas during the project. His communication was excellent and he would keep me updated daily on his progress. I felt very comfortable with his knowledge that I can trust on and go with his recommendations. We had other bids but his bid was reasonable and he listed other options that would fit our budget. I contracted with Advantage Electric for kitchen remodel. I worked with Lee in Vancouver, WA. Advantage Electric quickly responded to my request for a quote. Lee came to my house and assessed my remodel and electrical needs. He was professional and thorough and anticipated many of my needs. He was good to clarify my wants/needs and he offered suggestions for ideas I want have wanted to incorporate into the remodel. Once the remodel began, Lee came to the house twice to accommodate the needs of the cabinet installer. He rewired switches and outlets to accommodate changes to the floor plan, and he used electrical boxes that would adjust to the thickness of newly installed tile or wallboard. We've had the guys from Advantage Electric come out a handful of times to do some additions and repairs around the house. The first couple visits were to install new outlets and the job was done quick and easily. The next job was much a much larger install of an entire floor's worth of outlets and lights and switches. Over a couple days the guys did a great job and got everything up and running in no time. Our contractors were so impressed by the clean and professional install that they grabbed a few business cards. Most recently they came out to repair a broken switch in our daughter's room - which was heating up. They were able to come out ASAP and take care of the problem before it had a chance to become anything serious. Working with Advantage Electric was extremely disappointing. The scope of work was drastically reduced after a consultation with a city inspector, but I was still billed for the 2+ rooms that weren't rewired. Additionally, they left the job after receiving what they called "95% payment" and made zero effort to follow up for over a month, when I contacted them. They had put me under the impression that all permit work had been completed, which was not the case. It had been made explicitly clear to them that all permit work had to be completed ASAP and was urgent. Zach overbooks himself and does not have the memory or organizational skills to provide quality service or warrant the premium price. read more
