Buyers beware. If anyone is interested in buying, selling or trading in their manufactured homes, please be aware of the this place. There seems to be a lot of hidden fees that their agents don't disclose till you actually sit down and sign papers. My situation is in regards about a trade-in and disliked the process of trying to gather information. When I was being showed around the different types of model homes they had on site it seems they couldn't answer basic questions in regards how much certain things are going to be. Assuming that their company designed the home and knew what was going into it, they should have some idea what the price range on certain things could be. No one seemed to have a honest answer. The main reason that deterred me from going with them in regards to my trade-in, they required I believe a non-refundable deposit between $2000-$5000 to even inquire about anything which seemed a bit ridiculous in my opinion. How are people suppose to make an informed decision to go with someone if they don't know anything and expect them to lose that amount of money. Idk, place seems sketchy. I talked to 3 agents there and I wouldn't recommend any of them. They use to be very popular back in the early and mid 2000's and can see why people, especially in my neighborhood, don't use them as often anymore. 1/5 for poor experience and design of overall model homes. Tip: If anyone in the future are looking at their model homes, display houses #1 and #2 both have a long crack in the middle of their ceiling. When I pointed it out to them they weren't aware. Suggestion to the company if you want to showcase your homes as the best, I recommend getting that fix or maybe going with a different vendor who actually cares about the home and what they use to build it. read more

My wife and I went here yesterday to get information about purchasing a manufactured home. We were connected with Christine and she was extremely friendly, professional, honest, and personable. She showed us four homes and even gave us packet for us to review. She was upfront about costs and what to expect in the application process if wanting to apply for a home and lot. She even said to check out the near by competitor just to make sure we are doing our research. I don't hear that from any other salesperson as they typically say that they are the best and yada yada. I am writing in regard to the free Easter Event. I want to say how fun it was for my cousins and my relatives who visited from another city. There were so much food including cotton candy, popcorn, soda, bouncy houses, face painting, balloon animals, games, and a huge Easter egg hunt to top it off. Overall, it was a joyous experience and Gabby and Trinity made such a good impression on my relatives. Will be coming back and not just for the events. My parents had been looking to upgrade their mobile home for quite some time. Recently in Feb 2021, we decided to take a look at some of the models that were displayed and Adriana Gomez had given us a tour of all the models. She was very friendly, patient, knowledgeable and honest from the get go - she answered every question we had, making us feel completely comfortable during the trade-in process when we had officially signed that we were trading in. We went with a model that was similar to one on display and were able to customize to what we wanted and needed to make our perfect home. She was in constant communication through the different steps in the process, and the partnership with the Factory agents made the design process simple and less daunting as this was my first real estate purchase. If I can give 0 stars I would give zero stars. I bought my house 1 year ago from advantage. During the buying process there was a lot of hidden things that were not disclosed and at the end advantage ended up not giving a lot of things they said they would. There service Dept is the Absolute worst! Nobody returns any calls, nobody wants to help. They keep pushing you off onto others. Bought a brand new custom Champion Mobile Home from Advantage Homes in 2014. Thinnest coat of paint possible, incomplete caulking, floor creaks, kick boards not treated so they absorb any moisture from mopping and then swell. I believe Advantage sold a sub standard product which was manufactured by Champion. I will not do business with either again. We purchased one of the show homes off of Advantage's show lot and had an overall good experience. Butch Cotton is THE MAN at this place. He's not the owner, but he's the absolute best agent at Advantage Homes. If I were rating just him as an agent, I'd give him five stars because he really does fight for his clients and does what he can to keep things moving along in light of the issue described below. Traci was also very helpful on the financing side of things. She found us the absolute best loan with the lowest possible interest rate and she got us into closing when she said she would. Could we ask for more? The only real problem we had with Advantage Homes during this whole process was that it is a very closely held company and all final decisions on every deal must pass through the owner and his wife. This made for (at times) some very long wait times on things, which was a bit agonizing because every day that goes by seems like an eternity when you are buying a house. THANK YOU ADVANTAGE HOMES! I bought a brand new mobile home from Advantage Homes 24 months ago. Now, as time goes on there are quite a few problems with my new home. Of course they consider them "cosmetic" because the foundation isn't falling down. Of course, when you're walking through the house, when it's all shiny and brand new everything is fine. I had to get a toilet fixed because of the bathroom being flooded and the baseboards soaking up water. I was told by the plumber (who has no vested interest in this) that the insides were very cheap. I had the toilet insides replaced and now it works fine. I also had the other toilet changed cause the same thing would happen there. Of course the 1 yr warranty was up so I was referred to a extended warranty company. There were also issues that I hadnt brought up because a relative was the salesman but this problem just threw me over the top. Advantage just doesn't care that the product they sold has some "minor cosmetic problems" not important to them but important to me. They just blamed the factory. The extended warranty company Cornerstone Management Co, instead of sending an adjuster, sent a detailed letter about what I had to do to make a claim, which includes getting the problem fixed and have the service person send a detailed repair statement. So, you don't really have a choice except to spend money and go through a whole lot of trouble for shoddy work and it may or may not be covered. Advantages answer that it was the problems of home ownership. So beware and make sure you use a magnifying glass cause there's no extended customer service after the first year. read more

I've worked with several other agents before I met Don Truong. Don was willing to show us 3 mobile homes from different parks, even though he knew we wouldn't buy any of them that day and we couldn't afford one of the houses we requested to tour. The first thing you should look for to find a good buyers agent is his/her will to spend time with/for you. Don listened to our interests or concerns. He learned our preferences, financial condition and budgets. He didn't try to persuade us to go for homes that was 60-80K above our budget and then talked us into borrowing from private loaners with high interest. That's one of the red flags you want to avoid. Don focused on his job, which was getting the house that best fit our family's needs and budget. Our buying process was unusually long, because we're buying from the County instead of regular sellers. Don kept us posted and assured that he stayed on top of it. Don also gave us professional advice and referrals. He made sure that we not only got an affordable house, but also have a decent home to live in. He also helped us through Park Approval application. Don is professional, ethical, engaging, personable and self-motivated. I highly recommend him as a buyers' agent. Don, I can't thank you enough. read more

Not giving him a 3rd chance. Must have not liked us or judged us for who we are or whatever. Completely disappointed. The 1 star is for the nice quality of their homes. I had purchased my home in 2005, and it cost me over a hundred and fifty dollars, which was way too much to begin with... but I bought into it. And straight away, everything started falling apart. They used to cheapest material on every single thing, like the cabinets drawers are all off the rails now, made of plastic... the tiles all fell off in the bathtub, the carpet was the cheapest they could find, it has little insulation so the heat and air conditioning bill is high. The doors and windows are also very cheap, and there are no hall closets, and all the bedroom closets went off rails within a few months. For a hundred and fifty thousand, I expected everything to hold up longer than a few months. I feel totally taken ADVANTAGE" of, and wish I could get a refund and give them their crappy cheap home back. BE CAREFUL. I would never recommend this company. read more

The thing that took it over the top for me was the free community easter egg event they held for everyone. Free of charge to anyone who would like to come. I decided to stop by and check it out and was pretty awesome to see a business do this. Caring for the community is a big plus in my books.
