My experiences with CEC have been either hit or miss, and mostly the latter, unfortunately . . . I have been seen here a number of times, but only twice have I been impressed by the medical staff or satisfied with their services . . . The "Extended" in the name of the practice is dead on, though . . . The wait times are usually atrocious, and when I have finally been seen by a medical professional, rarely do I feel that adequate treatment was provided . . . In particular, I will single out Natalie Fachet as being problematic . . . Her personality and bedside manner are lacking and need work, and the level of care I received from her was not thorough or even adequate . . . Twice I have been misdiagnosed and treated poorly (or not at all!) for conditions insufficiently addressed or even ignored, and on several occasions I have felt that the quality of care rendered that day was missing something . . . However, CEC is not nearly as bad as Patient First, so there's that! read more

Very helpful letting folks know where each patient was in queue. Took their time with the measurements like temperature...doctor also took time. No complaints at all. Thanks for this facility extending care for long hours and almost every day of the year......we were there for Covid test and turned out to be flu. read more

My wife went in with vertigo. She saw Natale Fatchet. Ms. Fatchet gave her a paper with some directions and told her to try this Epley maneuver, if it doesn't work go see someone else. My wife had a case of vertigo 4-5 years ago, the doctor took her through this and fixed the issue instantly. My wife has tried this on her own a few times with no luck. The amount of laziness and negligence by Ms. Fatchet is infuriating. Instead of taking 3 minutes to take her through this maneuver properly, she gives her a piece of paper and on to the next patient. Needless to say, no one in my family will ever return to Commonwealth Primary Extended Care. read more

Commonwealth Extended care is basically CPC's urgent care center that you can either set up an appointment for or simply walk-in hours do vary, but they do stay open later than a normal doctors office as well as the fact that they are open on weekends. I would avoid this place like the plague during flu season especially if you're coming for a common cold or something else that is minor. During flu season this place is PACKED! I usually come here if I can't get an appointment with my PCP across the hall or for something more serious than a regular office visit, but less dire than an ER visit. I think this a good option because most urgent care centers don't have a diagnostic area they do ultrasound or Doppler's here. I like the fact that my PCP can put in an order for a scan and I can get it done within 15 mins or less from leaving her office. In my opinion the doctors here did a little evaluating than BetterMed. read more

Back to being a 2 star experience. It looks like they have switched the names around so this is now the account for the extended care office. I would rather go to this extended care office rather than a Patient First, but man do they have some work to do. I feel like I have never gotten a nice, thorough exam here. The nurses are generally fine, but it's the doctors that really puzzle me. They are stone cold and I think they just take my word for it whenever I come in. I mean, what do I know? That's why I come to you, a doctor, when I'm not feeling well! Anyway, because this is so close to me, I will probably still come here. Only if it's a situation where I am fairly certain I know what's wrong with me and just need a prescription. read more

Love this practice!! I went to Dr. Weston about 10-15 years ago,my mom still sees her. When my insurance changed so I could come back I was no longer able to see Dr. Weston, but I am extremely happy with who I am seeing. When I initially scheduled my appointment they asked if I was ok with seeing a certified physicians assistant, and I said "sure, I'd be happy to". Nikta is now the only person I see there!! She's fantastic!! Very kind, listens, takes things step by step, a solver not a blamer. Honestly one of the BEST medical professionals I've met in a LONG time. Even got my sister to start seeing her. The level of care is high, and they are usually very prompt about seeing patients. Open on the weekends. I have a PCP at this practice, and this clinic has been a real plus for me at times when I need to see someone right away and cannot get an appointment with my PCP for several days. It's not perfect, but if you find a good Doc. Dr. Mills is a very good doctor, but I can't vouch for any of the others. The staff is very nice and they call you back much more quickly than my previous Doctors office. Refills are always on time. Dr.Mills is a five+ star doctor, the practice over all under Dr.Mills is flawless. I see some negative review and I am not disputing their experience. I did see some Doctors' names that are in this office that may or may not.be ss good as my doctor. Primary care doctors are not paid as much as you think, they work hours from hell, and there guidelines and insurance try to take total control. So finding a family catch all doctor is not easy. Being an educated partner in your healthcare is part of creating a good working relationship. read more

I've been here three times this year and each time, I've had to wait in a room for over an hour before a doctor comes to see me. Not to mention, they used to actually be concerned about what's going on, but now it seems they just want the patients to get in and out as quick as possible. read more

Very disappointing experience. I got lost on my way and called them to notify that I'm going to be late and they said that's ok. Arrived 10 minutes late and the doctor refused to see me. The secretary was rude and abrupt. I am not going to come back! Learn to be kind, accommodating and nice to your patients and guests before you open such practice. Good manners go a long way... well, apparently that doesn't apply to people in this place. read more

This review is for their extended care office which is their internal version of urgent care. You can walk in without and appointment to be seen. It's a great concept however CPC is lacking on the execution here. I waited a total of 2 hours, 1 hour to be taken back and an hour to be seen by an actual doctor. I get that this is first come first serve but what bites my ass about this is the doctor only spent 5 minutes with me, mostly checking vitals, only to suggest I take over the counter medication. The doctor was not very friendly and seemed like he did not want to be there. I went here after two weeks of already trying OTC meds for nasal congestion. I was seriously underwhelmed by my experience. I get that it's cold season and it's busy but that's part of your industry and job. Systems can be improved here to work smarter. read more

I hate this place! I am writing this review as I sit and wait for the doctor because I want my fury to be fresh! Just kidding, but in all seriousness this medical practice is definitely the worst I've ever been to. From the rude inattentive front desk staff to the awkward interaction with the nurse, I could have found a better way to spend my day. So let's start with what brings me here, I'm here today for a physical. I'm ready to get in shape and I just wanted to do some blood work and get a confirmation from my doctor that it's okay to start a rigorous exercise routine. It's 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon. I signed in and waited to be called, 10 mins later I was called by a young lady to be checked in, and ugh omg she was so rude! She barely made eye contact and laughed and talked with her co workers throughout our whole exchange. She took my info and hurried me to the waiting room with instructions to return the clip board once I completed filling out the paperwork. I did as was told and then I walked back up to give her the clipboard, she grabbed it without even the slightest look in my direction. So now I find myself sitting in a room waiting on the doctor, I've been waiting now about 15mins which isn't horrible but what was horrible was my experience with his nurse! Really, at this point the unprofessionalism is almost funny but not really. I'll quickly summarize my interaction with the nurse, as by now I'm getting pretty cold sitting in this room and my aggravation is growing to the point where writing this review is just exacerbating it. Okay, so the nurse was fine at first, her smile and greeting was a welcome site after the coldness of the front desk lady. But I've noticed she keeps referring to me as girl, saying things like "girlllll no you didn't!" or "girllllll you better follow up on that!" It was literally girlllll this and girrrlllll that for the ten minutes during which she took my pre-exam info. I thought maybe because I'm African American she thought I that I thought speaking like that was cute or acceptable, OR maybe she speaks like that all the time. Who knows, either way I found it to be unprofessional and it made me uncomfortable as I was speaking properly and didn't understand where that was coming from. It's now 4:15 and I just finished seeing the doctor, mind you my appointment was for 3pm!! Since I still have to wait for the nurse to come in and take blood for my blood work let's talk about my experience with the doctor. Okay so, Dr Beau Cawley walks in and greets me with a big smile and a handshake, he is attentive and kind. He listens to me while completing a quick examination and then he orders the blood work for my physical. He's in and out in about 10 minutes. And now I sit STILL in this freezing cold room waiting for the nurse to come back in and take my blood for the labs before I can leave. It's now 4:28pm. Bottom line, this appointment just wasn't what I was looking for, I was hoping to be able to really talk to my doctor and make a solid plan for my health going forward but I don't know if doctors really have the time to do that these days, and although Dr. Cawley is nice, his office staff especially the front office staff always make me feel rushed and unappreciated. I will say out of fairness that I have come to an appointment here before and had a different nurse who was absolutely wonderful and even the nurse that I dealt with today wasn't mean or horrible, matter of fact her technique of taking my blood with no pain was great! But this isn't the first time I've had a so-so appointment and sadly I think it's time for me to start searching for another primary care physician. read more

What a horrible experience! I've been a patient at CPC for over 10 years but they have likely lost my business after today. 30 min wait in the lobby and 60 min in the exam room. Still haven't been seen by the doctor/PA. Complained to receptionist but she was unsympathetic and terse. How hard is it to simply apologize for running that far behind? Very upsetting. read more

My entire family and I have been going to this office for over 10 years and I waited months to be in town for an appointment and on the day of my apt I showed up and they REFUSED to see me because I did not have my ID with me - despite my fairly dangerously high blood pressure and knowing I only had that one day to be seen. I made an appointment and was seen on Dec 19th, 2016 for the sole purpose of obtaining a referral to my urologist. A recent change in insurance required a new referral as I had to change primary care physicians due to his being "out of network." Despite being assured that the referral would be sent in the "next couple of days," I have had to reschedule my urology appointment twice so far due to no referral being sent. Today is Jan 8, 2017 and I have a urology appointment this afternoon. Upon calling the urologist, I was told that they still have not received the referral. I called Commonwealth Primary Care and, upon waiting approximately 30 min on hold, I was rudely told that it was "faxed last week." It seemed to be a great inconvenience to have the fax resent and I was abruptly hung up on after providing the fax number. As a physician myself, I am ashamed for my profession concerning the manner in which this has been handled. Moreover, a search of other reviews concerning this practice support that this is not an isolated incident. I would seek care elsewhere as the utility of a good physician is severely compromised when office staff are undependable and rude. read more

I took my whole family for the first time to see Dr. David last week. The office is well run,and the staff is very professional and courteous. I went t the location on Glenside Drive. Dr. David took his time with each one of us. He asked questions and actually examed us. For my Boys he did a full sports physical, as I brought the paper work with me to save a trip to Richmond, and he was totally fine with it. He did our refills and wrote needed scripts. befopre i even got to the car my pharmacy had them and sent me a text! Well worth the trip. I am a Nurse Practitioner. My 85 year old father (retired physician) was discharged from hospital last week was and treated horribly by the Family Practice clinic after notifying them there was an accident on the highway and they would be a few minutes late. The practice refused to see my him even though he NEEDED post hospital medical care for a heart condition and cancer. Not only is this a dangerous medical practice but the lack of compassion, respect and discernment are appalling. If I treated my patients this way I'd be fired in a heart beat. We are NEVER going back there. read more

I've been going to the Ridgefield office since I switched from my pediatrician. Ever since I've been an out of state student, going to this doctor has been a continuous inconvenience. As an out of state student, I regularly have to switch prescriptions between pharmacies and they send me on a goose chase between the pharmacy and their office every time. They are not considerate at all of the fact that I go to school 400 miles away and cannot come in whenever they please. I've been on the same prescriptions for years but they always cause me trouble when I run out of refills. They also seem to have a turnover problem with their doctors. I've had 3 PCPs while going here. I'll be switching as soon as I graduate. read more

I tried to make an appointment and they told me to just go to the walk in clinic.. So I did. Then they refused to see me and said to make an appointment. The receptionist called me and pretty much said i was lying and that i needed to make an appointment. She gave me a day and time and I told her that was a bad time because my husband needed the car for work. She then said " Good lord, you want to be seen,then you dont." All i said was the time of the day was bad, not that I didnt want to be seen. I then decided to leave because I was livid. I got my husband to call in my sleeping medication because I have Insomnia. They called back and said that I just needed to talk to a therapist and they wouldnt help. WORST place i have ever been. Extremly rude nurses and receptionist. They honestly ruined my day. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Mills for over 8 years. He's amazing, as are the other providers that I have seen in the Glenside office. The front office staff is hit or miss. I'm assuming by the lack of management, that they don't have an office manager. It's common sense that if you have 8 providers in the office, all of which have their first appointments at 7:30, that you can't unlock the front door at 7:30 and get 8 people checked in by one person at the front desk and have all those patients seen at their appointment time. First appointment of the day and I'm never out in less than 90 minutes. Let's not even talk about the phone system. Called to change an appointment last Friday that I made 6 months ago. It took 7 phone calls, one of which had me waiting FORTY TWO MINUTES before I had to hang up. Finally I sent a fax to the office to get someone to call me, after which I was told that "The doctors spent a lot of money on this phone system and there's nothing they can do about it." Was then told that Dr. Mills' next available appointment (for nothing but maintenance meds) was 4 weeks out. It's absolutely ridiculous. read more

Staff is horrible, including one nurse I like to call Nurse Ratchett from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" with actor Jack Nicholson. This nurse (name not mentioned, so I am not banned) is female, 5 ft 5, black, shoulder length hair (lightened recently) and glasses (sometimes) and whheeeww the attitude on that one doesn't need to be in the medical profession due to not having any bedside manner. She wasn't just cold, but RUDE, grouchy, never smiles, never makes you feel like you matter. Not only that but the hip X-ray she did for me, was not done completely right, whereas after having them burn it to a disc and taking it to an Orthopedic he said not all the hip could be seen from the Xray pictures they took, and so he could only make a guess based on what he could see. Don't think my insurance would have covered another such Xray within the same month. So I not only had to put up with Nurse Ratchett's attitude but got an incomplete X-ray as a bonus. read more

I saw Dr. Westin for more than 20 years. She is a good doctor and I like her a lot. However, during that time, the waits got increasingly longer and it became more and more difficult to get lab results, accurate and prompt prescription refills, call-backs, appointments, and responses in general. Also, you can hear personal conversations through the walls, and nurses and sometimes Dr. Westin discuss your issues in the open hallway. I finally switched to another doctor and haven't been able to get Dr. Westin's office to transfer my records. I'm wondering if perhaps the practice takes on more patients that they have the manpower to handle. read more

I am really unhappy with Dr. Koontz practice at Commonwealth Primary Care. I went their for my yearly checkup and Dr. Koontz asks if there is anything else you will like talk. I said I have tennis elbow off and on and I have gone to physical therapist in the past and I am not going because I am being lazy. Dr. Kootz suggests me a physical therapist place and I get a bill in the mail for an extra visit. This is unbelievable. So Dr. Koontz asks me if I have any other issues and doesn't inform me that if I talk he will charge me an extra visit. Then he shares a physical therapist location which I don't need and I have not even gone there. But he never informs me that I am going to charge you an extra visit. This is unfair practice. Even a restaurant or any other place will tell the customer if there are any extra charges before they provide service. And after I disputed, their administrator said that after all it will be Dr. Koontz decision that will be final. I just realized that customer is treated very poorly by Commonwealth Primary Care. read more

I and my wife had been patients of this facility at Wyndham for the last three years. We were regularly visiting Dr. Faiza Akbar. During the recent visit I asked if I can go to Dr. Arpita Aggarwal who is new doctor at the facility in case she (Dr.Akbar) who comes there on Tuesdays and Thursdays only, is not available. At this Dr,. Akbar got annoyed and sent us letters cancelling our relationship with the facility. What a treatment of patients? read more

Dr. Mills has been my doctor for close to 25 years. My husband and my daughter are also his patients. He is an excellent doctor. He takes his time and answers any questions you may have. I never feel rushed. He genuinely cares about his patients and their health. You will not be disappointed...the nurses and all the office people are friendly and efficient. Terrible! Beau Crawley has no bedside manners whatsoever. I have never been so displeased with a Dr./PA-C as I am with him. I was a new patient and needed a physical. My job offers 1 a year for free. When he finally got in the room to see me (I waited 40 mins) he was just the rudest kid. He was quick to tell me I was obese and needed to lose weight- wow thanks Doc! Nice to meet you too! I'll admit.. I'm a little thick but obese?? Get out of town. He did the absolutely bare minimum- no seriously he was in and out in 7 mins flat. In the short period of time we discussed only doing labs my insurance covered. He then sends me to to lab. That's where I sit for about 30 mins. There is no system there- you just better figure out who came in before you because that's who you go behind. Finally I'm done and glad to be out of there. 1 month later I get a bill from them... he ordered labs that my insurance didn't cover. Now I'm stuck with an $80.00 bill. I have been going to Dr. Stein for over 15 years but in my past two visits I have been extremely disappointed with the services (mostly staff) at the Ridgefield office location. Their system generated an old phone number and upon my visit, I had new insurance and needed a health form to be filled out with blood work results. The staff working in the lab were quite rude and I kept asking to verify that my results will be sent off, but no one could confirm whether or not they would and I left there feeling uncertainty that they would fulfill my request. I had to go back for a second test on my glucose and not only did they have the incorrect insurance listed, no one in the office could confirm that my form was sent off to my new insurance. The staff talks down to you and are very unfriendly...so sad since Dr. Stein has always been a great doctor and the staff around him is the opposite. read more
