Poor service, poor attitudes, overpriced. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. At the scene of the accident the tow man mark was not clear about the price of towing and storing. Even the CHP officer was under the assumption it would cost 150$ and stated that to my husband as well. Ended up paying 500$ to tow my car and sit in the yard for an hour, and he did not care. Mark did a complicated and long distance 40 foot trailer transfer for us. We live on a dirt road on a hill, so it was not easy. He drove out the 30 miles from town to see if he could get it into the spot we wanted before we made the deal. He was super helpful and communicated well. The price was reasonable. read more

It would be impossible to leave a review high enough for Advantage Towing. Mark got my husband and I out of a real bind. It was the Saturday before Veterans Day, and we were on our way to the shore when our car broke down 20 miles from Ukiah. The sun was going down. It was getting cold, and our car had no heat. After calling three towing companies (who swore at us for calling on Veterans Day weekend), one of the guys we called insisted that we call Advantage. Mark left dinner to pick us up. He was kind. His rates were very reasonable. He dropped us off at an auto parts store and recommended a hotel. In the morning, after it was determined that my husband couldn't fix our car himself, Mark was not only gracious about having his Sunday morning interrupted, he even recommended a mechanic, towed us to the shop, and drove us to the bus station. The mechanic he recommended was incredible, and Mark called when our car was done to make sure we were okay. Thank you, Mark. You were a lifesaver. read more

Nothing pisses you off or stresses you out more than having your car break down in the beginning of a road trip. My girlfriend and I were three hours in to a 12 hour drive when we were stranded in Ukiah, on a 105 degree day. Mark "rescued" us and made a bad situation as good as it could be. He arrived within 30 minutes of being dispatched, and did his best to make us feel at ease. We enjoyed our conversation during the 75 minute ride to the dealership, even though his truck's air conditioning wasn't working at the time. My impressions were that Mark is a genuinely nice, courteous guy who takes pride in his work. So I was on my way home from San Francisco when I suddenly got sleepy. So I pulled into the Ukiah Wal-Mart to get some rest for a while. I thought I had fully turned off my car but, no, I had left the battery running and my phone charging. I woke up sometime later to find my battery dead at 5:00am. I called my insurance (GEICO) to use the roadside assistance that I pay for every month. This tow company is the ONLY 24 hour tow company in the area. They told GEICO that they would not accept payment from them but that I have to pay them first! What the hell! Roadside assistance is intended to be used in an emergency! Why won't you accept payment from my insurance?! So since they are so backwards and obviously don't really care about customer service nor their integrity as their business card states, I am stuck in my car in the cold until "sometime after 8am" when the rational tow company is open!! If I could give them 0 stars I would! These people don't know the first thing about customer service!! read more

Mark and his son saved us from certain death. Late Sunday outside of Ukiah. 2 flat tires on the pop up camper in less than 1 hour. We're broken down on the side of the road with no extra room in the breakdown lane. CHP didn't even stop to help! Our insurance company was NO help (Geiko), proving that they had no interest in assisting us without a policy on the camper...with no concern for the ppl that were stuck! Traffic zooming by @ 80+. My husband is disabled, a service animal in the truck with us and no room to get out of the truck. Many, MANY phone calls to all the local tow companies that could not or would not help us...then we found Mark thru Yelp. In less than 1/2 hour he was on the side of the road with us, traffic still zooming by @ 80+. Mark took extra precautions to minimize damage to our old pop up, got all of us off the road safely and quickly. Courteous. Professional. Fast.
