AAA sent out a tech to change out the battery that was replaced by them yesterday Tech said bad alternator. And he will get a tow truck after 30 minutes I called 3 different numbers. All were forwarded to a cell that went to voicemai. i final got through to the tow service to ask if tow truck was on way he replied call AAA. I found out that my car was moved without my knowledge or permission to another tow yard. Despite expressing multiple times that it should only be picked up by my insurance adjuster, the next day my car was nowhere to be found, moved to another yard with no explanation. I received no calls informing me of the change and on top of that, once I called to figure out what was going on the manager was nowhere to be found. Once I explained I would be calling back, the manager called in less than 10 minutes (I was initially told it would take an hour to an hour and a half for them to get back to me) Upon speaking to the manager I was told "accidents happen... it's not a big deal". I was told the tow truck driver received instructions from me to move it to another tow yard. (Not true). There was no other explanation for the mishap. Not once did I raise my voice or speak disrespectfully, but after trying to calmly express why it was so important to better monitor the location of other people's vehicles the manager then asked "are you going to talk or are you going to listen". Even after I explained all further action would be taken by my insurance company he continued to talk over me, saying they could move it within an hour back to advantage tow. His disingenuous apology was extremely patronizing, and I would not recommend their services at all. I am still awaiting my insurance adjusters updates however anything could have been put or taken out of the car... the vehicle could have been damaged further. On New Year's Day 2022 we called AAA to get a flat tire fixed at the lifeguard station in Ocean Beach. Advantage towing was dispatched at approximately six minutes after 2 PM come in at 2:12 PM I received a text that a technician from advantage towing had been dispatched. We were notified it would be approximately one hour. At 2:17 PM I received a phone call from an unknown caller. I did not answer, as I was waiting for the tow company. At 2:23 PM I received a text that stated The technician had arrived. In less than one minute and 30 seconds my wife was at the vehicle to meet the technician, but no technician was there. After waiting approximately 10 minutes I texted back to the originator of the notice that the technician was there, and I let them know that no technician was on site. Call my wife recalled AAA and was told that they tow company would be dispatched once again, but advantage towing refused to return. This is the worst service I have ever seen, and I have 10 1/2 years experience as a tow truck driver. I would not recommend this business to anyone. My car broke down in the middle of the day in a parking garage. I called AAA who dispatched Hasan with Advantage Towing. I was already stressed out thinking it was going to cost me a trillion dollars to fix but Hasan was so friendly and polite he immediately put me at ease. He quickly diagnosed the problem with my battery, installed a new battery, and even waited with me to allow my car to run for awhile to make sure that was the full problem. Then said he didn't know if the car was there and to call back in 30 minutes. I said sir, the SD police told me you have my vehicle. I need to get my car out of traffic way and they hooked it up for $75 hook-up and move fee but then says $10 a mile I was okay with but I couldn't take it to a near shop so I said just drop it here and then the guy had the nerve to tell me it's not $75 anymore but $245 for "Hazardous and Cops" fee. I was told i didn't need to be there for the drop off and since the car is in my wife's name and both her and I are on the AAA account I left for work. Joe showed up and said he couldn't do anything unless i was there. He was extremely rude to my wife and stormed off. He didn't even stay for me to come back. I was only about a mile away and when i talked to my wife i called his cell and he ignored the call. Glad my wife was at our house and not on the side of the road. My car got broken into two days ago and I had multiple smashed windows the day before a long road trip. After calling insurance to request a tow, John arrived literally within 10 minutes. From the get go, he had a good attitude and was super friendly while he worked to get my car hooked up and ready to go. Like most people who experience their car getting towed it's very frustrating. I understand towing companies have a job but with this towing company I did not have a satisfactory interaction. After my car being towed with no reason, I continued to call every tow company within the parking lot rules and regulation to no avail. Every tow company denied having my car including advantage towing (twice). I eventually called the police trying to do a stolen car report only having them say that advantage towing actually DID have my car. Only when I told advantage towing that I had spoke to the police did they finally admit my car was in their tow lot. After a day I had to come back during their hours and miss work only to have them say that their card reader was "not working". I then had to go to a separate store to an ATM to get cash for them. $340 later got my car. Still no reason to towing. Seems like they really preferred the cash over a credit card attempt. Very rude customer service after being denied my car after taking an Uber to get there. read more

We called at 145 to get our truck jumped because our battery unexpectedly died. A man named Pedro showed up to Mary birch hospital I'm pregnant. When he showed up he was very rude. Immediately asking for payment before he even completed the job that part doesn't bother me it was just his attitude and how he asked was extremely rude. I've never had to use a towing company before today but I'm so glad that my 1st experience was with this company specifically technician,Richard Baxter. I had to work out of town this week, so I had to get a rental car and wouldn't you know It i get a flat tire on the freeway while driving the rental. Thanks to a friendly driver passing me on the freeway, he shouted out that my front tire was totally flat, so I exited off the freeway and coasted into a Denny's parking lot in Oceanside. I immediately called AAA and they dispatched Advantage Towing, Richard was there in about 25 mins from my initial phone call to AAA and literally came to my rescue! I was super unfamiliar with this area so I was totally freaking out as right in front of Denny's was a crazy man shouting nonsense about specific types of races and then there was a lady accompanying him, and she was asking him to "give it to her"!!?? So you can see why I had anxiety!! Anyway enough about Denny's customers, when Richard came (super friendly) he totally put me at ease and assured me this new temporary tire would get me safely to my destination. He continued to talk to me and this helped my anxiety so much! I was literally going to have a panic attack before he came but once he jumped out of his little truck and got straight to fix the problem, I felt relieved! THE MOST DISHONEST TOWING COMPANY IN TOWN THAT DESERVES ZER0 STARS. I will give them 0 stars for being the biggest scammers and liars. My vehicle was in an accident around 6 pm on Thursday and it was picked up and taken to storage because the body shop was closed. They were told where to deliver my vehicle the next morning by AAA. The following Tuesday they had not delivered my car. They would not tell me if they had it. I threatened to report the car stolen and only then they produced my car within the hour. And they said, I would not be charged any storage fees. I just got a pending lien sale for unpaid towing and storage fees and they are claiming 10 days or storage fees and they have filed a "pending lien sale for vehicle valued $4,000 or less" on a 30k car. I would never-ever-ever-ever used them again. BEWARE!!! read more

We called AAA for a jump at the SD Airport cellphone lot on 9/09/22 - they said it would take 50 minutes to respond. After an hour and no calls or texts my wife called to find out when they would arrive (it was raining) and was told to call Advantage Towing - she called and they told her it would be 30 minutes - when she informed them that I had already waited over an hour they said 30 minutes again - when she told them she would contact AAA about the service the individual said it would now be 5 hours before someone would arrive. The employee working in the window named Isaac was very unhelpful, rude and condescending! It's Christmas Eve and I was the victim of a serious re ended accident. I needed to retrieve my belonging and some important work stuff. I understand he's "doing his job" but he spoke to me as if I didn't matter, he wasn't helpful and made me contact several people form my company just so they can send over proof that I am the driver of the vehicle, despite me having pictures of the accident, a business card to match the registration with my name on it my drivers license etc, and arriving in a fully decal company vehicle. After going back and forth for over 45 min he agreed to let me look at the car after I drove back to my company office and and pick up a letter head stating I am allowed access to the vehicle..
