Totally Satisfied for the service I received today. I went to my car dealership beforehand and ended up wasting a lot of time. They just glanced at my issue and gave me not very thoughtful advice that I followed and didn't help me. I ended up calling AAA who connected me with Advantage Towing. The technician sent to me to tow my car took the initiative to give me his expert opinion that would best serve me, not what I thought I had to do and called him for. He explained the situation, laid out my options, recommended plan A & plan B, explained my car problem to a tire center rep on my behalf, etc. He solved my problem for me and saved me a lot of time and trouble today. Never in my life, and I've had more than a few cars and motorcycles towed in my 30 years of driving, have I ever met a more rude, mean, disrespectful WORKER (not just a tow truck driver) - A WORKER, in my life. Buddy - you signed up for the job - sorry if 3am is a little late for you. Have some dignity for hard work and do the job that you got hired for. Anyways, I sent him right back home where he belonged - no commission, no paycheck for him - after 3 minutes of his bu**sh**. And I'm the nicest guy ever! I was close to getting seriously injured this past early Sunday morning 2/14/21. Advantage Towing, you know who I'm talking about - I called you approx 5 minutes after the altercation, and there IS SUCH A THING a as "assault" in the legal court systems, and your employee Keith did just that - he looked like he wanted kick my butt, THREATENING me to "NOT COME ANY CLOSER TO HIM" - more than once(!) when all I was doing was attempting to tell him what happened (AFTER HE ASKED ME!!) and I was trying to hand him my insurance and AAA card info. My car was stuck in a VERY low parking garage. The sign said the clearance was only 6 feet. When my driver (Hector) showed up, he skillfully navigated the truck into the structure with no issues. Not only was the entrance small, but the exit was arguably smaller. He didn't bat an eye. If he tried one thing and it didn't work, he reached back into his bag of tricks and tried something else. There was never a point at which he looked, sounded, or seemed defeated. This garage at 4033 Third avenue was designed so terribly, but Hector was able to use his developed skill to fish my car out in no time flat. I am forever grateful for Hector and Advantage Towing. I was so pleased with the service that I called into the office to personally thank them. I was told the that compliment would be run up the chain. About 20 minutes after that call ended, the Manager of Advantage called me personally to hear about Hector. I told him he needed a raise, bonus, and month off after how well he did. The manager was very appreciative and happy to hear that his employee came out to a REALLY tough job and handled it despite the difficulty presented. I HIGHLY recommend Advantage Towing. Then I called AAA again for a tow on Monday and they sent them again where I was told they couldn't tow it because they were unable to tow to one of the major SD repair shops because they had past issues (most likely due to advantage towing) and couldn't tow after the repair show closed ? So is it cause it's a collision or was it cause of the repair shop being closed? Also told me it would be $300 to tow ?? I have used AAA before and they towed me after hours on a Sunday? Almost $2K in damages and 3 weeks without a car. They avoided phone calls and did not return messages. Total scam! My truck overheated, I called AAA to get a tow, they sent out this company, driver was named Mo. I had some tools in my truck, and a few boxes. I have a camper shell and everything was secure in the bed. He made me load all my tools into my girlfriends car, saying that if I didn't he would have to charge me $230. I did that, but I had three boxes I couldn't fit into the car. These were small/medium boxes. He still refused to tow me home. When I called AAA to complain, they called his dispatcher. I got in my car today to go join the KMLB gang for lunch at Bud's and my F@*$ing car wouldn't start. It's no mean feat to get a tow truck where I work. I'm in a protected environment and there has to be a law enforcement escort for the tow truck to even be able to get near my car. Sigh. So of course tow truck from Advantage which is contracted out by AAA arrived first and the poor guy had to sit and wait for the police to arrive. He was very polite and didn't seem irritated at all while he was just sitting there waiting and waiting and waiting. Finally all was set and Advantage did a simple test and determined my battery to be dead. Which I pretty much knew because nothing worked. He replaced it quickly and was done. If he didn't have to wait for his escort all would have been completed in about 15 minutes from the time I placed the call. Nice. read more

We came out of church to find our car wouldn't start. I whipped out my AAA card and they called Advantage Towing. He showed up right on time and gave me a ring on my cell phone. Saxton asked me very nicely what was wrong with my car... I let him check it out for himself. He tried to help us rule out every other options before towing - out of gas? Battery? Etc. It was apparent that he wasn't just trying to make a buck. It was AMAZING how quickly and easily he loaded the car in such a tight parking lot. He also took extra care to put napkins under the magnetic light he put on top of the car not the scratch the paint. I used AAA service for a flat tire, they dispatched these guy's? They changed out wheel for spare (brand new never mounted). I was on the 5 freeway going home and wheel nearly came off! Made it to Victors tire shop on Clairemont Drive, rim & tire both ruined based on not properly installed. Contacted AAA, they advised me to present Advantage Towing with costs to be reimbursed. After endless calls & texts i took the car & the rim to their yard, showed Jesse (manager). Two months later, more patient communication with Jesse "the liar". I'm out $400 with no resolve??? Jesse , i thought you where a stand up guy, thank the lord the wheel didn't come off on the freeway, i could be dead, or worse other people on the road!!! On January 16, 2023, my husband and I were at the jetty in South Mission Beach when his battery died. I called AAA and Advantage Towing called me back for the exact location. The driver asked if my husband was there and I said yes. When he showed up I showed him my AAA card and he said he had to see my husband's card before he could proceed. My husband showed his card. The tow truck driver didn't want to speak to or deal with me, yet I was the one who called and was paying for the battery. Both my husband & I are AAA members. While he put in the new battery I filled out paperwork with my AAA card number and driver's license number and showed him my cards. He then asked my husband for his, crossed mine out, and wrote in my husband's numbers. I was so angry at the treatment I was given. I asked this man what if I was alone and he stated he would have to make an exception to deal with a woman! My husband is deaf so I usually deal with people as it is just easier and faster. Had the best experience here the other day. I walked out of my house in the morning to find out I had a flat tire. Called AAA and they dispatched a technician from Advantage Towing (his name was Doug, but I may be wrong about that, I wish I remembered!). He came quickly and help put air in my tire, then followed me to the closest tire shop to make sure I made it okay. They really need to get their stuff together. I called AAA for a battery jump. Advantage was dispatched to my location. At first, I received a call from their driver asking me to verify the location. He said he would be withe 15 minutes or less. I thought how great, good communication and a prompt response. An hour goes by, so I check status and it appears a new person has been dispatched with a new ETA of 45 minutes to an hour. An hour goes by again so I once again check status and a new driver jas been dispatched again with a new ETA of an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. I go to their website to see where they are located. It seems they are less than 4 miles from my location. Why not contact me and update me you did to tell me you where 15 minutes away 3 hours ago. Completely unacceptable. If you have AAA and are dispatched Advantage Towing, I would advise you to have a different company dispatched to you. I hope they lose their AAA contact so no has to go through this type of situation. If the AAA members refuse service enough times I think they will get the idea. Even though they had my request in there notes where the car was & where it was going. They then told me it would be $75 and it wouldn't be covered by AAA. On the second visit, he suggested it was probably time to start thinking about replacing the battery. We took a closer look, and although I don't drive my car too much, the battery had last been changed in April of 2017! I requested a flat bed truck and he showed up without the flat bed and said just let me do it. Triple A really paid for it's membership this morning for me when my darn car would just not start. Yesterday, I went through the car wash and later at the Von's gas station in PB, it would not turn over. Lucky I was able to push it out of the fueling area and then the power came on. So today I was thinking my battery must be dead because nothing was working. Just then I remembered my friendly Triple A card gathering dust in my wallet. I have had it nearly a year and my son & I never ever used it. What a wonderful surprise when I called the 800 # and found out I would have a tow truck at my parking spot within a half hour. It turned out to be even faster than that. Rudy H. showed up and promptly got out to take a look under my hood. (the car hood) I watched as he rigged some machine up and started pushing buttons. Almost immediately a report printed out that showed my battery, starter and ignition were fine. Yes, it was just a loose cable connector that had jiggled free that was causing the problem. Rudy adjusted it and my car turned right on Rudy explained everything to me and reassured me my car should be starting just fine now. Advantage Towing is great. If they are hooked up with Triple A, you know that AAA did due diligence on them in order to send them out to their stuck customers. Absolutely disgusting behavior from these employees, the level of disrespect is insane. Went to pick up my car that had been towed, not a single other person there except me and the employee at the window who refused to acknowledge me for 25 minutes while he typed on his computer after I greeted him and asked for help. When he finally did help me, he charged me $50 for a "access fee" so I could get my paperwork out of my car. Total fucking came. Then he told me I wasn't able to drive off the lot due to my temporary registration card that was pending a smog check. This dude proceeds to tell me I need to go get a smog check and get the updated registration in order to drive my car.....I ask him how he expects me to do that while my car is being held in their fucking tow lot? He then says I need to get a temporary operating permit at the DMV. So, I do that and return the next day. Walk up to the window and a new guy is there and tells me "Sorry but you're gonna have to wait 45 minutes for our meeting is over". As if I have nothing but time for these fucking jerks. I literally had to stand there and watch them have their meeting, absolutely no reason why one guy couldn't step out to help me for 5 minutes other than they don't give a fuck.
