I genuinely do think making my voice heard on this place (ha, vocal institute, get it?) is what can even the karmic scales a bit, and hopefully will be enough a push to get the office staff to reflect on their behavior. To try and briefly describe the situation, I had told the office staff from day 1 that I'd be footing every bill as my insurance didn't cover anything. And from day 1, this was executed as planned! I paid everything on time as it was presented to me. After my necessary treatment there, it was confirmed to me that I had nothing else to pay off - what a joy! December of last year, I receive a $1 bill in the mail from them. Assuming it's a clerical error, I bin it. I then get a call informing me a surprise $900 bill is going to collections. Having never been late on a single bill (and again having confirmed everything was paid off), I of course was pretty surprised and upset. Turns out, they'd tried...billing my insurance? And didn't hear back for months? And the claim was (as expected) denied, but they couldn't be bothered to send the bill in the mail, call me, or email me about this? I have a feeling they're padding their bottom line assuming you'll pay anything off. After all, who wants their credit ruined by having a bill sent to collections? Perhaps most people who come here have enough money where they wouldn't blink at such a bill? In any case, even if what they're saying is 100% true, it's pretty unbelievable they wouldn't own up to any aspect of the mistake, give more time to pay off the bill before sending to collections, or have an ounce of accountability or empathy in this situation. Even a simple "we made a mistake, I'm sorry" would have sufficed! Kyle and Sandra specifically were obstinate and overtly hostile. Kyle has clearly worked here for a long time, and part of me wonders if they're aware of the racket he's pulling and that's what makes him such a valuable employee. Anyways, Dr. Rebecca Hoesli is the most intelligent, understanding, holistic doctor I've ever experienced. Her care was absolutely peak, and I wish her the best in her career. She helped me understand my condition and the options moving forward, and I'm able to work again because of her. I'm sorry that she works here.

I showed them my insurance information to show that it has been met and was told that even though it was met that I would still have to pay. Spoke with the manager that said the same thing. The staff doesn't seem to have a full understanding on how insurance, copays and out of pocket max work. I left without see the doctor. I'd rather go to a doctor's office that has a better understanding on how insurance works.

I went to Midwest Endoscopy for an Endoscopy and Colonoscopy on the same day. I've had issues with…read moremy stomach for quite sometime, and as it worsened I started feeling consistently tired and weak. Also, my tongue began breaking out in Canker sores that has been a sign to my physicians that I'm likely fighting some type of infection, illness, inflammation. They are very aggressive in your prep, having you taking laxatives a week before the procedure, and being in clear liquids for a full day before the procedure. My procedure was at 1:30 on a Wednesday afternoon and I was to have no solids after Monday night. My prep kit didn't start until 8pm, so basically went to the bathroom all throughout the night, then finished the prep next morning (day of procedure). Also, the doctors office called my prep kit into two different pharmacies and gave me written instructions stating "do not follow the instructions on the prescription container, follow these instructions provided by the physician". I had to have a physician paged because the instructions made no sense. It's because they gave me a different prep kit than what they provided instructions for, so the physician walked me through the instructions on the bottle (like a child). I shared I understood the instructions if that's what I need to follow, but just needed to know the dosage. He interrupted and said, "I'll get to that", then proceeded to tell me how to fill with water to the line that reads "full to here". Meet with the nurse, meet with Anesthesiologist, we're minutes away from go time, and the doctor comes in to tell me the clinical director will not allow the procedures because of a Canker sore on my tongue. I've literally had sores at all times for a minimum of six months, been seen by multiple doctors, and getting the gut checked out was the next step in figuring it all out. I reached out to friends and colleagues in the medical field and anesthesiology, and this is a quite uncommon policy and decision. The doctor tried to explain and express his understanding, but the fact is, he doesn't understand. Time off of work for me and my spouse. Shuffled schedules, the prep, exhaustion, etc., and absolutely nothing in return. No answers, no feeling better, no next steps. Nothing but wasted time and money, to go through it again with another clinic without an absurd policy to cover their rear ends by being dramatically o early cautious. My anger was and is beyond words. Very kind staff, very disconnected administration. One other note, this is Edward Elmhurst so they are pulling everything from my chart. Three different appointments, most recently a week ago, where the Canker sores on my tongue are a primary area of concern. This could have easily been avoided. I wish I could give negative stars. A clinic that says, 'you show signs of being unwell so we won't provide medical treatment".

Staff was unable to get authorization for me to get treatment at this office for a work related…read moreinjury. I was told repeatedly that I had a wrong claim number for the insurance. After stating I would go somewhere else, I was called back and told they found my claim number and I could come in. I had already contacted a different physical therapy company, who did what needed to be done to get me authorization with absolutely no issues.

Ashlee, CPT and Jamie, PTA are an amazing team whom I have worked with multiple times, most recently following knee replacement. They worked closely with me three times a week ensuring I progressed in each session so after 10 weeks I have full mobility. They also ensured I had a program to follow at home for those days I was not at PT. They were in continuous communication about my treatment plan so it felt seamless no matter who treated me. Dan is the leader of the site and has an amazing team--they help each other and the patients continuously without even being asked--plus they ensure everyone has fun while in clinic. A special shout out to Tony, Elan and Marilou who keep the place moving on a daily basis. Highly recommend, would definitely use them again and have recommended to others.

He spent lots of time hearing how the injury occurred, examining my son, taking the xrays, explaining the xrays to me and coming up with a recovery plan. He is a very friendly guy and was patient and answered all my questions. Do you know about growth plates? Well I am quickly becoming an expert. This practice has several locations and several specialists, so you know they have dealt with your problem before. Also the appointment phone line opens at 8 am, which is so much better than waiting until 9. So after 2 major bone injuries in my house, my new motto is to avoid the ER at all costs (not if it's really in bad shape of course). Those bozos can't read an xray to save their life! Growth plate? What's a growth plate? Did we learn about that in school? The orthopedic specialist is the way to go!

Another reviewer commented on the high cost of healthcare...this is not OAD's fault. Yes, it's expensive, but I feel like they do it right here. I did pay a lot of money for surgery, OT, etc, but I feel like I received the best care and got the most for my money. Unfortunately I think Gerry H is just a bitter person. I had a great experience with Dr. Thomas and a great experience with Linda Picchiottino (the OT specialist). I did feel like it was slightly "assembly line" at time, more so with Dr. Thomas, but you have to keep in mind, these are SPECIALISTS, all they look at, all day, is wrist and hand maladies, they know what they are looking at and they know what to do, why would you want a lot of hemming and hawing? Anyway, I would recommend this place whole-heartedly.

They do expect payment at the time of service and they are probably not the cheapest. I have some dental anxiety so my priorities are different. Dr Pawluk is great at what he does. Very confident and efficient. I've been coming here since 2018 whenever I needed an endodontist and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
