I went to the ER today for care and was unfortunate enough to be seen by Larry Leon Alexander "MD" (allegedly). Larry was dismissive of my symptoms from the beginning. He made several comments that I shouldn't be at the ER but at a PCP's office, not understanding that everyone is not as privileged as him to be able to regularly see a PCP. Larry was only concerned with checking boxes and not about patient care. I believe this is directly related to my gender and my disability. My official statement is do not come to this "emergency room" if you require medical attention. Larry Leon Alexander is ableist and misogynistic. The supporting staff was excellent. read more

Nobody listened to me or cared about my feelings whatsoever. i went to urgent care first and only came to this er under their advice. the doctors were completely dismissive of all of my concerns, treated me like i was stupid, and never gave me a real explanation as to why i was experiencing my symptoms. they also talked to my partner about me like i wasn't even in the room. on top of everything, they made me take both a covid test and a strep test even though i said i didn't want them (my symptoms were not AT ALL related to anything respiratory/sore throat) and then charged me $700 for them i would never ever go back here and will avoid adventhealth as much as i am able to read more

This place is fantastic, at 3 AM I walked in with a broken finger and everyone, the nurse, receptionist, imaging specialist and Dr. Assing were so patient and caring. Took my 88 yr old mother-in-law in after a fall. She had a broken clavicle. After dealing with a very rude receptionist, mother was allowed in, but her daughter was NOT. Mother was in a traumatic state, but the twit would not allow her in because of COVID precautions. What a Crock!!!! South Lake ER and Celebration do..... Once they confirmed the broken clavicle, they gave her an opiod prescription and told her to go see a doctor. THATS IT!! An 88 tr old loses her balance and falls, and they do not screen for stroke, no bloodwork to check for heart attack, then simply say go see a doctor? Next day we called her primary, were told to get her to Celebration ER. Fast. Sure enough, after carefull and full examination it was deremined she needed to be admitted for evaluation. An lo and behold, traces of previous stroke episodes were evident. Four Corners Advent ER IS HORRIBLE. They are rude, unprofessional, and morbidly incompetent. South Lake ER on Hwy 27 is the best, we've had positive previous experience there. They saved my mothers life. Advent Health you need to do something about this brand new facility. Start by losing the late night receptionist. read more

This has to be the worst hospital/er that I've been to in my life. Normally I go to advent celebration. There is no comparison doesn't even seem like the same hospital chain. From the front reception to the nurses in the back and the doctor there's nothing positive that I can say . I should have went with my gut instinct and left when I first walked in. Everyone is incompetent. No one was in the waiting area when I arrived. I was told to have a seat. As soon as I sat down she said you can come up now. Only positive I was taken to the back immediately. When I got to the room the nurse started to ask about current medications and allergies. I had to spell everything for her. And I'm talking common blood pressure med names. After that she was told to show me the bathroom for a urine sample. I walked out and said oh this bathroom right here which was adjacent to my room. She said oh silly me what was I thinking. I thought to myself oh boy what have I gotten myself into. The next nurse came to draw blood and place the iv. I felt something warm running down my forearm and hand it was blood. She said oh it was her fault. As she was finishing it looked like she was going to leave . I had to ask for something to clean myself up. Doctor came in he was nice but looked very nervous and unsure of himself. Ultrasound tech came and she was also horrible. As of now I'm just waiting on my results. Stay far away from this place. I will never come back I'll drive a little longer to celebration and wait a little longer in the er than come here. I wish there was no stars to give because one star is not deserved. read more

This is the first time having an issue at this location! I have been to this location and had quick service and knowledgeable staff. This visit was complete opposite, the nurses seemed like patients were bothering them, and that even getting a blanket was too much to ask for. From the front desk to the nurses to the doctors there was no bed side matter, no communication and so much rudeness. I understand that Covid-19 has changed the healthcare system but this is definitely steps in the wrong direction. read more

Do not go here. Stay away. This is the place you hear about on the news. $1300 for a finger splint. And I have BCBS. On the phone, they said they "Accept all Insurances", which is not true. You will be taken back to a room quickly but if you aren't in critical condition, you will sit here for hours upon hours for anyone to check on you, lab results should take up to 90 minutes according to their sign on the wall and I waited over 4 hours not just for my results but for any nurse to even come back to check on me to see if I was feeling better after being given an iv. Then was told I was being discharged and was waiting for the discharge papers for almost two hours. It felt like it was 50 degrees in my room and At this point I felt worse than I did when I came in and just wanted to go home so I called the nurse to ask for my papers and he said I could leave against medical advice if I want but I came to an emergency room so I would have to bear with them bc I am not a critical condition patient. Really would just recommend going anywhere else but here. read more

First time at this location. Very disappointed from the front desk all the way to discharge. the front desk lady took someone out of line and the patient she missed was a small child. There was a language barrier with the nurse. She gave my daughter a Covid test and stuck that swab so far up and down that it came out bent. never heard or seen anything like this before and she insisted that was the right way to do it. again language barrier which made me frustrated. When I was walking out, the front desk had me sign the consent forms which should've be signed upon arrival. Will never go to this location again. read more

This place doesn't deserve not even 1 star but it won't let me posted with out a star. I work in the healthcare field and we are encouraged to treat customers (patients) and their families with respect and provide an excellent service. I can't say that about this particular campus of Advent Health ER. My mother went there about 3 weeks ago to accompany her cousin who was not feeling well. She came home very shaken and crying. She shared that it was the worst experience she had. She had seen the coffee stand and went to get coffee thinking that she could. Mind you she is an elderly woman with a language barrier. A gentleman named DAVID came towards her and YELLED not talk to her but literally YELLED at her that the coffee was not for customers. My mom only needed to be told that the coffee was not complimentary and she would not take it but she was YELLED at and she felt threaten because he stood in front of her YELLING. 3 weeks later my mother takes my daughter there only because my daughter requested it. They spent over 4 hours there and is like they forgot they were in the facility. The nurses were very rude to my daughter. The daughter felt like she was not given answers. My mother comes outside to pick up some food I brought her and took into the lobby. The front desk person told her she can take it to the room so she went back there and who does she runs into......DAVID..........once again he was very rude and kicked my Mom out. My mom in her broken English tried to tell him that the front desk had given her permission and his answer was......"I am the boss here not them or you so get out!" When I called to check on my mother and daughter, I heard the male nurse in the room. I asked my mother to tell him I wanted to speak to him. He sounded very rude and said. "I can't talk to anyone". He didn't even know what I was going to ask, All I wanted to know what time she will be discharged. So Advent Health if you are reading this. I am sorry but definitely David is creating a hostile work environment and you are going to loose customers. I be more than willing to go train your staff on how to treat customers with respect, dignity and provide excellent service. read more

I visited Four Corners ER on Friday for the first time.I am very impressed.From the moment I was greeted by the receptionist,the wait to be seen was like less than a minute.The reason I went was I fell.The entire staff is awesome and it is a great facility.I went there again this morning with a nasty migraine.The staff again was friendly and caring.I was there a little over an hour so they could get my migraine to go away.I highly recommend this ER if you live in the area. read more

Note: this is only rated 1 because you cannot comment without a rating. There are some serious issues with this 'religious' based organization. My husband headed over to the intersection of 429 and 192 for the AdventHealth Urgent Care Center to take care of a stye on his eye. Given he rarely accesses medical care, he did not recognize the difference between AdventHealth ER and AdventHealth Urgent Care Center. Upon arrival the front desk processed him in, not mentioning anything about 'this is an ER' or any guidance that urgent care was more appropriate. Given a woman doubled over in pain from an appendicitis compared to a stye, you'd think they would mention something. However, he was seen, sent on his way, until the front desk told him that this ER visit would cost him $2500.00 or whatever remainder on his deductible. Seriously? Again, he never accesses care so other than a physician office, they all look the same to him. We proceeded to contact the corporate office immediately following the visit to express our concern before billing and fighting over the cost, but received no response. There are other avenues we plan to pursue but would prefer AdventHealth to do the right thing; like they presumably do at Disney World. All we can suggest is use Orlando Health for any non- office based services or BayCare in Polk county, if you have the option. read more

The receptionists was the most nasty women I have ever meet in my life. So rude to my self then and older couple who came in and ended up walking out because she made them feel there situation wasn't an emergency. Never will I return. Also the dr and nurses are just talking about patients loud in the open. I can tell you why a child was there and another patients acucheck. Another guy going for a Ct. What happened to patient confidentiality? The Dr was called in to bed 7 and his response was which is bed 7. Also when I checked in she took my license and I offer my insurance information and she said oh we don't get that till after you see the Dr. sounded very shady to me. How can you not tell me if you take my insurance or not before I am seen. I have never heard of that in my life. I have a life threatening illness and so does my son. So this ER trip wasn't the first time I've been in an ER. Always have been asked for insurance and Id before you are even given a bracelet. Stay far away from this place read more

This is the worst ER I've been to. After it being recommended to me by the doctors at an urgent care that I go to an ER instead, they by name recommended this emergency room. The waiting room was fine place was clean. But the nurses and doctors I interacted with were iffy. I went in for severe Back pain, dizziness, and fainting episodes. The nurse did not ask me what I was in for or what my pain level was once. She spent about a total of five minutes in the room with me taking my vitals. Then nothing. I waited about 30 minutes to be seen by the doctor, who also did not ask me about my pain did not ask me how I came to have this amount of pain and did not even let me finish the story about why I was sent to them rather than staying at urgent care. The doctor put a small amount of pressure on my back and when I told him that's what the pain was. And tried to explain to him that I had been fainting, he told me it was from the pain, I tried to explain to him that I've had much worse pain and similar experiences to what I was experiencing at the moment and have never felt dizzy or fainted from them before. He just kind of blew it off and told me they were going to give me three different shots in my back to help. The doctor spent less than two minutes with me. it took another 30 to 35 minutes for the nurse to come in with the shots. I tried asking her what the shots were for. She did her best to explain the names and the purpose. Then she goes on to tell me that one of the shots is going to give me a burning sensation where it's administered. I asked her which one it was and she just shrugged her shoulders and said I'm not sure I've already filled the syringe is it's one of these three though. I felt very unheard and felt like they were treating me as someone they just wanted to get out of the ER. I will never go back to this ER. I recommend that if you are looking to go to an ER avoid this one so you get a better experience than I had read more

This place is NOT the heart of Florida! This was truly the worst experience I've ever had at an ER, and I have three children and have unfortunately had to go to many ERs in my time. From moment I arrived with what I was certain was broken foot and big toe was told by a upset tearful patient that this place is a joke and they are the worst place ever I thought I at least need to give them benefit of the doubt and they are two lights from our resort! The staff were only nice because they had to be. It was obvious but I wasn't there to make friends or have a great experience! I told nurse I'm pretty sure I broke foot toe so after hour waiting finally got X Rays and then waited another two hours and asked nurse how much longer it would take to read my X Rays she said oh yeah you do have fractured foot/big toe. I asked if I could see the images and was told rudely No absolutely NOT! Finally after several hours passed I asked the nurse if they were going to come back in and do anything, she rolled her eyes , left , came back 20 minutes later with a blue and white shoe thing that didn't even cover or protect my foot and toe and it was clearly not the correct medical instruments needed I said ok I'm going to leave and discharge myself, I guess! The Doctor said What is the problem, I proceeded to explain to Doctor what had transpired and she said We don't have any boot or cast and No we don't have to give you a copy of your X Rays . She discharged me and sent me on my way and I left feeling like I was stupid and beneath everyone there! It truly was worst experience ever. My primary care physician explained later that I do have every right to ask for copy of my X Rays and the shoe I was given was not correct and great chance it was making things worse! It was. He then hooked me up with tools I did need! Thank Goodness and he said call back up there and ask for copy of your X Rays . I did and Jessica a receptionists proceeds to tell me Yes you can request a copy of your Images just need to sign and it takes about 30 minutes to download on disk! I then explained that I was told I couldn't get that when I originally was there she put me on hold for Kim the manager, Kim hung up on me twice and finally Jessica said I'm walking to her office and having her answer your call then after speaking to Kim for few moments she said I am not going to sit here and listen to you talk bad about my staff and establishment, I said I am just telling you the issues I have had with said establishment and she said I'm done I'm hungry I'm going to lunch have a nice day! SHE HUNG UP on me!!! Kim the manager hung up on me because she had better things to do like eat lunch then try and make a patient feel better or even apologize for anything that might have happened! This place is the absolute worst place I have ever seen in my entire life and I pray you don't waist your valuable time or money on a place that won't treat your issue or problem and do it in the worst way most terrible bedside manner ever and then when you call back to ask for copy X Rays that you know you have right to see and have copy of the Manager hangs up on you because she needs to eat lunch and your trash and beneath her! Kim Karma is a bitch and so are you! Oh and I got the bill --- ready for this onegg after all that horribleness and worst experience imaginable I got a lovely bill of over $2000 for nothing! Please don't ever go to four cornersER beside WaWa on corner of 192 and Avalon!!! I would rate this place a 0 if possible and Kim you need to be fired and maybe a job at a restaurant would be more your avenue! read more
