My daughter attended Adventure Bay eight years ago and every time we are in the Publix plaza, she has nothing but fond memories of her time there and says how one day she wants to go back to volunteer. It is very clean, the director and teachers are very nurturing. They actually prepare these little ones for Kindergarten and keep parents involved. She participated in ballet and violin. My child did not have a great experience here. She cried at drop off everyday for 2 months straight. Never happy . In the 2 months she had 6 different teachers. They aren't caring or affectionate. Just felt like a hostile environment. My daughter was constantly sick. She caught HFM disease. And every time I mentioned that they need to clean and sanitize . They just sprayed with Lysol. There are no words for just how amazing this daycare is. Specifically Ms. Luz in the infant room. She goes above and beyond for the babies and I just know my daughter is in excellent hands and is having fun!! We have had our youngest daughter at Adventure Tek (Adventure Bay Early Learning Center) for 2years now and our second daughter started there a few months ago and couldn't be more happy. They have an excellent curriculum that challenges our 2.5yr old, the teachers all care for the children as their own and the administration is extremely caring and manage the school well. Mrs. Becky in the baby room is funny, caring, loving and really gives special attention to the little ones. When we come to pick up our baby (who is often the last one there unfortunately due to rough work schedules) we always walk in to Mrs. Becky holding our baby girl, singing to her, laughing with her and most importantly having her engaged. Our 2.5year old has been from the infant class through to the 2's and we have had some amazing experiences with her teachers and the staff. Administrative staff greet and joke with her coming in every day and leaving. They give her stickers, ask if she brought them lunch (jokingly) and give her hugs. In the class room they use STEM curriculum, she is able to count from 1-20 in English and Spanish (Japanese also but that's because she speaks it at home). We get pictures of both of our children through an app called Tadpole so we know what they did during the day and we can talk about it with our lils over dinner. They also track what they ate, how many times they went potty, how long their naps were etc. All really important information. There is no scarier thing than putting a child to daycare for the first time and we can't describe the relief we felt when we first met the administrative staff and our child's first teacher. My wife and I recommend Adventure Tek to our friends and are happy to leave this review to help others in the search for a great day care. They are not easy to find. read more

I absolutely love AT not only did my older daughters attended VPK which they run an amazing VPK program, but now after many years I have enrolled my newborn as well. I couldn't think of another day care that will provide such a lovable and amazing care to my little one. I know that my newborn is well taken care off. MS Becky is simply the best when it comes to the infant classroom. I had the pleasure of working at AT for many years and Ms. Adrianne is a lady of many hats she is always happy and always ready to help out in whatever anyone needs. Ms. Maria the owner is so active in the school and always making sure that they provide the best quality program to the families and always guiding the teachers to become even better teachers. Not to mentioned she ran a VPK class last year, (this is very rare as owners are not always so active at the preschools). As a former employee here I can say this school is certainly far from what I would consider a "good school" I only worked here for about 5-6 weeks but in that short period of time I experienced a lot of things that I did not like. Please be mindful I worked at a Montessori preschool before this one for over a year and a half and I currently work at a K-8 charter school and have never witnessed or experienced half the things I did with this company... From an employee perspective... You're not allowed to have a personal day even if it's a family emergency. Both the owner Maria and the director Adrienne are beyond entitled, rude, nosey, and non understanding... I once had a family emergency to attend to and Adrienne openly verbally expressed to me that she felt my emergency was non important and that I should've been at work instead... not to mention a few weeks prior I had a severe medical procedure preformed and she still begged me to come into work even after I told her the severity of my situation. You can be sick as a dog or just got into a car accident and Adrienne and Maria will STILL BEG you to come in. They also expect you to do all of the housekeeping for the entire company instead of hiring a cleaning person like most schools do. They'll hire you for one position/classroom and make you float wherever they please instead of putting you where you were hired to be. The director is also very rude to her employees and has a slick mouth. She's known to talk to you like you are slow and incompetent which is very unprofessional and just plain rude and unnecessary. They also don't even have direct deposit which honestly is just weird and inconvenient. My last paycheck was supposed to be mailed but after a week since payday I still hadn't received my paycheck so I called Adrienne and she told me she mailed it, a week later goes by I still don't have the paycheck and she texts me saying she forgot to mail it by mistake........ I went all that time without my paycheck because she forgot to mail it lol. Wouldn't have be an issue if they had direct deposit. And lastly, there was a 4 year old boy who physically assaulted me and another teacher which I could tell by everyone's reaction, was very normal and reoccurring for them. He pulled our shirts, punched us in the back and legs, but us, and kicked us... The director Adrienne was informed of this ongoing incident, and did nothing. He was not sent home early or suspended or held accountable for this at all. Which makes me as a teacher feel unsafe and not protected by my employers. This was my final straw with this job. From a parent's perspective.... They'll hire ANYONE. A lot of these teachers do not even speak English. Which means they are unable to teach, read, or communicate with your children. They can't even ask your children "what's wrong?" When they hurt themself or if another child hurt them because they do not read, write, speak, or understand English... I started working there the day after I interviewed which I found weird because at the time they didn't even have or ask for my social security card, ID, or any of my childcare credentials which makes it feel like they'll pretty much just hire anyone. They refill the children's water bottles with water from the sink they wash their hands in... instead of buying a proper filter water like most small daycares have. When they are short staffed they throw the children anywhere to try and make the classes stay in ratio but it's harmful for the children because they're consistently being moved class to class, they have no stability and consistency which is non beneficial for the children. They can't get used to a teacher or the other children in their class because they're constantly being switched to a class that isn't even their age group just to make classes stay in ratio because they're short staffed. There's so much more, this school is honestly horrible. All in all, this is a horrible school to work at and an even worse school to send your children to. Hope someone finds this helpful. read more

I don't even know where to begin but I will first start off with the office staff as that is the first people you deal with once you walk in the door. The staff at Adventure is always polite and super helpful. Mrs. Adrianne has been there for many years and treats all of staff, parents, kids and guest like they are family. Amazed they are still in business! Wish i could give them LESS than 1 star! The new owners are horrible, treat the employees awful, no supplies at all from what i can see. Parents are constantly asked to bring in items that tuition should definitely cover! Like art supplies, cleaning supplies, paper?? If I could leave 0 stars I would. The owner Maria is horrible I would never want her around my child again. Every week there were new teacher how can a child learn with out consistency? I'm guessing the teachers leave since the owner treats her employees horribly.l even in front of the parents and students...if she treats her employees like that imagine how the kids get treated. This school discriminated against me. They have a small handful of black students for reasons of tokenism. I inquired in person and the director told me they had no space for additional students and I called a few days later without giving my name and was told "yes, we have space". My child and I left out of state for several months and upon returning, I visited Adventure Bay once again. I couldn't believe I had the exact same experience for the second time. I have reported this institution to the Board of Ethics within the School Board and will pursue this matter. I brought this issue to the Director's attention and she told me that Adventure Bay "WAS NOT THE SCHOOL FOR MY CHILD!" I am a college graduate, from a family of successful entrepreneurs and one myself. Our society is entering a time of diversity which includes America's first minority President. As a community we need to do everything in our power to discourage prejudice and discrimination. I am very upset that my innocent 4 year old had to face this saddening experience. My daughter has attended Adventure Bay for two years, she loves it and always runs to her classroom. We recently made the decision to also enroll our son. I have read some of the other reviews and agree with some statements and disagree with others. I was a bit surprised by the one review which stated the Director discriminated against a potential student based on his/her race. That has not been my experience. My children are of mixed race and I have never felt they have been discriminated against. Also, the student body is very diverse; a reflection of the local community. The Director has consistently treated us very well. She is always open to discussing any questions or concerns I may have and is very flexible. I cannot say enough good things about her! In giving an honest review, I will say that initially a recent change in ownership had given me some concerns as some changes to staff and policies have taken place. However, we were able to have a face-to-face meeting with the new owner and have an open/frank conversation about her vision and plans for the Center. She genuinely listened to my feedback and my concerns were addressed. The facility itself is always clean and vibrant! They also offer swimming lessons and ballet/dance lessons for an additional fee. read more

LACK OF MORALS FOR A FEW DOLLARS. WOULD NOT TRUST MY CHILD THERE. WILLING TO THROW CO-WORKERS UNDER THE BUS...... MARIA, THE OWNER, WILL DEFINITELY BE THE REASON THIS SCHOOL GETS SHUT DOWN (MUCH SOONER THAN LATER)............. Adrian, the Director, gave my husband and I a wonderful tour of the school and was very thorough explaining things to us. When we inquired about payment for the upcoming school year (2016 - 2017) beginning August 22, we were told that if we would be paying monthly (weekly and monthly rates being available), the month of August would be "prorated". Prior to leaving, we once again inquired about the prorated amount we would have to pay so we would be able to have the check written out prior to coming the next day. We were told by Adrian that she would have the amount for us tomorrow when we returned. When I returned the next day, my dealings were primarily with Maria "The Owner". I was then informed that I would have to pay the weekly rate times 2 for the remaining 2 weeks in August. And, starting in September, I would then be able to pay monthly. When I inquired as to why I was being charged that amount, Maria (fast/slick talker) attempted to explain that since my son would be starting August 22 and there was only 8 days left in August, we would be charged the weekly rate times 2 and then start paying monthly in September. Being that I had my 2 kids with me and was trying to keep an eye on them, I couldn't really process/address what Maria was telling me. Once I got home and crunched the numbers myself and ran it by my husband, we realized that we were being overcharged a little over a hundred dollars. I called the school and spoke to Adrian. She said she would get back to me. When I didn't hear from her, my husband went to the school to inquire about being overcharged. Prior to addressing Adrian, my husband ran into to Ms. Barbara at the front desk. Bless her heart - Ms. Barbara. My husband explained the situation to her and she immediately pulled out her calculator and was able to "pro-rate" the month of August and come up with the exact amount of overpayment that my husband and I came up with. When my husband finally spoke to Adrian, he was told that she would have to speak with the owner, Maria, to see if the Month of August can be "pro-rated". My husband left. The remainder of that day, no one called. When I called the next morning (Maria nor Adrian was available). I was told that I would have to pay the weekly rate times 2 for the remainder of August and beginning in September, I would be able to start paying monthly. I asked why August was not being "pro-rated" like we were told and kept getting the run around. The lady I spoke with took down my number and said that she would give Adrian the message to call me back. When I didn't hear from Adrian (after 6 hours), I called up to the school. After being given the run around, Maria finally got on the phone. I was explicitly told that August would not be pro-rated and indeed we would have to pay the weekly rate times 2 for the remainder of August. She then proceeded to say that she was feeling "uncomfortable" with the way things were starting off and she would be happy to return our check to us. I kindly said o.k. and I would be coming to pick it up. When I got to the school, Maria stayed in her office. I did see Adrian who did apologize. But then, she had the nerve to ask me "who told me that the month of August would be pro-rated?" I thought that she was maybe trying to save face, but when she asked me if it was Ms. Barbara that told us that the month of August would be pro-rated, I was in shock. I got my check - said thank you and left. Would not trust my child with folks who would lie/cheat for a few dollars. Would not trust my child with someone is not willing to own up to what she said and would then throw their co-worker under the bus........ read more

I recently left working as a teacher for Adventure Bat.Although I gave my boss am I notice she asked me not to say anything To the parents in my classroom or to the other employees that I was leaving I left on my last day of employment to find out that she went and told the parents in my classroom that I just up and left the saddens me. Anytime that I've ever had requested a day off I was always told I couldn't have it but yet the other teacher in the classroom that I worked with was allowed to go and come as she pleased any project that I did for my children in my classroom was out of my own pocket because of Intertech doesn't reimburse you for supplies needed to run your classroom it's expected that you pay for it out-of-pocket I will truly miss my children because of the reason I stayed as long as I did I feel that the company disrespects certain employees and with other employees on a pedestal my choosing to was because of the way the center was ran.As for my parents I am sorry because Miss Adrian did tell me that she was going to send everyone of you guys out a letter and not to say anything to you read more

My daughter has been attending this day care since August and I have been very pleased with how caring and friendly everyone is at this facility. The price as indicated by the previous review is similar to different day care's around the area. So i don't see what the big deal is. As to the turnover, so far i have not seen anyone taking care of my daughter quit and everyone seems to be happy to work there. Very happy with this school. Both of my kids have been attending here and we've been very happy about being part of the Adventure Bay community for more than 5 years. My daughter was so excited about learning and going to school every day when she was attending, now she is going to start second grade and she still missed her old teachers from Adventure Bay. My son just finished his VPK year and now both are attending summer camp and they love it.That says a lot about a school when you see the children so happy and develops the love to learn. We're very fond of the entire staff. It's a small community so all of the parents know each other even if your child is in another class. The Principal, Mrs. Adrienne, always gives a smile and help me when ever I need it, and Mrs. Barbara in the front office, she is a blessing, always trying to help parents with whatever they need. This is my daughter's second year at Adventure Bay (now Kinder Clues Academy II), and we are very happy with the level of care and education she is receiving. As an educator with and first time parent, I meticulously interviewed and visited 16 preschools from Planation to Coral Springs to find the right fit for my daughter. Adventure Bay met our needs in just about every aspect. A year and a half later, I am still confident in my decision placing her there. The staff is very caring, and most importantly, concerned with parental input. The school is diverse in nature, and the teachers do an excellent job at covering curriculum from all cultures- especially during the holidays. We are very impressed with the initiative the school takes to lead the industry in up-to-date curriculum and keeping the kids challenged on a daily basis. As of recent, they have implemented extra classes, such as Ballet, to broaden the scope of instruction. I truly believe that my daughter will have a advantageous start to grade school as a result of the preparation the school strives to provide. The school recently went under new ownership, and the pride she has taken in revamping both instruction and aesthetics is clearly an indication of her passion to make the school better. I have no hesitation in saying this is the best preschool in the area, and give it 5 stars across the board.
