He weighs about 90lbs and struggles with reactivity (excitement and pulling when he sees other dogs/people) and he did not consistently obey commands (especially "heel"). Elaine was patient, consistent, and very communicative. She took the time to ask us what issues we wanted to focus on, and then was able to come up with a highly effective training on the spot. She was able to get him to follow commands that even surprised us (including getting him to "place" onto a picnic table). And by the end of the session, we walked him around and had zero issues with pulling or reactivity, even when there were dogs and kids nearby. It was impressive to see so much progress in such a short time. Throughout the process, she explained everything she was doing, including the specific steps AND the purpose. She answered ALL of my questions with thoughtful and kind responses. And throughout the whole experience, she was extremely friendly. I would highly recommend her.

Before training, Forrest was a very playful and excitable pup who struggled with focus and discipline. He was easily distracted, didn't consistently follow commands, and had trouble behaving appropriately around children and other dogs. After spending two weeks with Elaine, our amazing trainer, Forrest came home a completely transformed dog! He's now obedient, focused, and confident -- even in high-distraction environments like parks and public places. He mastered six core commands and continues to respond beautifully to them at home. Elaine truly is a "dog whisperer." She's local (Murrieta), which made drop-off and pickup super convenient, and she went above and beyond to keep us updated. We received daily videos and photos showing Forrest's progress -- we looked forward to them every day and loved watching his transformation in real time. We are so impressed with Elaine's skill, patience, and dedication. Forrest is still the same silly, lovable dog we adore, but now he's also well-mannered, obedient, and an absolute joy to be around. Thank you, Elaine and Off Leash K9, for giving us the best version of our pup!

I was nervous and didn't know what to do, so I reached out to Epic Dog Academy. They scheduled a same-day consultation, which immediately made me feel supported. Sookie started the Honor Roll Program the following week. Throughout her training, her trainer Erin kept me consistently updated on Sookie's progress. Toward the end of the two weeks, Erin recommended keeping Sookie a little longer because she needed some extra help -- and I truly appreciated that honesty and care. If Epic Dog Academy didn't genuinely care, they could have easily sent her home, especially with the holidays coming up, but instead they did what was best for Sookie. I picked Sookie up about a week ago and, to be honest, I was nervous about bringing her home. Erin scheduled our in-home training session just three days after pickup, and even checked in with us after Sookie's first day home to see how we were doing. While Sookie had a solid grasp of her commands, we struggled with crate training at first. During our in-home session, Erin helped us work through those issues, and since then, crating has been easy and stress-free. Epic Dog Academy -- and especially Erin -- did an amazing job with Sookie. They've given her confidence, and she no longer panics when I leave. The attentiveness, support, and care they've shown toward both Sookie and me has meant so much. We truly couldn't have done this without them. I'm so grateful for Epic Dog Academy and look forward to continuing our journey with them. I know Sookie will only continue to improve and live her best life.

Don't Believe the False Facebook Posts - Epic Dog Academy Is the Real Deal…read more I need to share my experience because there's a lot of misinformation going around about Epic Dog Academy. If you've seen those Facebook posts linking them to animal abuse - please, don't believe them. I fell for those rumors myself at first, and I want to make sure no one else makes the same mistake. I had signed my dog, Obi-Wan, up for the two-week training program and was so excited. But right after I told a friend, she sent me a Facebook group filled with terrible claims about EDA. I panicked and immediately called to cancel. Vincent, the owner, was incredibly understanding and patient. He explained that all those claims were false and even showed me proof - including records exposing the people behind the posts as having serious legal and credibility issues, but even though I already paid and signed all the paperwork - he still immediately refunded me my payment to give me time to do additional research. This is something he could have pushed back on but didn't, which really showed me what a kind and understanding business this was. Even so, I made sure to do my own research before forming any opinions. What I found was truly alarming: the main individual behind that Facebook group has a documented history of serious issues, including animal cruelty charges (all public record). His daughter once briefly worked with Vince - the owner of Epic Dog Academy - many years ago at a completely separate business. Shortly after, Vince left to establish Epic Dog Academy with his wife, Olivia. To be clear, the two individuals who now run that Facebook group have no real connection to Epic Dog Academy. The false claims they're spreading about the owner are completely unfounded and unsupported by any evidence, plus most of the negative comments appear to come from people associated with them. Once I realized the truth, I re-enrolled Obi-Wan - this time in their day training program. I drop him off in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon. It gave me total peace of mind to see him daily, and I can confidently say that not only is he perfectly fine - he's thriving. The results have been beyond my expectations. Obi-Wan listens better than ever, he's happier, and he actually gets excited to go every morning. Erin, his trainer, is absolutely phenomenal. She's patient, knowledgeable, and keeps me updated every day with photos and progress reports through their app. Christy at the front desk is another gem - her warmth and understanding make every drop-off and pick-up a breeze. Every single person I've interacted with at Epic Dog Academy truly loves what they do, and it shows. They treat every dog like their own. I can say with complete confidence that my dog is safe, happy, and receiving the best possible training here. Please do yourself a favor - don't let false online rumors stop you from giving EDA a chance. Check things out for yourself. I'm so glad I did, because Epic Dog Academy has completely transformed my dog's behavior and confidence. It's been worth every single penny (and I signed up for the Honor program!) I have given EDA permission to share my number with anyone who is hesitant to sign up. I'd be happy to share my experience with you if needed. -- Pictures of Obi-Wan were sent to me through the EDA app during his day training!

My journey in training Emmy for my second Mobility Service Dog began when she was eight weeks old. She arrived from a breeder who places 40-50% of their puppies into Service Dog roles, and prior to seeking ADI, I had training support from multiple sources including my experience from working with my first Mobility Service Dog. From the very beginning with Emmy, I wanted to achieve the ADI standard and acquire certification for international travel. But finding an ADI where I felt supported and nurtured in my goals and training style proved to be more difficult than I could have ever imagined. Initially, Emmy and I joined another ADI program that ultimately proved to be out of alignment with our goals and training style. In spite of that disappointment, I did not give up my dream of achieving ADI, and in time, discovered Canine Support Teams' program. I was forthcoming about our previous ADI experience and commitment to a 100% reward-based training style. I was excited to meet them, but privately, I was still finding it difficult to trust another organization with our energy, money, and time. Thankfully, I quickly realized during our first meeting that the people at CST is what makes their program so very special. From the initial conversation with me and formal temperament test they performed with Emmy, to our base-line PAT at the local pet supply, their sincere kindness was apparent, and I felt my tension and uncertainty ease into the knowing that I had found a safe place to grow with my dog. On entry to the program, I received a structured, yet personalized, six-month training plan. I greatly appreciated the formality and structure, because unlike our first ADI experience, Canine Support Teams' professionalism was apparent in every aspect of their behavior and program. We were paired with Genevieve as our lead trainer, and throughout our program, I was continually impressed by Genevieve's mindfulness and care to maintain a safe space for Emmy and me to continue to grow. The compassion, thoughtfulness, and talent with which she approached our sessions really blew me away. Her kindness and understanding of my specific task needs for Emmy as well as her commitment to a reward-based training style with Emmy made me feel super supported. In short, we felt not only seen and heard, but respected and honored. We also had the opportunity to work with two other CST trainers: Helena and Da'Von each brought something magical to our success. During our program, we had multiple opportunities to work around other teams with various disabilities, working roles, and training styles as well as dogs of multiple different breeds and experience levels. With everyone's help, Emmy and I exceeded our goals. Today, we are such a polished team - and I very much enjoy the experience of being out with Emmy doing our thing with the confidence that comes from being supported by a solid program that is committed to sincere and mindful communication and guidance.

My partner and I found the Canine Support Team though the Assistance Dogs International (ADI) program after doing research into what working with an 'ADI certified trainer' actually entailed, and didn't regret our experiences at all. I had full confidence in the training they provided for me and see the changes that it has made on my day to day life. They really do hold every dog to a higher standard. They are honest about whether a dog actually has the temperament and focus for full-time work. It isn't a participation only environment, effort is needed and at times, for us, it definitely felt like a full time job to train. Our trainer, Genevieve E., was a fantastic listener, incredibly talented, and super accommodating in our experience. She helped us navigate the training 'lows' with personalized coaching that never felt like a generalized script. You can tell she is genuinely dedicated to her craft and always growing her own skills. She gave us so much confidence, especially during frustrating lows, and guided us through our training highs! The Training Director, Shara B., went above and beyond from our first meeting, even providing extra lessons and her Puppy Raising 101 manual to help us understand the effect between training, our behaviors, and dogs' behaviors. She consistently shows up and the way was constantly adapting the program to provide better training, hands on lessons, and outside class experiences shows that. If you want a team that is patient, cares about the bond you have with your dog, and the quality of training. I would recommend the Canine Support Team!
