Brought my dog here for boarding. When I came to pick her up, I was informed that she was peeing on herself repeatedly. Come to find out, the staff was leaving her in her cage the whole time! I came here because someone on our community page had recommended them. We've been taking my dog to a big chain store to get groomed. They've done a great job overall, but I wanted to support a local small business. I decided to give Canyon Canines a try. From the minute you walk up, they make you feel welcomed. My dog's name, as well as the other dogs that were coming in that day, had their name written in the front. I thought that was cool. I was checking in and i ran into a hiccup, completely my fault. I overlooked that they need the parvo as well as the bordatella shot. In the big store. They only asked for the rabies. I went quickly to the clinic and was back in no time to have my dog groomed. The timing was quick. My dog was ready to go within 2 hours. When I picked her up, they told me about her behavior and some recommendations (as my dog was nervous in there). After years using a shop in downtown Golden and lately finding the grooming quality to have gone downhill (a bloody toenail last time), it was time to move on. Never liked the shop owner but the groomers were always so good, then some months ago they disappeared. So on my neighbors recommendation, who've used CC for a few years now, we booked a grooming. We sent them her vaccine history on a Sunday and received same day super attentive service to get that approved and book an appt. Turns out our two favorite groomers from the Golden shop, Jen and Amber, now work at CC! Jen came out and greeted our dog who remembered her for sure and she was very happy. She doesn't need a clip as she's short haired but $85.00 covered bath, deep coat comb out, ears, nails, glands and a toothbrushing, which for all that is very reasonable. My biggest compliment, she did a great job on her teeth, got rid of a lot of the brownish tartar that had built up. Really great job! We'll be coming here from now on and we're looking at doing some boarding too, it's such a great facility and staff. read more

I love Canyon Canines, I have never heard of anyone who has ever had a bad experience here. Our dogs need their nails clipped at least once a month and my dogs always needed to be muzzled until they started coming here. While waiting for our dogs you can see the other dogs interacting and playing together in their daycare area having a good time. Found Canyon Canines on Yelp with good reviews so I thought I should check it out. Was able to schedule a grooming for my frenchie for 2/07/2021 at 4:30 PM. On the day of her grooming, I decided to call this place to see if they have an earlier appointment. My first 3 attempts to call were canceled and was finally able to speak to Mario on my 4th attempt. Per Mario, there is no earlier grooming appointment available but will let me know if there is any cancellation. Discussed with Mario that I would like to add a daycare service since I would need to drop her off earlier than her scheduled appointment. Mario stated it was fine and that my dog would need to pass an evaluation test first in order to be accepted into daycare. Arrived at the Canyon Canines around 2 PM. Was assisted by Monica. My frenchie was brought inside for her evaluation, which she passed. Prior to leaving, I asked Monica how long was the grooming going to take. Per Monica, it's an hour. Monica indicated that they closed at 5:00 PM today but since my dog is scheduled at 4:30 PM for her grooming that she would need to be picked up by 5:30 PM. Received a text from Canyon Canines at 4:29 PM stating "Kylie is ready to be picked up in 10 minutes! Please pick up within an hour." (Screenshot attached). My family and I were in Temecula Mall at the time I received the text. We quickly finished our food and started walking to the parking lot. At 5:05 PM, I received a call from Christy at Canyon Canines letting me know that Kylie was ready to be picked up. Let Christy know that we were on our way and would be there in about 25 minutes or less. Christy then raised her voice stating that they were already closed and that we would be charged the extra fee. Yes Christy, I understand this place closed at 5:00 PM. I was made aware by Monica when I dropped off my dog. However, it was not communicated to me that she would need to be picked up by 5:00 PM. My understanding is that if her grooming was an hour long, then she would finish at 5:30 PM if she started at 4:30 PM. Arrived at Canyon Canines at 5:29 PM and was assisted by Mario. Christy once again yelled at us. Mario - I guess all I needed to hear from you at that time, as the owner, is an apology for how your staff had treated us. This was truly demeaning. The way Christy presented herself to us upon our arrival was very unprofessional. We've been taking our 5 month multipoo to canyon canines for the last couple months and to say that we are grateful to have found them and how amazing all of their staff is, is an understatement! We are In the process of adopting a baby out of state so have been doing a lot of traveling and have had to board him for an extended period of time as well as daycare during the day, usually on a whim when our work schedule flips and they are so considerate and are able to get him in! We've also had him groomed here and we were so pleased with his cut! Everyday/night he is there they email us a report card with pictures and video! They have someone on staff 24 hours a day!!! Which was a huge one for me !! Every-time we pull up our little man gets so excited ( which we all know is a good sign !) also their prices are very reasonable, and they are up front about their prices and have a great and easy to use online booking system which i love!! When I picked up my dog, he was soaked. I dont know what happened. He was soaked and not just his paws. I don't understand what happened. When we got home he couldn't hold his pee. He waited by the patio door for me and couldn't hold his pee. He peed so much it got to my rig. I don't understand how he could've had so much pee. Do these places not have dogs pee???? I felt so bad for my dog. And the service from The front desk was nothing short of subtle rude. She didn't even seem like she was a dog person. She's a rescue and was super skittish of people, but after taking her to Canyon Canines for a few months she's opened up so much! She used to run away from anyone that approached her, but now she's so much more receptive to people. She even let Mario (one of the owners) hold her, which is huge because she hated men! I've recently moved and it's been difficult trying to find a doggy daycare that I trust to take care of Oreo. I really wish I could've brought Canyon Canines with me. I'm even more appreciative of them now that I know they're one of the few facilities that do everything right! Clean, caring facility conveniently located in the East Port center in Canyon Lake! There haven't been any other boarding or day care centers anywhere near here, so I am thrilled to have one so close by. It makes me feel so comforted to know that their center is staffed 24/7 in case of emergency. All their staff members are CPR & 1st Aid certified, and they are just dog lovers - really makes a pup parent feel at ease. I don't trust hardly anyone to care for my babies. I used to go to Christie to have my pups groomed when she was a solo groomer. Now that they've expanded their business, I am able to use them for so many more things. My dogs used to hate being left alone, and now they come home absolutely exhausted from the fun they've had. I get daily report cards with photos and personal notes, which makes being apart so much easier. I truly love this place and would recommend them to anyone! read more

Brittney is absolutely horrible!!!! I've never been so disgusted In customer service before. I called last week to get my dog in for daycare and they let me know he needed to update his shots, so I took him in and got everything done. I called back today to schedule him for this coming Tuesday and Brittany said he needed to be reevaluated because he hasn't been there in a year. I told her that no one told me that when I called the first time and that I'm leaving out of town for work tonight and won't be home until Monday night. I asked her if there was any chance that my dog could get evaluated in the morning on Tuesday, because it usually only takes 15-20 minutes and then after he's evaluated, if he could stay for daycare. Brittany said no... and when I asked her why she said because it's policy and it's stressful on the dog. I told her it's stressful on the dog? I just need him to be evaluated and if everything's good I will just leave and he can stay for daycare. I asked her if she could accommodate me since nobody told me that he needed to be reevaluated last week and all she did was argue with me and be extremely condescending. I asked to talk to the manager and of course she said she's the manager. Then I asked to talk with the owner and of course she says the owner isn't in until next week. I just couldn't believe the Customer Service I was getting and how she treated me. I was obviously in a bind and I don't think it is a big deal for him to just stay. He's an awesome dog and they always gave him great report cards when I took him in before. I would love to hear back from the owner since Britney wouldn't let me talk to her!!! read more

Being new to the area I found Canyon Canines. I'm so glad I jumped on getting my two huskies boys in because they LOVE it there! Everyone who works there is so nice and you can tell they are professionals, they truly enjoy what they do. We went out of state for Christmas and left our boys with them for 12 days, I missed them so much but Canyon Canines sent me report cards nightly of how the boys did, who they played with along with pictures and videos! I looked forward to these report cards and seeing how happy my boys where. I would highly recommend this place for your animals staying needs. My French Bulldog has been going to Canyon Canines for 4 months and we could not be happier! We have taken her for daycare, boarding and grooming. We have cats, so we only wash them 1-2 times a month, so took a whim on if they would even have services for them or allow them to be there. Staff was AMAZING.! Christie was super helpful. Have been looking for a place to get my cats bathed and absolutely nobody does around my area - granted this was a 20 min drive from me- and upon asking if it's okay to use the self wash for cats (which is rare they said but yes.) We brought them in and showed them the vaccination records, then they showed me how to use everything. Gave me shampoo to use with brushes and a drier as well were super helpful and understanding how awful washing cats could be and then just let us do our thing. 50 cents a min isn't bad at all only spent $10 for both. Will definitely be back 10/10 in my book.! read more

I just found out about this place when it was in my backyard the whole time. I brought my nugget here right before her major TPLO surgery the day after..I walked in and was greeted by Brie..I can't say enough great things about her. She sat with me chatted for 15 min and got nugget comfortable with her..told me it might take an hour or longer..and you could tell she is definitely a dog lover! I got a call not even 35 min later!!! She said nugget was great so I went to grab my beautiful squeaky clean baby with her nails trimmed and her anal cleared..lol ..nugget walked in with her tail tucked under and walked out body bumping me right there in the waiting area! She was so happy! I will definitely be back for grooming..however, overnight stays are very pricey compared to other places for the same amount and other places you can drop them off on the AM and pick them up before 5pm for the same cost as opposed to having to pick them up the next day in the am..but if u want to spend the money, this facility is super clean and you won't get better service! read more
