What impressed me most was his willingness to help outside the specific scope of the workshop--if we had a scuba-related subject we were curious about, he would work with us one-on-one to provide pointers or recommendations. It shows he's invested in the diver's overall success, not just checking boxes for the day's lesson.   He clearly cares about the curriculum and his students. He went over the allotted time both days to ensure we truly understood the material, and I wouldn't have shortened it by a single minute. Someone told us about this super cool couple from Key West that owned a catamaran and were docked in Ptown for the summer, and offered sunset charters for small groups. Our group of three booked a sunset sailing tour and it was the perfect Ptown experience. We brought in our own wine, and they provided snacks, let us play our own music and gave us our own cabin to store our belongings. The boat was huge, had paddle boats and kayaks. And an inflatable island with seats and cup holders! Lindsay and Tadd were truly incredible, fun and super accommodating hosts. They made the whole experience super laid back and pressure free - just what we needed. Highly, highly, highly recommend!

We arrived at 6, as requested, to find an open, unlocked, unattended shop reeking of cigarette smoke. Turns out start time, due to pool availability, had changed but nobody bothered to inform me. Once Chris arrived, things improved. And we had a "successful" Intro to Scuba lesson. Scuba is freaky. It's just not natural to breathe underwater. And even with a tank, mask and mouthpiece, breathing under water does not come naturally. Hence my use of "". Chris totally gets that and invited us back to give it a second try, at no additional charge. Chris is a great instructor, he totally loves scuba and wants to pass his love of the sport on to others. He also offers a scuba certification program. Though if you have never dived before, I definitely recommend the intro to scuba. It is WAY different than snorkeling. We've yet to make a decision as to whether or not to give it another try. That breathing under water thing. Freaky.
