I have never been to a range that won't let you have your gun holstered and loaded in my life. They also want to ammo in your mags, which is ridiculous. The retail side of the business is fine and full Is respectful and helpful staff. The range side is a different story altogether. The fat old man that was running the range is about as course as 40 grit sandpaper. Very condescending when talking to customers. The range rules are stupid. They want to check all your firearms and mag. If you preload your mags to save time loading while be charged by the hour at the range, this place will make you unload all your mags before you can enter. You should sell your used guns with a cheap cheap cheap (soft)case. So when you get that 30min free range time for buying a gun; you can actually walk into the Remington range with it and try it out. Then you don't have to worry about your customers spending target, eyes, ears and ammo money at another competitors establishment. I'm not going to buy a cheap pastic case just to utilize all your services. Why, when I bought a gun safe from you too? That makes no sense to have a cheap dusty case laying around not being used just to go to your range one time for a free 30min. Especially when the guns stay in a secure locker the rest of the time. Or , have a gunner take it to the range after purchase for you if the buyer wants to use it then. Or , make a one time exception for that 30min and have the buyer bring in the receipt associated with the purchased gun that he gets the 30 min free with. Even the folks at Governors were willing to walk out and carry the gun in for me since I had no case. Was told when leaving to walk out with breach open. Apparently I could just walk in like that to begin with. The issue - You send business elsewhere. Which irritates your customers, more than just me, because now we had to make 2 stops to make sure the used gun purchase actually works. Yes, me and another both bought used guns the same day. 24hours later we end up at the same range for the same reason. Both mentioning we couldn't even use the free range time. Also, why turn down money and give it to your competitor? Also, if your competitor will allow entry without a gun in a case while following additional rules. What's to stop the buyer from just taking the whole sell and range time to Governors or any other number of ranges/stores in the ATL Metro area? I spent over $300 at the range in time, ammo, targets. I'm sure the other fellow spent at least half that if not more. Also, update your online used gun listing more frequently. Took a list of Log#'s which takes time to go through just to be told that list is never updated and all 10+ log numbers couldn't be found. To be honest, my last purchase with Adventure Outdoors was a hot mess. Not looking to come back anytime soon. Regretted not getting the used AR from Governors in Kennesaw for the same price and a better transactional experience. Unfortunately I saw it after my purchase with A.O. I received excellent service from 7 employees in the short time I was there. This was my 4th firearm purchase and it's truly the only place to buy. When I walked into Adventure Outdoors, I was genuinely excited. I had heard great things about their wide selection of firearms, and upon entering, I was immediately impressed by the sheer variety of firearms and accessories available. Visually, the store lived up to the hype. However, the experience quickly went downhill. As I entered, one of the workers at the front saw me, made eye contact, and immediately turned and walked the other way. I brushed it off at first, thinking maybe it was a coincidence. I made my way toward the Beretta section, eager to browse. Despite the massive selection, there were only three people behind the counter--one helping a customer, one on the phone, and another just scrolling through his own phone in front of a computer. Eventually, one of them approached and asked if I needed help. I explained I was looking for a specific Glock model, which they didn't have. That was fine--I was still open to looking. But when I moved on to the Beretta section and clearly needed assistance, the older man who had been on his phone seemed more interested in showing videos to his friend than helping customers. When he finally came over, he asked if I had made a decision. I told him I was just browsing. Without a word, he turned and walked away. I stood there looking at the same display case for 20 minutes. When he finally returned, he opened the case and said, "Pick one." No information. No background. Just pick. Feeling awkward and pressured, I pointed out one that had caught my eye. Still, he offered nothing about the firearm. When I asked about the in-store range, he seemed annoyed. I asked if they offered any veteran discounts, and he flatly responded, "Only for active duty or retired," in a way that made me feel like my service didn't matter. I recently moved from New York, I asked about Georgia's gun laws. Instead of offering helpful insight, he brushed it off with a smug remark about how New York, New Jersey, and the northeast are basically "different countries" from the South. I asked if I needed anything to carry a purchased firearm legally, and he repeated the same information with even more frustration in his tone. At that point, I had already made up my mind--I wasn't buying anything. Even though there was a Beretta I was genuinely interested in, I couldn't justify supporting a store where the staff made me feel dismissed, disrespected, and like a burden for simply asking questions. Yes, they have a great selection. But customer service is just as important--especially when it comes to firearms. It should be professional and respectful, not an afterthought. No matter how long you've been in the business, treating customers like an inconvenience is unacceptable. My Nephew comes here all the time to purchase his Firearms, so I followed suit to purchase myself a new one. Once you make your way back to the gun counter that seems to cover the entire back wall of the store, there are specialists readily & available to assist. I like their service approach, if they see a customer not being helped, they'll ask if you need assistance. If that specialist walks away to another section to grab something or such, another specialist walking by will stop & ask if you need assistance. Not a rat race to get a sale but genuinely seeking if customers are being taken care of. To that end, with my Nephew & Son's comments in addition to three specialists concurring on the Smith & Wesson M&P9 that would be great for me, I took heed & purchased. I'm noticing with seasoning my previous 45 & Glock Firearms were recoiling too much for me. & I no longer feel bad as the insight provided to me today was that we have to pivot with gun usage as we age for safety & comfort purposes. After I completed the paperwork, another employee wearing an orange vest escorted me to the Ammo section. He shared insight on the various Ammo, I made my selection & he escorted me to Checkout. Alicia S., who verified my information & ran my background check had such a wonderful & engaging demeanor during the process. Not only with her customers yet co-workers as well. Plus, her experience & intellect on firearms, safety, precautions & of course the "rules & regulations" was an added benefit for me while I waited to get cleared. You'll save 3% if you pay with cash or check. To note, that same clearance takes place every time you want to purchase a Firearm. Within the store is a Remington 17 Lane Gun Range with various membership rates & packages. I am really conflicted with my review of Adventure Outdoors. There are some things they do really well, but some other areas where they are definitely lacking. First off, this is a gun store, not an outdoors store. If you need guns and ammo they have you covered. If you need camping, fishing, or other gear they have a small selection that may or may not be good quality or value. Second this is not a discount store. They offer some door buster specials that are a great value, but they do not promise to or deliver the best price on most of their inventory. If you are in the market for a specific gun, or a gun in general, they have the largest inventory anywhere. Odds are they have exactly what you need and they have it in stock. But they probably do not offer the best price. The selection is great, the price in my experience is high compared to other locations, but other locations may not have in stock what you need. This is especially true for ammunition. If you need a specific round for an older or unique weapon they probably have it in stock. You need some .35 Remington or .303 British? You have a nice 25-06 or 8mm x 57, they probably have what you need. But be prepared, because the price is going to be high. The biggest area where they fall short is customer service which in my experience just varies a great deal depending on when you come in and who you talk to. I have been in this store at least a dozen times. A couple times I have found an associate who knew exactly what I needed and was very helpful. A majority of the times I was overlooked and ignored while they socialized with their fellow associates or with customers they knew. I have spent a fair amount of money in this store and they do have an impressive selection. But at least half my visits have resulted with me leaving frustrated and spending nothing because I was unable to get a salesperson to help me. read more

Let me say, right off the bat, that I waited almost a whole month to post this review. I waited to cool myself off so I could write a more honest (not anger-fueled) review and to also give this store time to contact me and make it right. I also hardly ever write reviews so you can guess how mad I was... They never called so here we go... On September 9, 2023 my buddy from the navy and I decided to spend an afternoon at Adventure Outdoor's (let's call them AO) range, as I was a member. We brought a couple pistols, a shotgun (firing slugs) and my Savage 110 hunting rifle. We had about 25 rounds each for each gun. Enough for a solid hour+ of shooting on the lane we were sharing. Let me preface this next part by saying that we are both ex-navy, both awarded marksmanship medals for pistols and long arms and both 40+ dads: trying to say we were responsible and more than capable of hitting a target within that short (75' max distance) range, easy. About 1/2way thru our session one of the range officers comes up to me, points to some dust on the floor out in our lane and asks me if either one of us shot the ceiling ($200 fine is the consequence) I told the officer I was pretty sure that dust had been there when I got to the lane 30 min before but that I wasn't really sure as I hardly paid it any attention, just thought it was pieces of somebody else's target papers. The officer looked incredulous but didn't say anything else about it. He even stayed, breathing down our necks now, I assume to see how "terrible" we were shooting. He left after about 10 minutes of scrutiny (talk about ruining a range experience) and my buddy and I assumed he realized we were good shots and dropped it. When we finished up about 30 minutes later the head officer (I'm guessing he was in charge) told me I owed them $200 for the roof before I left. I told them it wasn't me. I gave them no reason to think me a liar, I never once lied to them about anything. All they had for "evidence" was some dust on the floor and their word against mine. They mentioned going to look at the security tapes but these guys already ruined my weekend, why would I wanna wait around for them to review security cameras? I told the officer "Cancel my membership right now. I will pay it and you'll never see me again." The officer looked taken aback and replied, "oh, so you're gonna pay it?" It's too bad too. In the 3ish months I was a member I bought from AO: 2 pistols, had an existing pistol upgraded by their shop, and ballparking $1k in ammo/accessories and now all they get outta me is this 1-star review because they held me responsible for someone (maybe even their own) else's mistake and valued that $200 more than me as their customer. I get that they gotta protect their property from bad shooting but before they go taking $200 from people they need to have their case complete. Have the security footage already ready to view. And if our shooting was so dangerous, why did they let us continue shooting for 30+ more minutes afterwards? If we can't even hit a man sized target at 25' (that's about where the dust pile was) than we shouldn't be shooting alongside other people but the officer quietly exited after studying our shots. I guess, in the end, what angered me the most, was the store valuing that ceiling charge more than my business. Absolutely awful experience. read more

Adventure Outdoors is a MASSIVE sportsman store located on South Cobb Drive about a block from the Windy Hill intersection. They claim two things...to be the greatest store, as well as the biggest gun store on earth. I would imagine that if you are an avid sportsman with an affinity for firearms that this would in fact be your absolute favorite store and while I have nothing to prove or disprove the size claim, but this store is huge...so, I will go ahead and give the title to them! In addition to all things guns and ammo, they also have apparel, archery, knives and a few other items. Additionally they offer a few services such as lessons, embroidery, engraving and training classes. I have visited here a few times scoping guns and one time to use the gun range, however they now require you to have a membership to use the range, so I have not fully utilized that part of the facility. Service has always been stellar. Everyone is always helpful, friendly and knowledgeable during every visit! Overall, Adventure Outdoor is a great store! I am still in the market for a gun and AO is at the top of my list for purchases! read more

Went here to get my AR worked on and the gunsmith isn't there when I arrive. I leave a very detailed description of what's going on with the firearm. It's my home protection piece. Luckily I finally make time to the range and the damn gun is still jamming after being in their possession for months. The length of time wasn't an issue but the wait and no correction is diabolical. Customer service is horrible. Manager needs to better train staff and people who are answering the phones. It has the potential to be a good gun shop but it's poorly ran with over priced guns and no customer service. People are attracted to them because they keep a pretty good stock, but as of lately you'll be luck to find one bullet in each caliber if that (actually recently bought some bad/ old ammunition from them last week) so I don't recommend. Overall the staffs attitude is some of the worst I've seen. You can find anything there cheaper somewhere else with way less hassle. I would recommend this place if you were to buy some ammo. I would say they do have a variety of different ammo that are cheaper than other stores. However, this is not what I am talking about today. I am a new shooter who just purchased a rifle and a pistol from them. However, I cannot reassure you that the rest of the team was all that friendly. Being Asian myself, I try my best to stay away from thinking it is discrimination whenever I encounter something that just doesn't feel right. But this time, it was a "bit" too obvious. I don't want to get into the specific time when this happened, but here is the story: My friend was planning on buying a shotgun just two weeks after he purchased a pistol from Adventure Outdoors. He picked a weekday afternoon and brought a few of our common friends with him, thinking that it would be entertaining to browse around and to have a smooth purchasing experience like last time. However, things kinda went on a tangent. Now, let me introduce our main character, I will call him Bigot from this point. My friend stood at the counter where Bigot was at for about 15 minutes waiting for the customer in front of him. After Bigot finished the purchase with the previous customer, instead of assisting my friend whom he knew was next in line and had been waiting for a while, he skipped right past my friend and went to greet another customer that literally just got to this counter. Luckily, the newcomer was just here to ask a few questions and walked away in a few minutes. Now Bigot is left with only the group of my friends. Nothing really wrong at this point right? This is where all the drama begins. As my friend started browsing through the different shotguns and asking questions to Bigot, Bigot suddenly started asking my friend and all his friends: "Are you all commies?" My friend thought he was joking and replied with a simple laugh. Later, a few of his friends separated from the group and left my friend and one of his friends alone with Bigot. This is where the conversation got nasty. Bigot started asking my friend: "where are your commie friends going? Do they not speak English?". My friend didn't bother to reply and just wanted to continue filling out the forms so he could get out of there ASAP. When he finished filling out everything, Bigot started doing cross-checks making sure everything was filled out correctly. And of course, he was able to spot some mistakes. Apparently, he wasn't happy with the way how my friend crossed the "Not Hispanic" and "Asian" checks under "identify your ethnicity". Here comes a funny statement from Bigot. He said to my friend: "If you are not hispanic, and not black, then you are WHITE!!!" My friend was in shock and thought that it was merely a joke. However, he soon realizes that Bigot seriously means it. So, he had no choice but to cross both Asian and White. Nothing more interesting than this afterward. So that's the end of the story. Hope this was an intriguing story. I am not saying every worker at Adventures Outdoor is racist. But, definitely do keep a part of this story in mind if you were to go shopping at this place, especially if you are not WHITE. read more

Spent over five hours here on a rainy Saturday just scouring all of the merchandise! If you are a hunter or enjoy being outdoors for fun related sporting, this is definitely the place to go! Lacking on other outdoor adventure type supplies. If you're a fisher or camper, it's quite limited. However, you have all sorts of guns and supplies (as well as a 17 lane range), some arrows (plus an area where you can get lessons for it), a gunsmith, silencers, ammo, cans and the like. Plus hunting blinds, tree stands, and all kinds of hunting paraphernalia. There are some lures, and some rods, and some clothing like camouflage, waders, and some sporting style shoes. There are some Green Eggs and related grill and smoking supplies. However, I came here for the fire arms and related supplies and I was absolutely not disappointed. They do have a small bathroom, and a restaurant type area that should be opening in the next month. I'll happily come back. Everything I need all in one place! read more

I ended up purchasing a Shadow systems DR920P and got the free handgun for Black Friday Zigana Px9 couldn't be happier with this free gun and gun purchased. Awesome place once your all done with your paper work you can easily go shoot your gun next door. My husband and I purchased 2 Taurus pistols and a shotgun from this store about a month ago! Based on the recommendations from the sales person, we bought the Taurus model G2C since we were beginners. We took the 9 mm pistols to my brothers farm to shoot. When we tried to shoot the G2C, it malfunctioned ... the sears malfunctioned. A very experienced gun person took the gun from me and pulled the trigger and nothing happened. Then, as he was turning around with the gun, it went off We were all terrified and I was not able to shoot any other guns out of fear! Today, we took the gun back to Adventure Outdoors and was treated as liars, low-life idiots and talked to by the Customer Service Manager, Reggie, like we had no sense! He was smug, condensing and rude! The young boy at the counter said, "You get what you pay for" and "If I gave into every customer, we would be out of business." There was no refund on a gun we just purchased that malfunctioned and is unsafe! This experience has been disheartening and very upsetting We were willing to even get store credit and buy a different gun; however, the offer was $100 credit on a gun we just purchased for $330!!!!!! read more

This really was an unfortunate and disappointing experience. It was my first time coming to the store. I was in town visiting from Miami. I was looking for a particular piece that has been hard to find. My brother-in-law recommended this store for their large selection. On arrival, I spoke with a gentleman at the gun counter. He was on the younger side, brown hair and brown beard. I asked if they had the gun, and was thrilled when he said yes! He proceeded to show me the gun, and I asked about the transfer process to get it back to Miami. He assured me there were no transfer fees charged by them, but the receiving store would probably charge. He said I needed to go talk to customer service to complete the process and then come back to him to get the gun. Walked all the way back to customer service and the woman looked at me like I was crazy and asked where the gun was. I told her they had sent me to her. She said she couldn't do anything without the gun. Okayyyy. That got me slightly annoyed. Like, wtf. Walked back to the gun counter and the guy was gone. Ended up dealing with another gentleman who was really wonderful. Older fellow. Real nice. He got me set up and I went back to Customer Service - this time with the gun. I fill the paperwork out and as I have my credit card in hand the woman advised the total- higher than the ticket price. I was confused and she then advised me that there is a $40 transfer fee they charge. I told her that they had confirmed at the gun counter there wasn't. She didn't seem apologetic at all and said that she would call back there but it was only to complain, cause the fee would still stand. To add to that, she then said "Oh, and if you're paying credit card I gotta charge you 3% extra". Girl, please. The gun went from $784 ticket to $895 with all their fees and taxes. Screw that. I could get the gun in Miami for that extreme price. What irks me most is the misinformation I received at the gun counter which resulted in a complete waste of my time, along with the complete lack of regard or customer service recovery. Had I been told from the start that they charged a transfer fee I would have said thank you and walked away. Instead I wasted over 30 minutes of my time being told by the gun counter there was no fee and to go to customer service without the gun. Being sent back to gun counter. Filling out paperwork. All. For. Nothing. I even spoke with the manager that was on duty (this was on Saturday @ 5 pm) to see if they could knock $20 off the fee or work with me in any way after all the poor service, but he just gave a lack apology and said no. Todd demonstrated that on my previous review and proceeded to follow me around the store for the next several months any time I visited. During tonight's visit, after finally getting a recommendation from someone who was helpful, I wanted to go look at the Dan Wessons. At 7:45 pm on January 23rd, 2023 at the FN/Dan Wesson counter, the lazy kid (this is my censored opinion of this individual) behind the counter was messing around on his phone, walked past me twice, proceeded to pull out an FN for another customer and start a conversation with that customer and another associate all while I was standing there waiting to see a gun. When he finally acknowledged me, I requested to see the DWX to which he replied "so, we're closing, so no." He then pulled out yet another FN and continued his conversation. I have to give it 1 star due to the rep advocacy to the ill equipped. I walked around the store looking for multiple products. All of the reps were well very helpful. A couple were lacking on customer service, but not a big deal. My big thing is I was at customer service lookin in trading in. A clerk at the front desk, told a woman, who said, "She had an anger issue", "To get a full arsenal". Not only that, but speaking fallacies and straight up misinformation of different state gun laws and persona. He was purely ignorant. (I lived in multiple states and took CHL courses in multiple states). If he is saying it then others around the store to do the same. Or there is an overall absence of gun law education, gun responsibility, and an overall lack of community care. I personally don't want my local gun shop to tell a deranged person to not just get one gun, but a whole arsenal after they said they have an anger issue. That has to be against compliance/laws somehow. I am a very experienced gun owner/operator. I do not like businesses to not only tell inexperienced owners such things, but anyone for that matter. I implore the owner to test and train their store workers to see what applicable knowledge they have in the sector. I would shop somewhere else if you feel safe amongst your shoppers and reps. P.S. the rep was male speaking to a female on California and Texas gun laws and personas (pretty sure he was speaking with his lil pistol). I ship things to family members in California and just moved from Texas to GA so I'm fully versed in gun laws and personas in both states. He was giving out blatantly incorrect info on both states. This was my first time visiting this store. I went with a friend, to give him advice on his first gun purchase. Jeremiah was the person who helped him. He was patient and gave my buddy very good advice, which helped with his selections. He ended up purchasing two handguns, along with many other things, such as two cases of ammo, gun cases, cleaning kit, etc. Other employees helped us as well, such as Brian, and all were very happy to assist. Our experience here was excellent, and I will return again. I buy all of my guns online, so I'm looking forward to their online sales again, which they said would be available in the next few weeks. read more
