Went white water rafting for the first time yesterday and had a blast! Our tour guide was knowledgable and definitely made the experience even better. (Thanks Jobo!) Since it was our first time, we did the express rafting trip from 1 PM to 5 PM. It was a great choice, and had many rapids and a few challenges! The scenery was beautiful and there were several small structures our guide pointed out to us. You go right under North America's largest arch bridge; seeing it from a different perspective was thrilling. One tip: expect to get wet! It sounds obvious, but there are opportunities to swim and you'll probably get soaked on the first rapid alone. We will be back for sure, ready for more! read more

I splurged on a weekend Lower Gauley whitewater rafting trip for my husband's birthday. The resort amenities were above and beyond what we were expecting. The staff were accommodating and friendly. We stayed in the Kaymoor 1BR basic cabin. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and we definitely appreciated the heat/hot shower after the rafting trip. We also really enjoyed the quality of restaurants and bars on site. The food was tasty albeit overpriced. There was a wedding on the Saturday we had reservations in the steakhouse. I guess the kitchen was slammed because my husbands food never came out. Our waitress, Jennifer, was extremely sweet and apologetic. I appreciated her sincerity and since it was my husband's birthday dinner . She handled the evening with a calm poise and professionalism that impressed us. The rafting trip was extremely well organized and we felt that we were with expert river guides (request Perry as a river guide!). The guide always provided a game plan heading into each rapid and we never felt overwhelmed or unprepared. The hot lunch provided with the trip was impressive. BBQ beef, chicken, and pork for sandwiches. Sides were mac n cheese, pasta salads, fruits and veggies. On the second leg of the trip, two of our raft's inhabitants fell out hitting the class V's. Perry was extremely calm and they were back in the raft so fast I barely realized they had fallen out. No one was injured and our trip resumed smoothly. I am so happy with how this organized weekend went. We will be coming back next year during Gauley season to try the Upper. read more

Zipline tours - 3 out of five just for the few rude hippy girls that work there showing the pit hair and the cost (without a coupon ). We arrived early and got yelled at thinking we were the late group that immediately upset us. But however, once our group formed and we had 4 amazing cool guides that were a blast. There are 8 zip lines and takes about 2 hours - the views are amazing one in particular is of the gorge bend as your as flying by in the woods. Highly recommend this if you can get a good groupon deal other than that you will have to fork out about 100$ a person, we found a deal for 2 at 160 on groupon which was worth it. I just recommend staying away from the hippy guide girls and have fun! read more

My friends and I came to WV for a bachelor party and booked several activities with Adventures on the Gorge and had an incredible experience with every one of them. We did the Zip Line Canopy tour, Paintball, and White Water Rafting. I loved Adventures on the Gorge! We took a whitewater rafting trip with another family, and it was amazing! Because of younger kids (10 & 12), we did the Upper New River tour, and everyone loved it! If you get the chance, definitely do the Timber Trek course. The service was great, and the front desk staff were very helpful. The whitewater rafting trip was everything we expected and more. It is well situated, right off the highway near the high bridge and basically across from the National Park visitor entrance. The grounds are beautiful and spacious with great views of the bridge and gorge and lots of places to sit, eat and relax. It was so nice to have such great outdoor spaces to hang out in times of COVID. Speaking of, the put-in and take-out points involve school bus rides, for which we wore masks. Ark was our guide and he had a great calming sense of humor while covering safety/paddling skills. Our family trip included our 10 year old as the youngest, who was apprehensive before getting in the boat, but by the end was asking for more and bigger rapids! It was about the right length of trip, with a nice lunch break. River was beautiful, water was warm (none of us fell out but there were a few stretches where it was safe to jump out and float). Floating under the high bridge at the end was a highlight. Will definitely do it again if we return to WV! read more

Did the half day on the lower New River. Great ride with tour guide, "Big Dog" Kevin. He knows the landscape and the history in addition to being a badass guide. He'll maximize your fun. Don't forget a change of clothes, because you WILL get wet. The scenery is as spectacular as the rapids. You'll want to try the Gauley after doing the New. If you're a golfer, stay at Glade Springs in Beckley. Raft in the morning and golf in the afternoon. read more

My boyfriend and I spent the day with 5 strangers ripping and roaring through the five class fives as well as many other, not to be underestimated, rapids housed along the Gauley River. This experience was nothing short of amazing and was definitely an awesome adventure during these COVID times. We would highly recommend purchasing the wet suit and jacket to accompany you on your journey, well worth the cost. We had the absolute pleasure of having Weekley as our raft guide for our trip. He did an astounding job coaching us through every single rapid we encountered, discussed his approach, and encouraged us along the way. Before getting into the water we practiced following through with a variety of calls "forward2, backward 1... etc" and he made absolutely certain we were prepared before embarking down the river. I personally really appreciated his advice before every rapid explaining where we should swim if we happened to be knocked from the boat on an upcoming rapid. We were not bucked from our boat throughout the adventure but Weekley as well as the other guides on our trip were ready to assist all participants on our journey, helping us to further believe that we were in fantastic hands. This company holds safety in the highest regard which makes having fun even easier!! I would highly recommend requesting Weekley on your next trip down the Gauley but I have no doubt that your trip with any of the guides at Adventure on the Gorge would be well worth your while!!! read more

Best experience of our lives. We did the tree top canopy tour and my son and I were the only two. Jake and Chris our guides were amazing. They we're enthusiastic and encouraging. The views, the adrenaline rush, just everything about it was amazing and left me speechless. I can't wait to do it again when my youngest son weighs enough. Since he didn't my husband and him went on the timber trek. They both loved it. It was challenging and a great bonding experience for them both. Afterwards, we enjoyed our afternoon at the pool and had some amazing views of the bridge and the gorge. It was an experience I will never forget. Did the Lower New River with Guido - we had a party of 8, and it was incredibly fun and peaceful. We can be a loud group, but the beauty of the gorge was incredibly quieting - and Guido was an expert and engaging guide. checked into a cabin today. zero hangers, zero plates/cups/bowls/ silverware, literally nothing in the kitchen and coffee pot had grounds in it. the pub on the resort uses all plastic. plastic cups for beer and cocktails, plastic silverware, tacky and horrible for the planet, wine is all from a box. read more

Did the Lower Gauley River rafting. Had the Beast time. The class 5 and 4 rapids are wonderful. The guides really know their way through them to make the trip exciting. The Lunch was a Big surprise for the quality of the food and different items. I going to do the Upper Gauley River my next trip. read more

I would highly recommend this company! We went white water rafting on the Upper Gauley late September for one of their last fall runs this past year. It was by far one of the most memorable experiences of my life. The kind of experience that you will be bringing up to whoever you go on this adventure with for years to come. The guides were very clearly experienced and professional, and made you feel safe on the trip which, to be completely fair, was a little nerve racking at times. We were fortunate enough to be paired with the leader, "Ray Ray", and after rafting with him, I never want to be paired with any other guide! There was a couple on our boat that had Ray Ray as a guide on another river earlier that week, and specifically requested Ray Ray again for the Upper Gauley run. I now completely understand why - Ray Ray was AMAZING. Even from the start, I knew that he was going to work his butt off to make sure that we got down that river safely and without flipping that boat. Ray Ray knew the Upper Gauley just like the back of his hand, and would tell us in detail about each possible hazard in the water, how to approach each rapid, and very specifically what to do if you fall out at each point. He was very competent, experienced, and professional - I really can't say enough good things about him. Ray Ray loves joking around and there was plenty of adult humor, so be forewarned! For me, this was a plus as it helped lighten the mood a bit in-between the intense "Big 5" rapids. After the Big 5, you stop for lunch along the river. The lunch was buffet style and there was a ton of food. Not a lot of vegetarian items, but I still was able to find plenty to eat and it was all very good. I observed a few other boats led by another company, which didn't seem to fair as well as our boats going down some of those rapids and they had a few close calls. There were a few white water rafting newbies on our boat as well as the other boats, some of which flipped. I would definitely NOT recommend this river for first timers! Try a slower river and get some experience first before taking on the Upper Gauley - it makes the experience so much safer for everyone on your boat if you know what you are doing! That being said, I have full confidence in the guides at Adventures on the Gorge to lead anyone through it. Just make sure you listen to EVERYTHING the guide tells you to do. The bus ride back was really kind of amazing - much different than the tense, nervous bus ride out that morning! Everyone was riding the high of being on those crazy rapids all day and making it through. The beers they passed around the bus helped make the mood even more jovial. The feeling of comradery and borderline elation was indescribable. After the trip, we all showered at the facility and then gathered at the Chetty's Pub on property for a drink and to watch the videos of each boat that day. And do yourself a favor, BUY THE VIDEO. You will thank yourself later after returning home and wanting to relive the experience. I have already watched the video no less than 10 times and shown it to several friends. I would HIGHLY recommend this experience for any adrenaline junkie, and to ask for Ray Ray to be your guide. read more

I truly debated writing this review. Last week while vacationing in WV we decided to use this company for our whitewater rafting trip down the Upper New River. Check-in seemed really disorganized and it took forever before we left to head out. They didn't inflate enough duckies (which we didn't want to use but were told we had to due to water levels) so my son and I missed important information on paddling, what to do if you fall out of the boat, etc. I was apprehensive about my 11 year old daughter with severe anxiety being in her own duckie but our guide, Amanda, was adamant that she would do great. So I allowed it. The first rapid my daughter flipped out of the duckie because she froze and stopped paddling and hit a pretty big wave. After that she stayed in the "lunch boat" which is fine. The lunch was great, we all enjoyed it. My son loved jumping from the "jumping rock". The guide took a moment before "Surprise" rapid (supposedly a class III) to give us some tips but made it sound super easy and fun. We were supposed to keep two boat lengths between us. I was following behind a friend and her daughter when suddenly a guy and his son came flying by us. He managed to bang into my friend and flip their boat and push me off further to the right of where I needed to be. Seconds before I hit the rapid I noticed a huge rock with a drop. I tried my best to steer left but we still hit the side of it along with a large wave. My son was thrown from the boat but popped right up and floated to a nearby boat. I, however, was not as lucky. I was thrown towards the rock and when I went under the boat went on top of me. There was a strong under toe that I kept getting sucked into and I couldn't get the boat off of me. I was swallowing a lot of water at this point and came to terms that I was probably dying that day. Luckily it was only a near-drowning experience for me. I am completely traumatized by the experience and am lucky I did not die. No one came to help me at all. My son has a seizure disorder and is autistic and the guide even promised to watch out for him. Once I broke free from under the boat a random man in a duckie reached out with his paddle for me. The guide didn't check on me or anything to make sure I was okay. What really makes me mad is that she made me believe my 11 year old could do this. I'm so glad she didn't because I can't guarantee her outcome would be as lucky as mine was. Later when talking to my friend, she mentioned that the guide revealed that this class III rapid is on a fine line of being a class IV. I am not happy at all with this experience. Duckies should not be used on a family rafting experience for kids as young as 6 with inexperienced parents paddling. I used to love whitewater rafting but this experience has turned me off completely for a long time. If you have young children and never had experience with a duckie, I'd reconsider. Oh and the worst part was looking at our trip photos after and seeing one of our boat flipped with my son floating by it and me under the boat reaching out of the water trying to push it off. That photo should not have been on there for everyone to see. Very unprofessional. read more

This place is well done and a good vacation spot for families, but I had one experience that left me with a bad taste in my mouth. After arriving and taking a look around the complex, my family went to the shop to make reservations for activities a couple days out. They scheduled a canopy tour but I wanted to go mountain biking. The woman I spoke with at the gift shop hadn't booked a bike trip before and didn't want to do it incorrectly, so I had to go across the street to the check in building to do it. By the time I waited in line and talked to someone over there, all the biking trips were booked. This new woman was nice enough to put me on the list anyway because I was going to do it by myself, but said I would have to pay the full-day rate for the half-day trip. This was a totally exploitative move that served no purpose but to squeeze a few extra dollars from me after my family easily spent $2000 to rent a 3 br cabin and do several days worth of activities. The woman claimed I had to be charged extra "because it's hard on the guides to take an additional person." Really? I doubt that guide will get the additional $40 I had to pay. If you want to milk a guest for extra cash, I'm sure there are plenty of ways to do it that aren't blatantly insulting. On top of it, the woman told me I would have to wait an hour for my invoice because there was a back up at the printer. It seems weird to charge $100+ and not give someone a receipt. read more

We had a great time at this resort! The Breezy Hill Cottage perfectly accommodated five people. It was clean and had a nice cabin feel. We did a full day of rafting on the New River. Scott was the best rafting guide and made the trip a fun and exciting experience for everyone! Would definitely recommend visiting and we will be back for the Gauley River in the future!! read more

I just got back from the most amazing trip with activities scheduled with Adventures on the Gorge. Me and three friends traveled from Philly and Columbus and met this past weekend for Bridge Day. We had booked and paid for all of our adventures ahead of time, so everything was a breeze once we got there. Day 1 - TreeTops and Zip Lining TreeTops was our first adventure and it was great! We had a smaller group of six people and two guides (Joe and E-Ray) on the tour. The trip took us up through the trees and through a series of bridges and zip lines. What I liked best about TreeTops is that it didn't include any obstacles courses, so it was an easy morning zipping through trees. Of course, if you want an obstacle course, you can always check out the TimberTrek Aerial Park (this is on my agenda for the 2014 trip). TreeTops took about 2-3 hours and was totally worth it. The guides were very patient and took some great pictures of us. Very pleased! Gravity Zip Lines were unbelievable - I had such an amazing time! Our group of 10 or so met one of our guides (Matt) at the main campus and we took a short 15 minute bus ride to the site. There, our other guide (Keith) was there with our gear to get us ready to head over to the training course. The guides walked us through what to do (which is basically nothing) and how to self-rescue (something that is also taught during TreeTops). After the intro, it's time to zip! That last zip is 3100 feet long with a 400 foot vertical drop. Loved every second of it! Day 2 - White Water Rafting - Lower New River (Bridge Day!) Since we were here for Bridge Day, we decided to get a look at the BASE jumping activities from another perspective - the river. We met at the campus bright and early and checked in. As another person said, the wetsuit rental area is a little bit of a cluster, but after you're through that, it's smooth sailing. We checked in and waited for the rest of the rafters to show up; then we grabbed our gear, packed onto a loaded bus, and were off. We met our guide, Stacy, and the rest of our boat at the drop in point. (There were eight people in our boat plus Stacy.) We had such an awesome day on the water. Stacy was absolutely great! Awesome personality, great stories, and really knew her stuff. We stopped right before the bridge and ate lunch a huge rock while we watched the BASE jumpers do their thing. Very, very cool. I'd definitely do this again! Day 3 - Horseback Riding and Hiking Horseback riding was through a third company, Montgomery Outdoors, which I will write a full review for. We were able to book it through AOTG and just show up, which was nice. It was more like a private hike as me and one other met up with Kyle to go on our hike. We took a 10 minute drive over to the trails for the Endless Wall. Kyle was super cool - he also rock climbs, so he was able to give us some info when we headed to the top and looked over the gorge and saw the climbers having fun. He knew a lot about the different trees and flowers in the area and shared a lot of interesting stories while we completed the two hour hike. All-in-all, I had an absolutely fantastic time during each of my adventures with AOTG! I will absolutely be back next year to check out some of the other activities I didn't get to do this year. We went yesterday with a group of 10 for a bachelor party and we had a blast. Our group was too big for one raft so we got split up in 6 and 4. I was in the group of 4 and we had Eric as a guide who was awesome! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He also had a good sense of humor and kept us on our toes the whole time. I would advise to tip your guides as soon as possible after the trip because we tried to look for him afterwards and couldn't find him. They provide lunch which also was very good and when you're done they give you a beer for the bus ride back. I have never been rafting but these guys did it right and I will be sure to recommend this company for anyone looking for a thrill. Thanks again Eric and the whole group for a great time! read more

I stayed at Adventures on the Gorge over the summer for a few days for a conference. I was dreading it because I typically don't get into outdoors entertainment. I have to admit that it was great. The cabin was great! I really enjoyed the outdoor activities. It was laid back and is probably the first time in a long time that I got to relax for a while. I highly recommend it. I liked it so much that I bought a long weekend trip for some friends as a wedding present. read more

This is our third time rafting with AOTG and it was as wonderful as always. The Upper Gauley is an intense run and it's good to have a rafting guide who you can trust. All the raft guides with AOTG are professional but fun. They love to tell stories of their time on the water, but still manage to get you through the bigger rapids (especially pillow rock and sweet falls). We have had 3 different Scotts (out of the 5 that work there) and they were all great in their own way. They do serve a nice hot lunch in the middle of the run, and also have lots of beer for the bus ride after. If you call ahead, they will usually throw in a wet suit and other perks. We are definitely looking forward to our 4th time next Gauley season. read more

5-star company to work with for rafting/lodging packages... our rustic cabins were great - very clean and complete with a fire ring, grill and furniture. the bathrooms were surprisingly clean - the only complaint was that the showers had to be "propped" on for the water to flow. otherwise, my showers were always warm. we did the class v rafting trip down the lower new river and it was fun-tastic! our guide, thom was full of fun and historic facts and made our boat of "virgin rafters" feel at ease the entire trip. he gave us a play-by-play - on what to expect once we reached a certain rapid site and what to do if we fall out! we had quite a spread lunching alongside the river: bread and wraps, deli meats and cheese, chips/salsa and crudites and chocolate pudding for dessert! the class vi campus has cornhole/baggo playlot to pass the time while you wait to raft/for dinner. we enjoyed drinks at chetty's pub as we viewed our rafting video (trevor did a great job catching our "best moments" on the river although i wish he had some better angles to catch the entire crew and not just the people up front) and feasted at smokey's for dinner. smokey's buffet served up a rather nice salad bar and carving stations including mahi mahi and roast beef. no huge chafing dishes and sneeze guards - a very nice display. the sponge cake at the dessert bar was my favorite :) read more

By far, New River Gorge is one of the best resorts in the area. The rock climbing stands out above the rest with it's natural rock faces, and beautiful scenery. Whether your just trying out rock climbing for the first time, or you it's a long time passion, and you are an experienced climber, and you want something more challenging. The rafting does not differ much. There are many different difficulties, from a calm yet fun slow moving rivers, to going down a 50 foot vertical waterfall. All in all the only downfall, is the service. While it is prompt, but the workers lack enthusiasm. But that is expected at a large resort. read more

I had an excellent first trip down the Fall Upper Gauley last year. To be honest, I was SUPER nervous about the trip, and luckily had a very experienced guide who gave us a wild ride while keeping us in the boat (ie no flips). Already planning my return trip with the same Class IV guide this Fall. I received a recommendation from several river guides out West to use Class VI after a less than great experience with another outfitter on the river several years before. I would not go down the river with any other company. read more

Pro's: + Great Camping Areas + Best facilities layout I've seen yet in WV + Thorough/detailed Map + Friendly/Hospitable Staff + Phenomenal Food Con's: + A bit unorganized + Little Expensive + Dish TV + Bar Service Upstairs Grabbed up a livingsocial deal, which we couldn't beat, and trekked our way to WV for a weekend of whitewater rafting. I've been to a couple of these wwrafting resorts (ACE, River Expeditions, etc) but none of those facilities have even come close to touching Adventures on the Gorge. This was by far the most amenities I've seen at a woodsy retreat. There is so much to do but it doesn't feel so touristy. The camping areas were well maintained and well spread out. Plus there were legitimate trees for some privacy.. which is hard to find. Also, the front desk is very organized and provides you will all check-in information if you arrive after check-in time expires and a thorough map, which makes it easier to navigate your way through the facilities in the dark. Now... the food was pretty fantastic. We stopped into the BBQ place in the evening after rafting and they had a BBQ buffet. This food was, no lie, nothing short of phenomenal. Ribs, chicken, pulled pork, corn on the cob, rice, beans, salad bar, desserts.. you name it, it was on the menu! Also I want to give a shoutout to the staff member who was off the clock and came over to the bar to get the TV working, because the TV Dish was acting funny and we couldn't get the O's game on. Long story short, the WV game was on and the bar above the outfitters store refused to change one of their TV's to the Orioles ALCS game (Which is a pretty big deal). I noticed a few other patrons leaving the bar because they were upset they wouldn't turn on the O's game but moving on. Went to the BBQ place and the dish was down for TBS, which is the station the O's were being streamed on. For 6 full innings of the game, these staff members worked together, on their own time, to fix this TV so that we could watch the game! That is the best customer service I ever experienced and it truly made my night that they could do that for us! I guess my biggest con was the rafting, which was probably the most important part of the entire trip. We got a late trip (10:10am), not a big deal... or so I thought. Unfortunately, everyone else who had went out earlier had already taken the majority of the wetsuits, so we were given the dinged up, holes galore, with broken zipper wetsuits. Not ideal, but they did the best they could. Also, because we went so late there were only 18 of us, but a guide canceled last minute so 18 indivduals had to fit into 2 rafts. Thus meaning, some individuals just had to sit and enjoy the ride and couldnt even paddle. Plus, my raft got stuck with some newbies who didn't feel the need to paddle... so we weren't moving and our guide skipped a lot of the good/fun/unique rapids because he thought we couldnt get through them with the individuals taking up the flank. Essentially, the wwrafting portion was a bust because we missed out on a lot, for those who couldn't paddle and it made for a very long and drawn out day. All that being said, because the staff was so hospitable... it is for that alone, that I would most definitely to return to Adventures on the Gorge! read more

Man, so much could be said. This place is First Class all the way. From easy check in with the pleasant folks in the office, to all the amenities. Where to start... well, check-in is done at a nice little cabin right off the roadway and they are as efficient as any other place to stay. They clearly explain where your accommodations are on a map and send you on your way. I have now stayed in a larger Sportsman Cabin with a fridge and private bathroom/shower and now even one of the smaller more rustic cabins with no fridge and the shared shower/bathroom facilities. Both are just fine. The Sportsman was spacious, and slept our whole flotilla with room to spare. The smaller cabin was alright for sleeping, even the little single bed I was in worked fine. The shared showers and restrooms were VERY clean and I never felt awkward, unsafe, or uncomfortable with the set up, so big Kudos there!! Now, there are your food and drink options. With 3 different restaurants, they have food for all seasons there. I am partial though, if given the choice, Smokies Dinner buffet is the BOMB!! Extremely high quality foods, served clean and hot in the most beautiful viewing area you could ask for looking over those mountains. The bars provide entertainment and deliciously cold beer at regular prices, nothing is overcharged (well, more than any other bar), and the staff are again super super nice. Now, the rafting. This makes my third time on the Lower New, each time with a different guide, and each time the river has been awesome!! The guides are all knowledgeable, chatty and funny, while at the same time having the experience to keep you safe while give you the trip of a lifetime. Take care of them at the end of the day, they work hard for you. I know I will be back, and hope to find out many more have taken the plunge at this TOP SHELF, WORLD CLASS Outfitter!!!! read more

This was my second year visiting Adventures on the Gorge for white water, and it was a blast. Both trips I went down the Lower New River, and I was able to experience different water levels. The river guides know every rapid and keep you informed throughout the day in terms of where the boat will hit the rapid, what parts of the rapids are dangerous, and what to do if you fall out of the boat. Our guide last year (2012) was Doug and this year (2013) was Kevin, both top-notch. You stop over for a quick delicious lunch and then it's back on the water to finish out the day. The whole experience lasts about six to seven hours. After the rafting, you get the option to purchase photos and video for souvenirs. They have two or three restaurants, and plenty of other outdoor activities to keep you entertained. All staff we encountered were friendly and very hospitable. Check out their website for more info. I was super nervous about going white water rafting for the very first time down the Gauley (class IV and V) but afterwards, I'm pumped to return again next year. The food on the trips were excellent and way better than expected while you're on a river! I'd love to go back and check out all of the other activities they have available. My boyfriend and I each purchased a deal through living social to go camping for two nights and rafting with lunch included, all for $89. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute and every aspect of our adventure! The staff was extremely friendly, our rafting guide, Terry, was wonderful, and the food was incredible! From the beautiful mountains to the gorgeous sunsets, this adventure was a great way to explore West Virginia! Really fun all-inclusive destination. We spent 3 days and 2 nights here. Everything they put on is first class. All of the buildings and amenities appears to be pretty new. The buffet meals are very good and there are multiple choices. I would recommend it especially for families since there is something to like for everyone. We would have liked to stay in a deluxe cabin but they were sold out and we stayed in a more modest cabin. It was still much better than using a tent w A/C and plenty of beds. The pool area is very nice and it's too bad its not just a little bigger. Rafting was very fun. I recommend the Lower New River as the Upper is not challenging and almost boring. Everyone we talked to was very helpful. I wasnt overly excited about the trip before we left but West Virginia and AOTG was very fun. read more

Mason Harp was amazing this evening! Food was absolutely incredible. Recommend the corn dip and trout dip for appetizers, then the dry rub ribs, the Mexican corn, and the chicken from the pit for dinner. Definitely will be coming here again. Service by Mason was amazing!! read more

Such a wonderful experience with some small glitches. We had a cabin that did not appear to be cleaned out between visits. Lots of cobwebs and spiderwebs. But hey, we were camping so not a big deal. The whitewater rafting excursion was amazing. The 4th of July fireworks on the 5th were spectacular. My one and only complaint - refill the toilet paper holders! Seriously! The bathrooms were so clean for a campground but it seemed that no one was checking the toilet paper holders. By the end of the weekend there was only one stall with toilet paper. read more

They stick to their no refund policy. Make sure you are able to keep an appointment. I was unable to keep a reservation and spent $190 with nothing to show for it . Yes i was aware the no refund policy; however, some leniency here does create goodwill and advertising for the company. I would have loved to have kept the reservation but medical emergencies take priority. read more

Our first time on the white water. A little anxious at first but quickly learned what to do and not do. Our river guide was a pro (Mike) and very knowledgeable of the area, history, and a comedian at times. Lunch was great, the homemade potato salad off the hook. We had a blast! I went in a group of 5 for a day trip on the Upper. The Upper happened to be closed due to tons of rain (a once every 10 year phenomenon). So, we road the Lower +. Our guide was great, the food was phenomenal for lunch, and the beer on the ride back was a refreshing touch. We will definitely be back. read more
