Working with Owen Henry has been an absolute nightmare. We purchased a Simpson double wood door in…read moreOctober 2016. The doors were painted and installed. Unfortunately, they were painted horribly and were rough like sandpaper. Owen Henry repainted and re-installed the doors two more times, both times, the paint job was not done well. During that same period, the Simpson door warped and one of the panels shifted and the wood was exposed. Owen Henry fixed the door (again) and assured me that if there were any other problems, Simpson had a warranty on the door. Fast forward to today, the panel is starting to shift/spilt again and the paint on the door is bubbling. I called Simpson this morning to discuss options to get the door fixed/replaced and was informed that since I painted my door a dark color the warranty is void. I was NEVER notified by Owen Henry that painting my door a dark color would void the warranty. I have called Owen Henry with no response. Stay away from this company! Update (12/15): After posting this review on social media, I received a call from Owen Henry to get an understanding of the problem and discuss options. Update (4/6/18): After reading the owner's response to my review below I would like to clear a few things up. 1. I was never offered $1000 to paint the doors a 4th time. I was offered to have the doors painted again or $500 to go towards another painter to fix the doors. I no longer wanted to deal with Owen Henry and elected to not have the doors fixed by them. We agreed that with all of the back and forth since October 2016, I would not be responsible for the remaining bill (50% of the original $3,507 bill) and we would call the bill settled. 2. The doors were not going to be from a new vendor, they were going to be replacement doors from Simpson due to the wood separating. These doors were going to be given to us raw, ie. they would need to be sanded, painted or stained, pre-fit with hinge/handle openings, and installed professionally. Owen Henry only offered $500 and to deliver the door. They refused to pre-fit the door and install it. This would have cost us an additional $1,000 to have done + $850 for a paint job. The $500 offer also came with strings attached, in order for us to receive the money, we would have to delete our Yelp and Google reviews which I don't believe is ethical. I offered to update the review, put the update at the top of the review, and change their star rating to 4 if they delivered the doors, pre-fit them, and installed them. They declined the offer. 3. I repeatedly asked the sales person that we worked with to speak to the owner directly, but in the year and half this debacle went on, he never directly communicated with me. All of this for a job that was never done 100% correctly. We don't have ridiculous standards, just want to receive a door that is painted properly and holds up for more than one year.

They had a very experienced installer who worked on old houses come assess, determine if it could be fixed without disrupting all the tile work, and custom ordered a window. I then decided to have them replace an old, odd-sized fire door in my basement as well (interior to exterior door). Both door and window were replaced with no issues, look fantastic, and the workmanship was top notch. Very pleased with the result!
