I've debated writing a review since the tile work was completed in Dec 2025. We ultimately feel the job was done poorly and Aldo was very reactive, making communication difficult. He never once stepped foot in our home and the project was a complete headache for us. 2 installers were initially sent to do the job, they ran into hiccups and got behind on their timeline so another person was added to the job who was far from detail oriented. Then the job became a rush effort and the results shows. Tile spacers weren't used so grout lines are inconsistent with a variety of spacing, grout was poorly completed leaving some large gaps along the perimeter, some missed areas and multiple stains where tile was ineffectively cleaned before it was sealed. They installed tiles with chipped corners in highly visible areas while there was plenty of extra tile to work with, and the tiles are far from level. Yes, it's natural stone, we understand there are natural variations in tile thickness but a skilled installer would have done much better work. It's really a shame, and a very costly one. Aldo sold me on his expertise and being "the best", with his hard sell strategy - which should have raised a cautionary flag. Any questions I raised during installation or concerns I had turned into a heated discussion and being told I should do the job if I know so much about how it should be done. His bid was very detailed with numerous bullet points identifying each step that would be taken from demo to completion. If I asked why a step was skipped or appeared to be incorrect it would result in a wound up and defensive argument with him. He also stated that the bid is written with AI, so "there's extra details that aren't necessary". Really?! Then edit the bid before you send it along. So, here we sit with a forever floor that cost over $30k for apx 800sf - plus $3000 in electrical work for the heated floor thermostats, and we are deeply disappointed. We're stuck with it and what seem to be a few "f-you" tiles that are so obviously installed for a good toe stub - in very high traffic areas. (I guess that's how the installers say "f-you" without saying it.) I don't recommend this company. They got paid in full and we got a subpar floor. read more

Very disappointed with the end result!! Things started off fine but when it came time to install the tile everything went downhill. Couple tiles were not set properly - shower wall one tile protruding out and on the floor tile uneven height. There was not enough grout on the shower floor or the actual floor you could see the holes in it. We also had a shelf put in and everything they did looked sloppy!! Complained about the work and they sent someone to fix it. They did replace one floor tile and put more grout to cover the protruding tile did not fix but put a bandage on it. The guy that came to fix the problems did not fix everything. My husband had to grout the shower floor and floor himself because he did not want them back in our home. The guy that came to fix all the problems did not protect the new tile floor and just put the broken up tile and mortar right on top of new floor. Then he used our snow shovel to pick up the debris , yes that is right a snow shovel on our brand new tile floor!!! read more

The attention to detail is very good. Planning stage worked with me for ideas and what I should be looking to purchase. Start of the job, the workers went through what was needed. They covered furniture in plastic and tarps over the floors. Very neat and professional. Material that comes with instruction guides, they took the time to read to make sure the item is installed properly. One item was missing a part and they let me know so I could obtain a new piece with all the parts present. Highly recommended. I had my ceramic shower gutted and redone. I experienced several problems with this Contractor. The owner was very rude, and unprofessional with handling issues. Keep your contract handy, because he tried to increase my balance due. The contract states that the manager will do a final walk through, I never saw the manger after the first day. My house was left dirty, and small issues that were unresolved. I would stay away from this company. read more

Extremely poor value, 900qft .. I received a quote of over $13,000 for labor only.. & was told to also provide the dumpster. It's important for me to share this quote if it'll only save one person from wasting time. Extremely overpriced at over $1,000 per square feet ( labor only ).. With all material being provided, I'm just thankful the estimate was free waste of time for A.E. Title inc. Chris was very kind & professional, but unfortunately there's no integrity .. We had Aldo and his team came out to do tile for our 3 bathrooms. We had nothing but problems the entire time. Starting with one of his employees drinking on the job. To then find everyone room needed to be fixed because of improper installation. He will not return our call and we have had to pay someone else over $3,000 to come in to do the repairs after he charged over $19,000 for his install. Obsoletely HORRIBLE!!! read more

AE Tile did an outstanding job on my luxury vinyl flooring in my family room. Unlike some contractors who show up late ....work a few hours and then leave for the day Chris, Jason, Hector, Mike and Joe arrived at the job site at 7:30 and did a FULL DAY of work leaving at 4:30 or later each day they were here. The quality of work they did was beyond belief I would definitely recommend A.E Tile to anybody looking for quality work . They paid attention to the our questions and requests and left our house cleaner than it was before they came each day. Because of the the quality of the work performed on the family room we had A.E. Tile do additional work in our house which was removing and installing new tile in our bathroom and entrance to the house. We had a tub to walk-in shower renovation done 18 months ago by a now bankrupt contractor. That contractor has disappeared. The threshold (curb) buckled from water leakage and needed improvment. The Tile Shop in Naperville recommended Aldo at AE tile. The threshold was expediently and competently fixed and improved by Aldo's workman Tim. However the contract includes the words quote: "remove shower door left and right and reinstalled". Tim had no impact wrench or adequate tools, using only a small screwdriver and brute force stripped the screws (for which later Aldo wanted to charge me). Tim decided to re-install the door 1/4 inch higher, and eyeballed the holes without measuring. The doors are heavy plate glass, and did not line up after that. Before they worked fine, we used the shower that same morning. Before they skimmed the buckled curb but did not interfere (the old stone shows no marks whatsoever of scraping). Not that it matters on reinstall. On reinstallation the hinges were not even flush to the wall, with gaps 1/16 to 1/8 inch. After my advising Aldo of a negative review coming, enduring Aldo's anger tirades, with Aldo never at any time coming to my home to view, finally Aldo sent a new tile crew (not door installers) the next day. They got the hinges flush but still could not get the doors to line up. There was 3/4 inch misalignment top to bottom. Aldo ordered his crew to leave, denied all responsibility, blamed me, and began a blistering attack of disparaging texts and phone calls. The glass door vendor came by two days later and advised the walls are perfectly fine, the one and only problem is the new screw holes were not properly lined up. As a result I must replace several ruined tiles and of course have the doors installed properly. When things went wrong, Aldo took no responsibility. He viciously attacks the customer, making it personal rather than just professional. I would not recommend his services. read more

I had an amazing experience with AE Tile. It's hard to find a contractor around here in the panhandle that turns up when they say they are going to turn up. Every day the guys turned up before or exactly on the time they gave every day. My time was respected and that is HUGE! And on top of that, they cleaned up as they worked and never left leaving stuff in the way. AE tile, completely gutted my small bathroom and totally renovated it. I am so happy . Contracted with A.E. Tile, Inc. to install a ceramic tile backsplash to our newly remodeled kitchen. Within 2 months the grout was falling out of the joints between the countertop and backsplash, and between the cabinets and backsplash. The business owner (Aldo) came out to take care of the problem. He started by blaming the countertop installer, stating that it was installed incorrectly. Then he blamed the failure on the fact that the backsplash was installed on an exterior wall, where the outside heat and cold permeates to the tile and loosenes the grout due to expansion and contraction. Interestingly, grout was coming out of the joints against an interior wall, as well. The countertop is "L" shaped. Finally, he blamed us for not having caulk for his men to use, which he says should have been used instead of grout. (we supplied the material). O.K., we also were short on a special tile piece, which we quickly ran to the tile store to obtain for the installers. Funny, they never mentioned we were missing the caulk. We could have picked that up, also. There was plenty of time, as these items were not needed until late in the process. The installers never said, "Hey, we need caulk." They just used the grout. I asked Aldo, if like the countertops, were the cabinets also installed incorrectly, causing the grout to come out of these joints? He was becoming increasingly rude as a result of me asking him these types of questions-to the point of him using mild profanity in front of both my wife and me. Finally, he refused to correct the problem. When I suggested he might find himself in court, he laughed. But, in the end, Aldo begrudgingly repaired his work. We'll see if it lasts. This was a very poor display of professionalism. His customer service was nothing short of abhorrent. He was very happy to take our money. But when it came time to stand behind his work? Well, not so much!! Watch out for this guy. read more
