I'll spare you the details, but once we met Tadas, we knew we had the right guy. Everything about Tadas and his crew is professional. From the estimate, exploring color options, prep work, and the dustless sanding to the installation and finishing processes, everything went as planned. No surprises. We went from a light oak finish to a "mocha" brown finish, and it looks AMAZING! We had big concerns about scratched areas (two dogs) and water damaged areas. We decided to replace our carpet in the family room and stairs with hardwood and lace a new floor into our 17 year old existing kitchen wood floor. We received quotes from 4 companies. We found Tadas to be the most cost effective, easy to work with and on time and budget. We were very happy with his crew and felt part of the process the whole time. He texted us updates very quickly on any questions we had. He and his crew are craftsmen and went above and beyond. He helped us move a large refrigerator as an example. After the job was completed, we had an issue and Tadas came out, said the issue was his issue and fixed it for free and I am sure it was not without some cost to him. He stands by his work and that is greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend him and will use him again if we decide to replace some more carpeting. Tadas and crew had been out to my house 7 years ago and did a very nice job so of coarse I called him again to refinish floor. He came out and gave me an estimate that was fine with me and stated that I would be put on the schedule for 1st week in May. We note the contractors response; We don't want to sound mean spirited but Wow, they will respond here but never called us. Thank you though for the offer of cleaning products. We wish you well in your future endeavors. The fact is, we scheduled them, they rescheduled but then failed to show .... No call, we had to call them and would be still waiting for a date. We understand things happen and we were flexible but he never called us back with a date, a ballpark date or even to tell us he couldn't do it. We are technically still waiting for a date. We got quotes from a well known Flooring Company and it was almost double. That is because the other company has a big building- ( rent ) - and they pay a salesman to come out and measure and quote. Tapas stopped by the house and immediately knew exactly what he had to do. There were some repairs (wood) where walls used to be, plus refinishing. He presented a super detailed estimate with suggestions on different price-points. We chose Option 1 and the result was incredible. We are very happy with the work his team did. Very dedicated, knowledgeable and friendly. Very hard, detailed work. These guys know what they're doing. We asked for another quote before Tadas and the guy kept saying: This is going to be too difficult. The price difference was 200 or 300 dollars less. Tadas recently completed a complete sanding, restaining, and refinishing of all the hardwood floors throughout our home (entire first floor, stairs including risers, railing, ballistics, etc.), upstairs hall wall and master bedroom. He expertly repaired several areas prior to doing the work, including several squeaks and did a FABULOUS job on completing the work, on time and on budget. He is meticulous and it shows through in the quality of his work. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone. read more

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this business - after explaining that I had no one to move the larger furniture items from my upstairs for the floor refinishing, I made arrangements with Tadas to have his workers move the furniture that I was unable to move on my own. After removing every piece of small furniture from the upstairs and getting ready for them to start on my refinishing project, his workers arrived this morning and said they would not be moving any furniture and were leaving to go work on another job. We were told the job wasn't big enough for them to bother. I called and texted Tadas immediately, seeking clarification on his agreement and in an effort to have the work proceed. I got no response to my initial calls. I called again a few hours later, when I had a break at work, and tried to resolve the problem so that my floors could be finished, he kept saying there was a "misunderstanding," when in actuality he had over-promised and then not delivered at all. He, himself, provided the estimate and observed the furniture items that needed to be moved and had personally agreed to provide that service. He was unwilling to offer any suggestions or compromise to correct the situation and get the furniture moved so they could start the job (I even offered to pay extra for the furniture to be moved) and instead told me that this job, and my customer satisfaction, was not important enough for him to be bothered with trying to find a solution that would enable completion of the job. The workers he sent this morning were dismissive, abrupt and non-responsive - they would not even contact their boss, who had negotiated the movement of large furniture items with me, before bolting out of the house to go to another job. When I informed Tadas that I would make sure prospective clients knew how unprofessional his behavior was, he accused me of threatening him. I said it wasn't a threat, and I would tell the truth so that other people don't have their time wasted by him and his employees. Apparently, if he has something better to do, you won't be a priority, no matter what he tells you. The events of this morning were even more frustrating, as they were originally scheduled to begin the work yesterday, and the evening before hand, Tadas contacted me to say they were not finished with another job in Elmhurst, and would not be here at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday as promised, but would be here around 11:00 instead. I informed him that I would not be able to get back to the house by 11:00, as I had to be at work. So we rescheduled to today, when his workers came, looked at the furniture, and then bolted to get to another job. I suspect that they were double booked and just too lazy or dishonest to tell me the truth or they felt my project was not important enough to provide the services they promised to provide. Either way, save yourself the time, frustration and aggravation and hire someone who will value your time as much as their own, who will be honest in their dealings with you and who will do what they say they'll do, because he will not do any of those things. read more

I had heard so many good things about Tadas Flooring and was really excited for them to complete the work on my floors. I called one day and spoke to a gentleman who arranged to come out to my home the following day between 10 and 11 AM. After waiting until 11:15 AM he did not show and did not call. I called and left a message and that call was never returned. I called the following day and that call was never returned. I called two weeks later and that call was never returned then emailed a week ago and that email was never responded to. Seems like pretty horrible customer service at the get go to stand a customer up and then not return the phone calls. If he didn't want the job he at least owes me the courtesy of a call back. read more

Tadas's pricing was competitive, but more importantly, we felt very comfortable with his knowledge, passion for his work and as a person to do business with. We were definitely not disappointed. I had tried for a few weeks to find someone to refinish the wood floors in the bedrooms of our house with no success, until I found Tadas. Tadas went out of his way to fit us on his schedule with very short notice. He came out the same day I called to take a look at the floors and to take measurements. He said he would have a quote to me by the end of the evening, which he did. Tadas sent me a very informational and professional document with the quote via email. I couldn't get one of the larger companies, Apex, to even call me back with the quote (which by the way they charge you a fee to come out and look at the floors). Not only was Tadas at the house and working when he said he would be, but the end result is nothing short of amazing. Tadas removed the gross orange colored polyurethane from the late 1960's off of the floors and stained them a rich, dark color that he mixed per our specifications. Oh, and they get rid of all of the dust! I can't even begin to descibe to you how much better the house looks because of his work. If you're looking for someone to refinish your floors, hire this guy and his crew. Phenomenal customer service and fantastic results!!! read more
