Just paid to have pool closed. They arrive and stripped out all the brass anchors with power drill instead of manually removing anchors. I proceeded to show them that the tool was stripped and that this is why the anchors would not unscrew. Install team left in middle Of closing. Now my pump is disconnected. I have 200 dollars of chemicals in the pool and no way to run the filter. Leaves are filling the pool and in waiting for a phone call to finish the install of my cover . This company installed my pool, cover. Everything only 3 years ago. As the other reviews state they don't care . No apologies and no follow up unless you harass them. Service is never available and the owner is not involved in business other than collecting your money. To say that they win the gold award every year in Hampton roads only shows it is rigged . Unprofessional, sub par craftsmanship & communication, Sub contractors Insurance liability Were do I start!!!  First, I never write reviews because stuff does happen, but this was by FAR the WORST experience we have ever encountered and it has to be shared. BUYER BEWARE!!!.  We had a fiberglass pool put in May 2019 and was told 30-45 day turn around. LIE. 7 months from start to finish.   The project manager - Rude, Disrespectful, (Actually hung up on my wife when questioned about the pool techs incompetence) Even told me at one point in the process that they were busy getting pools open for the summer is why it was taking so long (WOW) So get our money...then show up when you want???  Great customer service.  I don't think so. Also he actually skipped right over the pool heater operation at his pool school presentation. I actually had to figure out how to work it. I would say he needs a bit more training ( BTW the pool heat pump already had to be replaced after 3 months. leaking heat ex-changer) Wow.   The pool tech- It took him 3 weeks to shock the pool once it was in. One day he showed up didn't even know how to turn the breaker on to run the system(Wow). Next time he showed up...forgot the chemicals. (Wow) then he set the deck jets on one side of the pool deck to low and the concrete subs covered them over when doing the concrete.(Wow, Wow)  After making the concrete company aware of this twice while they were on site...they said "oh the pool people will take care of it". Right!  Another month of sending out the pool techs out, drilling and hitting the concrete with a hammer to try to find the deck jets buried 1 inch in concrete (WOW)    Finally we had enough and had to bypass the Project Manager because he wont call you back for weeks and speak with the owner. They finally send the concrete subs back out...no notice..just showed up...when rain is expected the next day (Wow) i had to turn them away because i had family coming in town and we didn't want a big mud hole around the pool. You don't ever just show up to someones house...Not professional!! So the next week the concrete subs do show up to remove 2 sections of my pool deck so the pool jet can be redone. Good thing I was home that day (we learned to be home when any of them show up because at this point we started to NOT trust them) they show up and looked to have some young kids/adults working with them.  I learned one was a grandchild (he was about 5). I look out my window and to my surprise while the others are working busting up the concrete the grandson is swimming in the pool (Double Wow) Talk about a liability!!!!  this must be reported to the BBB. I did tell them to get him out the pool ASAP!!!   Afterwards the pool tech did come back out and redo the deck jets and the new concrete sections did get poured. At this point we have NO faith and considered even suing them at one point. The last step was the pool cover which we actually got quotes & considered getting elsewhere because of the nightmare that was upon us... Against our better judgment, we decided to just finish out with Aegean because we didn't want them holding our warranty paperwork against us if we didn't fulfill the contract. Boy another mistake that was...they ended up drilling tie down anchors into our brick waterfall face that now has to be repaired by a mason.(Wow, wow, Wow)  After this...we actually emailed the owner and banned all Aegean employees, friends, relatives of Aegean employees from our property for EVER!!!   Long story short...We have NEVER encountered such a disaster as this was. I deal with a lot of contractors and subcontractors in my line of business and from start to finish this Company needs a lot of HELP. If we could turn back the hands of time...and go elsewhere...believe me we would.  Aegean won't be getting anymore of our business, we will go to a company that actually cares & know what they are doing. I would not recommend using this pool place. The manager, Jim Garrison, is very RUDE. BEWARE when making any type of purchase from these people. Find their facebook page an read those reviews. What kind of company deletes a customers review just because it wasn't a good review. Aegean installed a liner for us 4 years ago. Every year for the past 4 years we complained to them that we were losing water. They kept telling us it was evaporation and to do the bucket test. Hired 2 leak detection services and one recommended by Aegean who came to our house, couldn't find the source and never came back!! We finally had success with a company that found 5-6 holes all in vulnerable/void areas of the liner. Not the obvious places you'd expect to find them either. We were very suspect and complained immediately after the liner was installed that the grouting left ripples and divots, we were made to feel like it was our fault particularly by Rico a manager for the company. We were so frustrated! We purchased the highest end liner on the floor and I now fully believe that we were right all along and the liner was compromised from poor installation and that our complaints and concerns fell on deaf ears. I can't even think of all the money we spent over the years thinking it was evaporation or worse. This pool liner leaked from DAY ONE!! I can't believe I replaced a 13 year old liner whose only fault was it's fading with an upgraded liner that was installed with poor workmanship and end result degradation of the liner and ultimately compromises to its integrity. A pool liner should last more than 3-4 years! We haven't even been in our pool yet so this liner is basically 3 years old. I'd give no stars if I could. read more

As new above-ground pool owners, we know very little about care and maintenance...we walked in looking for a winterization kit. I don't know who the salesman was, but he sold exactly what we needed and nothing we didn't. And much to our suprise, the prices we not high at all. He gave us suggestions for winterization and suggestions for next year. He was a pleasure to deal with and will be returning soon. read more

Rick Garrison, Service Manager and Rico have no clue as to what customer service means when it comes to installation of pool liners. Their lack of communication and lack of taking pride in the service they performed was a major issue. Had we purchased a $5.00 pool liner installation service from them I'd say we got what we paid for; They got the deposit ordered the liner and once it came in and they started the process is where the nightmare began. They removed the old liner and the contents of the pool leaving the trash behind for us to clean up???? Some of it in bags and some of it shoveled in to our recently treated lawn. No communication given as to what the next steps would be or how to discard of the trash they left scattered all around our 24000 gallon pool. Every step of the way we had to follow up with them and still no direct communication as to what the next steps would be and what to expect. Needless to say we ended boxing up 6 large boxes of trash and hauling them to the curb for the pick up we arranged with the city after about 2wks of Aegean Pools work being started. One visit to their Chesapeake location and several conversations of the poor communication and their lack of cleaning up behind themselves lead to another visit from the same installation team that wrecked the place to now clean up their mess left on the lawn. No follow up from their Management team and no apology to the horrible customer service we experienced. Needless to say I'd never recommend them for any service nor step foot back in their store. read more

Aegean two years ago put in a pool for us and it was ultimately a good experience. Mario, one of the owners was great to work with. We moved to a new home and there was a pool- we opted to use Aegean because of our experience with Mario from our building pool experience. The pool needed a liner and we opted to put in a salt system- bad move. The liner was put in with several wrinkles, the salt system has been faulty at best. Rico is not honest in his communication, it changes with each conversation. They are not standing by their products and they are bold and brazen in their approach. The customer service is deplorable. I am not one to write surveys as I believe customer service in general has fallen so horribly in all of society, however this latest instance with Aegean has forced me rate them at a negative 1, they are just horrible and their instore staff isn't much better. They are rude and have political discussions right out in the open not caring if you have a differing opinion. I would strongly discourage them as a service provider. read more

Aegean Pools was contracted months ago to replace vinyl liner and pool light in our Tru L inground pool. Instead of the 3-5 days install they advertise, we are going on 5 weeks, and still not complete (no pool light). On the "final" day of install (approx 4 weeks after initial work), they found out the pool light they bought wouldn't fit. Since then, they've been out 3 different times with no success to replace the pool light. Today I spoke with Rico and informed him how dissatisfied I was with his communication and expertise WRT finding a pool light (in a pool I'm pretty sure they installed decades ago) and informed him I would no longer do any business with Aegean. I'm not sure how they stayed in business this long, but know this is the last time I'll ever do business with Aegean Pools. In my particular situation, I truly don't feel they care about me as a customer, and could care less about fulfilling their contract. So very disappointed in this company and would advise all to stay away from this pool business. Steve C read more

Aegean installed our pool in 2016. Since then, have had 2 issues with the Hayward Pump and Aegean handled both issues professionally and timely. I'm very happy with them and have recommended them to friends thinking about a pool. read more

We had Aegean open our pool a week ago. The bolts on the ladder were put on so tight, that we could not move the ladder out of the way of the Polaris when we were cleaning the pool. We called to have them come back out to loosen the bolts, but was told there would be a $79 service fee to come out to unloosen the bolts that they had tighten in the first place. read more

Shady, shady, shady. Had a broken power switch on water pump and wife dropped it off in the winter. I forgot about it for a few months, my fault, I admit. No reminder calls or letters in the interim. Went to pick up pump and half of it was missing. They said I only turned half. I told them there was no way as I do not know how to remove half. They said that maybe my wife removed the other half. I told them that was even less likely. Then they said that half probably "fell off" when my wife was transporting it and she didn't notice. Told me to go look in my garage and I'd find it. I pointed out how absolutely ridiculous they were being and that they had lost part of my pump. They showed me a piece of paper they printed out after 30 minutes in the back that said I only dropped off half of pump. I told them that proves they keep poor records as once again neither I or my wife know how to take pump apart. They said it was still my fault but they would help me. They brought out another customers pump from out back and took half off to put on mine. I pointed out that they had probably done that with mine and that is why half is missing. They denied it. Said other customer didn't want the pump. Took pump home and realized they had changed power cord as well and it wasn't compatible with outlet. Took pump back and they said I had changed cord. I pointed out that if I was capable of that I would have fixed the pump myself. Then they said an electrician must have changed outlet without my knowledge. Speechless. They changed the cord out and when I got it home and plugged it in...motor no longer worked. So, they did fix the power switch, but lost, sold, broke everything else and accused me of being at fault for everything. Super sketchy place. Take your business elsewhere or caveat emptor!!! read more

This place is the best from our salesperson to the delivery of our elite hot tub. The delivery and set up was so smooth everything was explained step by step. We checked other hot tub companies and they blew the others out of the water. We 100% recommend Aegeon Pools! Also, the men doing the set up were really fun to deal with. read more
