Elite is an excellent dance studio, from day one through their very polished recitals. It's important to note that this is not a cutesy/playtime type of studio. Dance is a discipline, and so dress code and presentation are taken seriously. For first-timers, that might feel a little intimidating, but there's a reason behind it. Hair and makeup need to be spot-on for recitals, because there's always a chance your cute 3 or 4-year-old might get on stage and just stand there! But guess what? They'll look fantastic doing it. And then, year after year, you'll see their confidence and ability grow. As a parent, you will need to stay on top of recital packets to know who/what/where/when, and I find Elite to be very thorough in the material they send out, or if you simply call them ahead of time. Another perk.. they have a professional photographer who takes photos on stage and backstage at shows/recitals for FREE. As well as a videographer, which is very much appreciated. The owner, Toni, taught my oldest years ago and is fantastic, both as a teacher and as a business owner. Neither of my girls have ever been on team, but both have always enjoyed their classes. The teachers are wonderful with age-appropriate instruction (shout out to Miss Princess with the littles) and technique. My 7-year-old only takes one ballet class currently, yet she could not be more excited to be performing in The Nutcracker for her second year in a row. Needless to say, we love Elite!

We drove 2 hours to deal with her stale attitude. After about 45 minutes of her bad vibe I stopped and was stretching and her response was you have about 15 minutes if you are done let me get you out of your harness and you guys can go. We paid $150 for a two person class and after asked if there was a water fountain and she said no but you can buy water for $1. Really $150 and you can't comp a bottle of your off brand generic water?!!! So what to know if she's having a good day ... She has different harnesses some are more comfortable than others. I would not recommend the class if you are looking for fun. I could see it being good for someone who is looking for technique.

I had to switch back and forth with a stranger which was awkward and made it even harder for me to pick up the moves. I was, after all, a beginner in a beginner's class. I would consider returning if the studio committed to not overbooking the equipment. For example, a Pilates studio would never ask you to share a Reformer with a stranger, and The Vertitude should hold itself to the same standards as other gym studios with special equipment.

I booked the Intro to AIReal Yoga class through ClassPass, with Kristen O' Briant as the instructor. You can either bring your own mat or use one provided by the studio. They offer both aerial and AIReal Yoga classes that use hammocks in the practice. Our class took place in the back of the room, where a beautiful array of hammocks was set up. Kristen was an amazing instructor--she took special care of beginners, ensured we were making safe moves, and offered modifications when needed, all while providing encouragement and still challenging us. As an avid yogi, these hammocks really helped deepen my asanas, and I enjoyed this fresh approach. The highlight for me was the floating shavasana. Normally, I struggle to fully relax during the final shavasana in traditional yoga classes, but this experience was magical. Swaying gently and being cocooned in the hammocks - like a butterfly before it transforms or a baby in a womb - made it the most relaxed I've ever been during shavasana. A couple notes for the studio: during the first half of the class, there was also a children's class happening at the same time. It wasn't too disruptive but did occasionally make it hard to focus and be present. Also, dimming the lights during the final shavasana would enhance the atmosphere as well as show off the beautiful twinkle lights strung above the rafters. I highly recommend this experience and am looking forward to my next class! *HOT TIP: This was my first visit to Pacific View Mall, and I had trouble finding the studio. The studio is located inside the mall and between Old Navy and American Eagle.

She booked a private class at the beginning of January after speaking with someone directly on the phone. After that initial conversation, there was no professional follow-up. She took it upon herself to follow up multiple times, only to be told--after friends had already flown in and family had made plans--that the studio suddenly did not have availability for her party. The handling of this situation was incredibly unprofessional. The woman she spoke with was combative, dismissive, and unwilling to take accountability. Instead of owning the mistake, she repeatedly said, "It seems like there was a miscommunication," without offering a real solution. She resisted returning the security deposit and only offered a random evening class time that did not work. Phone calls were not returned, and communication was inconsistent and careless. After having to fight to get the deposit back, we received nothing more than a few curt text messages. There was no apology, no attempt to make it right, no offer of a comped class, and no accountability. Corporate never reached out at all. There was no follow-up, no acknowledgment, and no effort to resolve the issue. This was meant to be a joyful celebration, and instead it became stressful and disappointing due to poor communication and unprofessional business practices. If you value clear communication, accountability, and respect for your time and money, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. This review is being left because this experience was unacceptable, and no one should have their milestone celebration handled in this way.

None of them had ever tried aerial arts before, and some were a little nervous about it. But after just a few minutes, Kristy had them upside down and smiling. This is a review for parents with kids…read more I am talking about West Valley Dance Academy. I've taken my now close to 4 year old to this studio for the past 6 months, and every day has been great! The school is owned and operated by Lisa Tran. Lisa is a mother and former dancer herself, so she understands both. Lisa teaches many classes herself, and from what I've witnessed, all the kids learn + have a lot of fun. My daughter's main teacher is Kate Newham -- and my daughter loves her! She actually asks before we go if we'll be seeing Miss Kate. Miss Kate is so kind and understanding of all the little kids needs. Many of them, as we all know, just say what's on their mind at any time. Kate always listens, but directs the kiddies back to dance. Also. At no time do the kids just run around and do what they want. Miss Kate has the innate ability to reach them, and keep them dancing. It is a wonderful sight to see, One of the other hi-lights of the school is the ability to watch your children dance, even if you are at home. Lisa sends out a link allowing one to watch their kids progress in the world of dance. Many times, I am watching my daughter from the waiting room, while my wife is viewing from work. Oh yeah, parents aren't allowed in the actual dance studio. You just wait in the comfortable lobby, and watch from there. I should also mention, if one day your little one has to miss a class, they can easily make it up another day They also sell dance shoes, and clothes, in case your tiny dancer needs it. Everything one might need is right there at the studio. I know this school takes older kids too. So don't worry about that. They also put on recitals throughout the year for the bigger kids. Can't wait for my Callie to be in one herself. I usually try to put price of classes, but since my daughter is still in the toddler stage, I can tell you that it is more than reasonable. During the pandemic, masks were required for every person who was in the building. As of right now, masks are optional. I can guarantee, if things change, Lisa will be at the forefront, and mask wearing will be mandatory once again. What I tell people looking for a dance class, is to call West Valley Dance Academy, and request an intro class, so you can see if it works for you and your family.
