I've been attending a weekly silk class at The Aerial Classroom for 8 weeks and here is what I've…read morenoticed: Week 1: I had no idea what to expect going in. I flopped around on the silks like a pigeon caught in barbed wire. The next day my whole body was sore but the class was fun so I decided to go again. Week 2: Learning new moves. I think I started this 30 years too late to make it Cirque De Soleil but I like it so I'll keep going. It feels like my posture is getting better. Week 3: My clothes are fitting better. I've lost at least an inch off my stomach. Week 4: Very little cramping at that time of the month compared to normal. Week 5: This is addictive, I feel like I need more of this new drug. Every tree I see becomes potentially climbable. Week 6: Come to think of it that pain in my neck and shoulders that was there for years hasn't been there since I started this. Week 7: This might be some kind of Benjamin Button thing because I feel younger. Week 8: Monthly cramping is gone. I feel mentally sharper. I've discovered the fountain of youth. Granted all of these are the effects of exercise, but I find just going to the gym and doing the same thing over and over to be boring. With acrobatics there is always something new to learn.

We just came to have fun there was no free play. I don't believe she smiled once. I get someone having an off day but that is when you professionally apologize. We drove 2 hours to deal with her stale attitude. After about 45 minutes of her bad vibe I stopped and was stretching and her response was you have about 15 minutes if you are done let me get you out of your harness and you guys can go. We paid $150 for a two person class and after asked if there was a water fountain and she said no but you can buy water for $1. Really $150 and you can't comp a bottle of your off brand generic water?!!! So what to know if she's having a good day ... She has different harnesses some are more comfortable than others. I would not recommend the class if you are looking for fun. I could see it being good for someone who is looking for technique.

I had to switch back and forth with a stranger which was awkward and made it even harder for me to pick up the moves. I was, after all, a beginner in a beginner's class. I would consider returning if the studio committed to not overbooking the equipment. For example, a Pilates studio would never ask you to share a Reformer with a stranger, and The Vertitude should hold itself to the same standards as other gym studios with special equipment.

I booked the Intro to AIReal Yoga class through ClassPass, with Kristen O' Briant as the instructor. You can either bring your own mat or use one provided by the studio. They offer both aerial and AIReal Yoga classes that use hammocks in the practice. Our class took place in the back of the room, where a beautiful array of hammocks was set up. Kristen was an amazing instructor--she took special care of beginners, ensured we were making safe moves, and offered modifications when needed, all while providing encouragement and still challenging us. As an avid yogi, these hammocks really helped deepen my asanas, and I enjoyed this fresh approach. The highlight for me was the floating shavasana. Normally, I struggle to fully relax during the final shavasana in traditional yoga classes, but this experience was magical. Swaying gently and being cocooned in the hammocks - like a butterfly before it transforms or a baby in a womb - made it the most relaxed I've ever been during shavasana. A couple notes for the studio: during the first half of the class, there was also a children's class happening at the same time. It wasn't too disruptive but did occasionally make it hard to focus and be present. Also, dimming the lights during the final shavasana would enhance the atmosphere as well as show off the beautiful twinkle lights strung above the rafters. I highly recommend this experience and am looking forward to my next class! *HOT TIP: This was my first visit to Pacific View Mall, and I had trouble finding the studio. The studio is located inside the mall and between Old Navy and American Eagle.

The instructor was patient; accommodating; helpful; and high / positive energy. The studio is clean and spacious with one restroom and caddy storage. For context, my mom's NEVER worked out in her life before. I also had surgeries (most recently October 2025) and have been unable to exercise since 2024. We took Christina's class on a Saturday morning and it was everything and more than we expected. Vera also assisted Christina, and they provided such an open and inviting environment. We were out of our comfort zones, but we were guided and felt safe throughout the whole way. It's silly, but I'm scared of heights (and falling) and genuinely thought that I wasn't going to be able to have my feet leave the ground. Vera and Christina's knowledge and warmth quickly disarmed my fears. I was still holding back, but I knew that we were secure and in good hands. Also, in my opinion, this was a GREAT beginners workout. My mom and I are not in the best shape, but Christina also educated us about modifications to the movements we were doing and the whole experience was accessible and inclusive. For the first time in such a long time, I was able to actually work out without having any complications after the fact. The videos make it look easy, but you're definitely still getting a workout. I also want to recognize how they were always engaging and attentive to our needs. At some point, my mom did have to take a break and step out, but Christina and Vera checked on her during and after class. Also, they airdropped us some class footage for free, which we appreciated. To call the experience welcoming would be such an understatement. It was our first time, but Christina and Vera were approachable and really made our experience unforgettable. My first level 1 class was overall good experience. It is…read morevery peaceful but also energetic. You will get very nice stretch. First class you will be introduced to the process, poses and how to control the hammock. Things that I wish were a bit different: instructor should be focused and slower with a people that are first time there, specially with the way how you adjust the hammock and control it. I feel, as English is not my first language and being first time there, I would have to figure out most of the things naturally, on my own, without instructor correcting me. After few classes with different teachers, if you are beginner, definitely look for a classes with Mary! She will make you more confident, guide you properly trough every pose and give amazing advices. Her way definitely changed my picture about this studio in a more positive way. She approached to us with amazing background knowledge but also understanding what you would need as an beginner. I hope that she will teach more classes in the afternoon as well, so I can fit it with my work schedule, but for now will definitely attend her Sunday classes.

I recently planned an event with FocusFish for a group of teenage girls. They absolutely loved the…read moreexperience! The setting is magical- surrounded by nature in a beautiful tent/pavilion. The owner, Kristy, is exceptional. It is clear that she has had a lot of experience working with kids. She was encouraging and helpful and enthusiastic. She really connected with the girls and made them feel so comfortable. The activity itself was a big hit with the girls. None of them had ever tried aerial arts before, and some were a little nervous about it. But after just a few minutes, Kristy had them upside down and smiling. Each girl absolutely wants to do this again. It was so fun, and a great workout, too. I would recommend this as a team building/bonding activity, birthday party, or even just a fitness class.
